They finished their food and said goodbye. Kai was getting tired of it. It's like they weren't even dating. Just meeting up a couple times a week.
After practice, Eve reluctantly said goodbye and grabbed her drum sticks, leaving the rest of her drum kit for the next time they'd practice. She began her walk back to her dorm, pulling her jacket closed as the sun set and the night got chillier.
Kai wrapped his scarf around his neck and started walking back to the dorms. He noticed the girl he had run into on the opposite side of the street but didn't say anything.
Eve huddled into her jacket, pulling the hood up over her head and shoving her hands into her pockets. She looked across the street to see the boy she had collided with earlier, but she quickly looked down, embarrassed about before.
Kai knew he had to cross the street sometime to get to the dorms. Why not get it over with now He sighed and crossed the street, right behind Eve.
Eve heard someone walking behind her, but she kept her head down and her hands in her pockets, walking a little faster in an attempt to escape the cold.
Goddammit she's avoiding me. He thought, a little angry at himself.
Eve got to a crosswalk and gained enough courage to look up and around at where she was at. Not seeing the boy from earlier, she sighed, disappointed but also relieved to not have to worry about embarrassing herself again. She didn't realize that he had been behind her, she didn't think to look back until he had caught up with her.
He glanced next to him at Eve. "Hey.."
"Oh, hey. I'm sorry I didn't see you there." She blushed and looked down, still embarrassed about what happened before. "How's your girlfriend?"
Kai laughed a little and looked down. "Okay I guess."
Eve giggled, "You guess?"
"It's complicated, I won't bore you with my relationship problems." He said smiling down.
"That's okay. I don't mind. Sometimes you just need someone to talk to." Eve smiled back at him.
"Well its just, It's not like she's even my girlfriend anymore. I barely see her."
"Oh, I'm sorry. That sounds awful." Her smile dropped and she reached out to touch his arm as though that would comfort him.
He glanced down at her hand. "I-I gotta go." He muttered, walking across the street towards the dorms.
Once she realized what she was doing, she quickly pulled her hand away as he walked across the street and away from her. For a second she just stood there in shock of her mistake, before continuing on her way to her dorm.
Kai shook his head and went up to his dorm.
She kept walking, past his dorm building and onto the next building and up the stairs to her dorm. She greeted her roommate and flopped down onto her bed.
(time skip to morning or no?)
(sorry, I didn't mean to just leave. Yeah we can time skip, that would be a good idea :) )
(its okay yeah)
Kai rolled out of bed and got dressed. He went down and started walking to his first class, yawning on the way.
Eve rushed around her dorm, realizing she was late to her first class. She grabbed her notebook, textbook, pencils, and drum sticks and shoved them all her bag before throwing on a sweatshirt and grabbing her keys. She went downstairs and began her walk to her class.
Kai noticed Eve walking to class and waved a little, walking towards her.
