Emi limped into the auditorium of a local dancing center with a lot of her equipment curled up into wheely bags with a few speakers and amps she brought herself. She walked forward and looked around the decorations with a grin, bringing herself across the floor to her place of setup. She uncurled wires and quickly set up; she was kind of late for the start. But she somehow got prepared and a first song playing: "Killer Queen" by Queen.
Logan pulled Ace into the building, holding a bag filled with snacks and salt (you know why). "Come on Ace! Emi's already here!" He exclaimed with a childish grin, this was the first prom he had ever gone too.
Starr waited outside the door, leaning against the brick wall. Her top hat rested at an angle that shaded her eyes, leaving only the telltale sparkle of her brown eyes showing.
Not one for being early, Iris snuck in the door, looking around the room. It was quite empty, considering that only a few people were there so far. Noting Emi relaxing behind her set up, she let a small smile cross her features. At least there would be time to talk with her between songs. Right?
Justin was fronting. He walked up towards Starr with Sus in tow. "Hey, Starr! Brogle Squad aka Tax Fraud Squad date! I'm pumped as hell."
Sus follows behind Justin and Starr a bit awkwardly, he's never done this before.
Starr took her hat off and gave a flourishing bow. Rising, she said, "And a very happy un-birthday to you."
" Goddamn, Starr." Justin laughed. "Why you make no sense to me. Oh, yeah, it's Justin by the way."
Logan saw Justin and waved happily, his dramatic half cape that he had added on a whim fluttering behind him.
"Logan!" Justin called. "Good to see you!"
"I brought snacks!" He replied, waving around the bag. It was kinda obvious that he hasn't taken his meds today, but whatever.
"A very happy unbirthday to you, too!" she called to Logan.
"Indeediloucus!" He called back with a childish smile.
Emi plugged in her headphones to enjoy the songs as they boomed out of the speakers, leaning on the wall behind her setup with a yawn. She grinned at Iris as she spotted the latter, raising a hand in greeting and slipping off her phones.
"Hey Iris!"
Iris waved back, but not as energetically as Emi. She was quite the timid person when it came down to big events like this. Had she not been persuaded to come, she'd be at home, drawing or writing.
Logan pulled Ace into the building, holding a bag filled with snacks and salt (you know why). "Come on Ace! Emi's already here!" He exclaimed with a childish grin, this was the first prom he had ever gone too.
Ace chuckled at Logan's excitement and followed along with a permanent grin on their face. This isn't the first Prom they've been to, but the fun of the situation was always there, every time. "I wonder what playlist Emi has ready…" they mumbled under their breath as they followed Logan.
Camie stood in the corner of the room, being a quiet wallflower until her date ( @thighighcrocs-UwUs-are-snatched)showed up. She pulled out her phone and texted: Hey where r u?
(ay yo @alto1522)
"Sus, how are you?" Starr asked out of politeness. She wasn't the best at interacting, so she tried her best.
Shive walked into the place quietly and went towards the corner without interacting with anyone on the way there.
"I'm right here, babe." Sage called, looking up from their phone to wave at Camie. They made their way over, grinning. "S'up?"
Camie looked relieved. "Hey. Nice dress."
"Not as nice as yours." Sage countered, nudging Camie. "You look nervous."
Moxie entered the room, her eyes immediately darting for any sign of anyone she was comfortable enough to talk to. As she smoothed out the front of her dress she spotted Ace being dragged by Logan over to Emi. Perfect. She smiled as she walked over there, shaking her head at Logan.
Emi put on a toothy smile at the sight of her friends, leaning forward over the dark surface of the table holding up her computer and the wires connected to her iPod, the thing she was using for most of the playlist.
"Hey Logan, Ace, and Moxie! It's great to see you all here."
Hearing the name Ace, Iris perked up a tad. They were one of the first few good friends she had met on Notebook. She walked over towards where they were being tugged around and hugged Ace around their middle. "Good to see you," she said, offering a smile. Iris felt awkward in her dress, but it didn't matter at the moment. Friendship hugs were always good.
