“I’ve got it,” Anya said, standing up too. “If you wouldn’t mind… getting the ibuprofen?”
“I’ve got it,” Anya said, standing up too. “If you wouldn’t mind… getting the ibuprofen?”
//ur good
(This movie is so cute.)
Spencer nodded. "Yeah, it's actually in a cupboard in the kitchen," he said. "I can help you get down the stairs, if you need me to."
//XD
“Nah, it’s okay…. thanks, though,” Anya said, smiling slightly. “I just need… time to heal, I guess. Coffee… coffee is the first step.”
"Ah, yes. Coffee, the magical remedy to all infirmities!" Spencer exclaimed with a light laugh.
“Exactly,” Anya agreed with a smile.
(Ian DC is such a good actor.)
"C'mon. Let's get you downstairs," Spencer said, smiling back at Anya.
//IKR
“I can do it… myself,” Anya insisted.
Spencer shrugged and moved out of her way. He gestured flourishingly to the door.
"As you wish," he said with a smirk. "After you."
(THE PRINCESS BRIDE)
(THE PRINCESS BRIDE)
(Yessssssss!)
//falls down a hill and dramatically yells aaaaaasssss yyyyoooouuuuu wwwwwwiiiissssshhhhhhhhhh
“Isn’t that from… some movie? Something… about a princess… or something,” Anya said thoughtfully, walking carefully over to the door.
(I love that movie…)
//saaaammmeeee

“Isn’t that from… some movie? Something… about a princess… or something,” Anya said thoughtfully, walking carefully over to the door.
(Lol. XD)
Spencer laughed awkwardly. "It might be," he replied with a smile.
“The Princess… something,” Anya said, waiting for Spencer in the hall. “Something… hopelessly romantic….” A small smile was playing across her lips.
"Yeah, yeah. The Princess Bride. I'm a sucker for things like that, okay? It's comedy gold," Spencer said, rolling his eyes as he followed Anya out.
“Gotcha,” Anya nodded, walking alongside him. “So… if you had the… the option between… action-spy-drama and… say, joining a circus…. which one would.. you take?”
"I'd do take this over the circus any day," Spencer replied, suddenly becoming serious.
Anya’s expression turned thoughtful. “Why? I mean… dont get me wrong, this…” she gestured vaguely around “… this is great…. but sometimes, I wish… I wish that I hadn’t taken it.”
Spencer's jaw clenched and he looked away from Anya.
"I… have my reasons," he replied vaguely.
“Mmmm,” Anya said, walking slightly faster as they got closer to the kitchen. “You know, I almost…. dropped it, the whole spy… thing. Facade, I guess…. I almost just… left. Never could.” She cleared her throat. “They say we’re brave. That…. that we’re heroes. I…. I don’t believe that. Never… never once, have I made… a real decision… one that helped me. Always…. ‘finish the mission’… ‘save the cargo’… never once ‘save yourself’…. you know?” She took a deep breath. “Sorry, that was long.”
Spencer glanced back over at Anya, a small smile flicking across his lips.
"I totally get that," he said, nodding slowly. "I mean, to be brutally honest, I'm only here for completely selfish reasons."
“Lucky,” Anya sighed, automatically pouring herself a full cup of coffee from the machine. “I think… I’ve only been selfish… twice, maybe. I watched-“ she flushed “-The Princess Bride… instead of tracing down… a cold lead… that they wanted… me to trace. The second time…. ugh, I can’t remember.” She offered a coffee cup to Spencer.
"You watched The Princess Bride… instead of doing your job?" Spencer mused, laughter tinting his voice. "Okay, I haven't done anything selfish like that in a while. I just meant that the reason I'm here at all is pretty selfish."
“But that’s a huge decision,” Anya said, drinking about half her coffee in one sip. “You just chose to… do something. By yourself. No… ‘that’s an order’ or… or anything.”
Spencer shrugged. "If that's what gets me what I need, then I'm willing to do it," he said, leaning against the counter.
Anya sighed, abruptly changing the subject. “Coffee is brilliant.”
Spencer raised an eyebrow but didn't comment on the change of subject. He nodded slowly, picking up the mug he had left on the counter earlier and taking a sip of the (somehow) still warm coffee.
"That it is," he agreed from behind his cup.
//lol
“I feel better already,” Anya said cheerfully, forcing a smile onto her face. “You know, I think I could get the meds myself. You can go rest.”
