"Me too. I feel like I've know you for forever." Eve looked down again to hide the blush creeping up her cheeks again.

"Maybe we're meant to be together..like soulmates."

"Maybe. That wouldn't be so bad." She looked up at Kai with a shy smile

"Maybe it wouldn't be.." He gazed at her, his face flushed a little.

Eve's smile grew at how flushed his face was too. She realized he was just as nervous as she was.

"What?" He asked, hiding his face a little.

"Uh…no-nothing." She stuttered a little, ducking her head again. Oh gosh, he's so cute. I think I'm really falling for him… She thought to herself, blushing harder.

He chuckled a little at her blushing, he himself doing the same. "Whatever you say.."

Eve began to fidget nervously, feeling like she was going to embarrass herself at some point tonight, especially after what Kai said about them being possible soulmates.

He watched her, frowning a bit. “You okay?”

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine." She smiled at him in reassurance.

“Okay.” He laughed a little. “I’m paying for dinner by the way.” He insisted.

"No! I won't let you do that! We can at least split the cost!" Eve insisted, knowing she'd feel bad for making him pay for dinner.

"If you insist. I'm won't fight with you i'm broke like everyday." He laughed.

"Alright, deal." Eve agreed, feeling better about it now.

Kai pulled out his wallet, paid for half the meal, and waited for the waiter to come back.

Eve pulled out her wallet as well and paid for the other half of the meal. "So where do you work?"

"The music shop a couple blocks from campus. How bout you?"

"I work at the cafe down the street from here. What do you do there? Do you ever get to play the instruments?" Eve asked, interested in hearing more about the music shop.

"Sometimes. He let's me stay after hours and mess around. You should come over there sometime."

"I just might have to. I'm looking for a new drum set anyways and that'd give me a reason to see you."

“Yeah it would. They’ve got one drum set I think you would like.”

"Well now I definitely want to!" Eve got really excited and bounced a little in her chair.

“Woah there.” He laughed, mimicking her bouncing.

"What? I'm excited! Don't judge me!" She stuck her tongue out at him playfully and continued to bounce in her seat.
