Elias couldn't help but give a pitiful laugh as he opened his eyes when he sensed Ollie had gotten closer. It took every nerve in him not to automatically stiffen again, still unused to the house being occupied by so many people, and maybe he still was a little untrusting of Ollie. He still couldn't entirely rule out that Ollie wasn't following directions from Ainsley just for the money. "Oh, I'm definitely desperate. Just not for the right reason I guess." He shrugged, gently tugging his hand away as Gio playfully nipped at his hand. "Careful, he's a vicious one," Elias warned teasingly, depositing Gio into Ollie's awaiting hands. Elias shook his head slightly, "I wish it were that easy. Ainsley isn't the forgive and forget type but you don't have to give an excuse. A month without results should give Ainsley the hint we're not interested in a kid or whatever he has planned for our future. If it doesn't then we come up with something else. In the meantime, you're free to stay here if you'd still like. Ainsley won't bother us for a while." He scrubbed a hand over his tired face and slowly stood.
"I'm Elias, I wish we could have met under better circumstances, Ollie. You seem like a very nice person." He offered a half smile and gestured towards the kitchen. "Feel free to make yourselves comfortable. I'm sorry if this isn't the cleanest place ever. I just got back from a work trip. But please, I have food in the fridge and snacks in the pantry." He offered, wheeling his suitcases from the front entrance towards the stairs that lead to the upstairs bedrooms. He flicked on some lights. "You mentioned work and this, Liv? Is she your manager?" He asked curiously as he wandered back to the kitchen to make Gio's food. "Where do you work, if you don't mind me asking? It must be somewhere nice if you have security, and Ainsley is willing to leave Ray there." He frowned slightly, worry over his friend ebbing away in his mind. Ray had been his friend for a long time, since high school. He was too good and too kind to be chosen as Ainsley's beta. Sometimes Elias wished he had taken becoming an alpha more seriously if only to get Ray away from Ainsley. "Your Liv sounds like a lovely person. I hope to meet her one day."
Ollie sighed and followed Elias into the kitchen, holding the kitten and gently loving it. Small kisses to the head and scratches behind the ear. " I'm.. " he halted thinking about the best way to put it.
" I'm a body for hire, if you will." he said softly, letting the kitten run to its food bowl. " liv is like a mother to me, she cares for omegas that didn't find an alpha in time and puts them in one of the best places to mean money and at the end of the night she opens her doors to us and houses us. Ray will be perfectly fine there as long as Ainsley doesn't fuck up. And if he does, I'm sure liv will take it out on him rather than Ray. "
Ollie seemed somewhat uncomfortable in the home, always looking over his shoulder at his bodyguard or counting how many exits were where. Ainsley had definitely left a sour taste and he couldn't be much more sure about this one either. "so, where do you work?" he asked softly, watching his tone in a house that wasn't his own was a rule ingrained into his head, not by liv but by unruly customers.
Elias slowly nodded as realization dawned on him where he vaguely recognized the scent from. "I see, that explains Ainsley's earlier comments." He muttered softly, gently stroking Gio's head as he practically inhaled his little food Elias had just set down moments ago. "Then Ray is in good hands. The poor thing must be a mess right now if he's given even an ounce of her attention." Knowing Ray was going to be fine however long he was at the club was a relief to one of many worries he had. "I hope we can meet then, if she deems me worthy even of that. I understand if trust is slim in this situation. In the end I am the alpha you're being paid to have a relationship with. In no way do I expect anything from you." He reassured, placing Gio's empty bowl in the sink.
He leaned against the counter, wanting to give Ollie and his security the most room to feel as comfortable as they could. "I work in publishing as a consultant. I edit the final drafts and meet imwirh authors before they sent their final drafts to the agency." He explained unnabke to keep an excited from reaching his lips as he lips as he talked about his job. It was rare when someone could be genuinely happy with the career they chose but Elias was one of the few who felt genuine happiness and pride of what he did, one of the few things he could consider an accomplishment in his life.
