Adrian looked behind him and saw the line getting longer and longer and the people in the front were taking their time. He decided to look on his phone and scroll through missed text messages from his son's school.
Flora burst into the coffee shop, panting heavily. Her haphazardly thrown on scrubs billowed behind her as she all but sprinted up to the counter. She’s stayed up way too late helping out at work, crashed when she got home, and woke up 15 minutes into her first shift. “Can I get an expresso!?” She asked, smoothing down her hair and rooting around for her wallet. Hopefully she hadn’t left it at home. Again.
"Want me to work the cash and you do drinks?" He asks, his ears going slightly red. Despite what you might think he didn't lush easily.
“Uh, yeah, sure,” he said. Oliver gestured to the girl. “I was just advising her on what drink to get, and what non-caffeinated drink to get.” He stepped back and let Bren take over.
(They could already be together? Idk whatever you feel)
(I feel like it'd be interesting if they weren't cause I feel like Carolyn secretly would feel like no one would like her like that, so it'd be an interesting relationship)
(I'm confused by your wording.)
(Sorry. Uhh like Carolyn loves to put people together but has trouble with her own relationships cause she had a hard time believing people would like her, even when she acts confident)
"Okay, so!" Bren turned to the girl. "Are you just looking for drinks? We also have amazing food, but I may e a bit biased considering that I'm the head baker." he laughed.
Oliver rushes over to Carolyn. “Hey can you open a second register?” he asked. “What are you staring at?”
“That girl,” she said, subtly pointing at the girl who had just loudly exclaimed how good the coffee was. “I want to set her up with someone. She looks single.”
“Oh Car,” he sighed. “Can you worry about this later? We’ve got a line of people who need their coffee.”
“Yeah, okay I’m going,” she said and smiled at the girl in scrubs. “Espresso?” she asked. “Just one?”
(Sorry, I'm late! Is it okay if I jump in?)
(Yeah no don’t worry about it you’re good)
(Also I’m not sure how active I’ll be able to be for the next few hours, just a warning)
Ash drained her coffee quickly and realized she was really hungry. She got up and got in line again.
"Yes, please. Can you make it fast? I overslept." Flora patted her pants until she found her wallet, yanking it out with no small amount of relief. She noticed a blood stain on the corner of her shirt and mentally groaned. She'd washed these two days ago and they were already stained. A cherry on top of this wonderful day.
“Yup, no problem babe. Oliver! An espresso stat!”
“You could have at least said please,” he mumbled, but quickly started preparing it.
Carolyn smiled at the woman. “Want something quick to eat hon?”

(Flora, sorry)
(No prob just wondering)
“No! I’ve really got to go. My boss is already going to murder me. And my parter. Oh god, I hope Carrie isn’t covering my shift.” She blurted, tiredness stopping her from limiting her speech. She racked on a sheepish “sorry for talking so much.”
Paris stood stood in line and waited. she looked around at all the people and smiled. the cafe had become her second home. she loved it here. her back pack purse strapped to her back, a book and all the other nessesities. she planned on reading for a little bit and probably talking to Carolyn and Oliver.
(I have to go. I’ll try to get back on later but I might be a while.)
Bren finished with a customer and saw Paris. "What can I get for you Paris?" He asks, happy to see a friendly face, the earlier customer had been very rude.

"Don't worry about it." Oliver handed her the espresso and Carolyn passed it to the girl. "If you stop by after your shift, you can try a pastry, on the house. If you have time, of course." She tapped the register. "That'll be $1.95."
(idk how much coffee costs, sorry)
"Hey Bren! my usual Latte please" She said stepping up to the counter. "I didnt realize you were here today"
"Yup! I had yesterday off so I'm here today." He said, making the latte. "How have you been?"
"Thanks," Flora said, throwing a 20 onto the counter and rushing out the door. She was totally cashing in on that pastry later. She could use it after a tiring shift. She really liked her job but if she had to give one more wrinkly old man a sponge bath she was going to snap. Of course, the odds that she would be getting a fun assignment were plummeting the longer she stayed out of the hospital.
"Good. Dont have to deal with demanding customers and bratty girls today so fantastic" She said, leaning on the counter.
Carolyn smiled, put the money away and smiled at the girl who had her headphones in earlier. “Hi hon, how are you doing this morning?”
"Lucky, I had this one girl think that just because I worked at a cafe, which she thought was a Starbucks, I would give her my number." He shakes his head, handing her the latte. "I just looked at her and said 'I'm Gay and taken.' she looked so embarrassed."
“Good thanks. Just looking for something to eat..” She scanned the range of pastries and such.

"Alright, one vanilla latte then. Sorry for taking so long, just zoned out," Mikel laughed, tucking her short hair behind her ear. "That'll be all, thanks." (sorry i was at debate lol)
