"Hey!" Erin held her hands up. "I'm just trying to help, and it seems your group needs a lot of that right now. Why don't you come back to the hospital with me and we'll get you patched up."
Jessica twirled, the large coat nearly tripping her as it wrapped around her legs.
Molly glares over her shoulder at Erin.
What does this woman think she is???
She starts to walk away, making sure to not trip over dead bodies.
Erin sighed. "Well, fine, if you don't want me help I'll give it to someone who'll appreciate it." and she turned to walk the other direction. Once out of sight of Molly she looped around back toward the hospital, using it as an opportunity to scout around and make sure there were no other zombies skulking around.
Molly slowly walks, but turns before the hospital down another street. (Cue Looper and Thomas)
App gently grabbed Jessica's shoulders to keep her from tripping. "Woah there sweetie! We don't want to to trip and crack your head open! That wouldn't be good." She smiled as she untangled the coat from the girl's legs. "There we go you majesty!" She beamed and made a bow towards the child before shooting a grin at Clovis. Then she noticed his hair was mussed up. She reached over and started smoothing it with a focused look on her face. She grumbled a bit when a piece of hair insisted on staying stuck up.
Erin finally made her way back to the hospital and put her gun away in one of the concealed holsters on her person. She stood outside for several minutes, listening to the quiet. She couldn't relax, even though nothing seemed to be around. It was just too quiet. With a sigh she pushed the door open and entered the lobby.
Jessica stood in the middle of the room and flapped her arms, making the sleeves of the coat fly around her. "When is my mommy coming back? She's been gone for a long time."
Clovis tries to ignore App touching his hair and looks over to Jess.
"I don't know baby. I think she'll be back soon."
App stopped messing with Clovis' hair when when Jessica started flapping her arms and fidgeting, worried she'd trip or get caught on the long coat. She got this motherly expression on her face and kept reaching out as if to stop the girl, but changing her mind and puling back, while worrying, biting her lip.
The girl was still unconscious but everything else looked fine. Erin headed toward the hallway that lead to the room where Clovis had taken Jessica.
Jess heard her mother's footsteps and paused her swinging, listening for a moment to make sure. "That's my mommy!" she cried – quietly, aware of the dangers around her for her young age– and dashed to the doorway.
"Hey, sweetie." Erin said, seeing her daughter. "Everything's okay."
App startles a bit when Jessica starts running, but when she heard her cry "mother", she relaxed, a bit relieved. But she was a little sad. She stood up and walked away down the hallway, as if looking for something.
(I will be back, I'mma eatin')
Clovis stands, dusting himself off then following App. He peeks in on Jess and Erin while they pass by.
App didn't hear Clovis following her. She was suddenly lost in her memories, as she searched frantically, room to room, calling out, "Donovan? Donovan? Where are you? It's time for Echo."
Clovis follows, brow furrowed and a bit worried.
What on earth? She must be remembering something…
She looked inside a room, panicked. She saw a boy in the corner, lying in an odd angle with blood all around. She hurried over to the corner, crying out, "Donovan? DONVAN!?" She began shaking him. "Donovan, don't leave! Please! I-it's time f-for Echo! You like Echo! Echo is yummy, no?" Her face was streaming with tears as she shook him harder.
(For the record, the boy "Donovan" is only in her mind. He's not really there, so she interacting with thin air.)
(Yeah, I get it.)(Also, blood and dead people is okay, but lets not make this gorey :D)
Clovis follows behind her and cocks his head.
I'll remember that one. Donovan? I'll ask her later…
(Figured it was gorey enough. I wouldn't have brought it up if it wasn't relevant.)
App stopped shaking him and hung her head sobbing. She couldn't snap out of it. She rocked on her heels, shaking. "Donovan. Donovan. Donovan…"
(Yep :D Thanks Whisp.)(About how old is this kid that's dead? Just curious.)
Clovis bites his lip. He wanted to help her, but it would probably just be best if he let her slowly come out of it on her own.
(This memory is back from when she was about ten years old, so he's around that age.)
App's head snapped up suddenly, her sobbing ceasing. "I'm so sorry Donovan. I wish had done more." She fell over, coughing harshly. She looked around bleakly, jumping when she saw Clovis so close. "C-Clovis?" She coughed hard. "What- cough- are you doing here..?"
(okay)
Clovis squats down and gently rubs her back, looking worried.
"I was making sure you were okay."
(Lol, Clovis really gets her)
(I'm glad about that.)
App looks back at the corner, then looks away, avoiding Clovis' gaze. "Yeah. I'm fine. How long were you standing there..?" She coughs again, her head wracked with pain.
He sits down cross legged on the floor and stares into the empty corner.
"The whole time…" He quietly answers.
