(Oh good!)
“I love that feeling.” Lighter replied almost silently, studying her face. She was pretty.
Hope smiled. "Perhaps we could collaborate and I could sing as you play?"
“That actually sounds rather romantic.” He replied with a smirk, leaning over the table. “I’m in. Just give me a song and I’ll learn it.”
Hope blushed. He was so close to her. He was definitely a romantic weather he tried it or not. "Hm, well. Looks like I have some thinking to do."
“Let me know when you decide.” He purred, tilting his head. He looked her up and down, humming. “No wonder you have all the guys staring at you. You’re gorgeous.” He murmured, smiling softly at her.
She turned a bright crimson. "I..I am not." She stammered. His attractive smile distracted her. She almost forgot the English language.
“Mm, don’t lie to yourself, it’s not a good thing to do, Hope.” He couldn’t get over how cute she was either. He loved it. The more he got to know her the more she seemed like someone he wanted to date. Marx wouldn’t punish her if he dated her, right?
“No wonder the jocks can’t keep their eyes off of you.” Lighter let out a soft whine. “I can’t keep my eyes off you.”
Hope blushed even more. She noticed the amount of flirtiness he had just gained. She found it attractive. "I..I.. you're adorable." She blurted out.
He chuckled, running a nervous hand through his hair. The light blush on his face was apparent. "That's a new one. I've never been called adorable." He flashed her a sheepish smile. "Glad you think so."
She returned his smile. He was blushing and she couldn't help but think it was even more cute. "How could I not?"
"I've been told I'm scary." He replied, leaning back in his seat as he finished off his drink. He had used it as a distraction and now that it was gone had no clue how to act around her. How did she put his defenses down like this?
"Well whoever has told you that are wrong. You're really sweet." Hope said, a small grin crossed her face. She felt like she could talk to him for hours and fall for him more and more.
"I'm happy you think so." He murmured. How long would she think that of him? It wouldn't be long. It never was long. "My bruises and cuts don't seem to bother you. That I'm also happy for."
"I believe scars help tell a story. If people don't have scars they never did anything with their lives." She replied. "Our lives are meant to have ups and downs. It's fate. Just like it's fate that we met."
Lighter flashed her bright grin. "Fate really wants us together, doesn't it." He cooed. "You're not afraid of me and I really do like you."
Hope blushed. "I believe it does. And I really like you too." She couldn't believe someone felt the same way about her as she did them.
Lighter tilted his head, suddenly shy. "Well, if the feeling is mutual, maybe we should get together." He blushed. No girl had been able to get him so worked up.
"I would like that very much." Hope smiled, a light blush spreading across her freckled face. She couldn't believe how happy he was making her feel already.
"Then, Hope, lets date." He leaned over to take her hand, brushing his lips against her knuckles in a gentle kiss. "You wouldn't mind being my girlfriend, would you?"
"Not at all." Hope replied, blushing as he kissed her hand. She'd been waiting her entire life to find a boy that was this romantic. All the romance movies made it seem so unrealistic, but she finally found the real deal.
Lighter beamed at her, a happy hum leaving his lips. “I’m glad I got to you first before a jock stole your heart away.” He told her with a teasing smile. “You’re too pretty to be with one of them.”
Hope giggled. "Those jocks would need to learn how to make a love potion first. They are not my type." She looked at him lovingly. "Dark and mysterious, totally my type."
“So I’m just your type.” He replied with a wink and a charming smile. “I’m dark and mysterious.” And secretive. “And you should know you’re my type. I love a confident, cute girl. And you’re both adorable and confident.”
"I'd add nerdy if you're talking about me." Hope added with a laugh. "I always can't seem to help but either read or write."
“Mm nerdy girls are so cute.” He replied, taking her hand and intertwining their fingers. “You drive me crazy too, however. I like that about you. You can get me to put my defenses down.”