Ollie smiled softly, almost getting lost in the words the older man said. His brain trying to focus on so many things at once and the stress of the night, and otherwise activity, leaving Ollie with his head on the counter he was as his eyes closed slowly. It was so rare for Ollie to fall asleep in someone's house, let alone with a stranger in the room, but Elias made it so easy. And his guard fell so easily for a man who clearly had no bad intentions.
But that was a little short-lived as ollies body jerked him awake, sliding halfway down the island he was leaning on ( for story's sake there's an island there, tryna bring em a little closer withana eepy hooker lol) he looked around for a moment before remembering where the talk was going " so do they read you their books or do you just steal em a publish them?" he asked
(There is absolutely an island in the middle of Elias's kitchen for plot's sake of course)
Elias had his back to Ollie and Brams, taking a moment to clean the little bowl. "I've always wanted to go into publishing. Reading is so fascinating, at least to me. But the publishing world is somewhat of a scam, at last to small authors who can't gain traction. I wanted to help them more than I wanted to make money off of attaching my name to a big-shot author with millions of other books that are the same and most likely problematic." He dried his hands on a side towel taking care to drape it neatly over the stove handle, and glancing over at Ollie, unable to hide a laugh that escaped him when he saw Ollie jerk himself awake. "We should probably get you home. It's been a long day for both of us. If you ever need a place to stay, there'll be a room for you here." He promised softly, glancing up when Brams came closer to the kitchen island, still cautious. "The alpha said three hours." He reminded, slight worry crossing the beta's features.
Elias shrugged. "He's not here. If Ainsly has a problem with me taking care of the omega who supposedly is going to bear my children, he should have thought of that before he dropped one off at my doorstep." He pointed out with a knowing little grin. If Ainsley wanted to play games with a life that wasn't his own, Elias would play along for now but Ollie would be cared for and protected regardless. He supposed that was the alpha in him talking, but he genuinely cared for Ollie's safety and wellbeing, simply because Ainsly had unknowingly and unwillingly into this mess.
Elias glanced back at Ollie, debating whether to be offended or intrigued. "We don't steal their work." He clarified, flinching at the slight firmness in his time. Ok maybe a little offended. "We help small authors get the recognition they deserve for their hard work. If we could publish for free or not take revenue from the book of course we would but that's not how a business runs effectively. We're not like the other publishing companies and we're relatively small but I think that we do our new authors more than justice getting their work out into the right hands, people who actually care and want to support the authors they read from." He stated, a bit pridefully but Elias genuinely loved his job and couldn't think of an instance where he felt he was doing something wrong to the authors he helped.
"Let's get you back to Liv, yeah? I'm sure she's worried and I have to unpack from the trip." He offered gently, grabbing his keys from the front entrance as well as the spare key Ainsley had dropped off.
Ollie followed, a soft yawn coming from him as he did so. " man you seem way to important compared to me." He said softly. The smaller boy heard the keys gigle and had let it catch his attenion quickly. Hed always been fond of soft gingles and bell sounds. Maybe he had a touch of the tism, maybe not. But the man infront of him had something along those lines. Ollie had paid attention to the sound of him talking and even the schedual he had on the wall, down to the last few minutes of his day..
Hed have his work cut out for him, staying with this person and making it work, but this was a fun added challenge. After all, ainsley said hed be with this man 24/7..(just got done moving anf no wifi yet, my replies may be sparce and sometimes short but they will be here!)
(no worries at all, I hope the move went well!)
Elias shook his head "I'm really not. I just happen to be an alpha who managed to get distracted by books and find a job that seemed worthy enough to Ainsley to leave me alone, at least until now." He shrugged ona jacket, the afternoon having gotten colder since he had arrived. He unlocked his car and moved a few things around to make room for Ollie and Brams. After moving a few backs of books and book publishing merch inside, he lead the two to the car and help open the door. "What about you? Ainsley wouldn't just go for any omega to conceive a child for the pack. You must have caught his attention somehow before he offered you the deal." He asked, though Elias could ready guess why the omega had been Ainsley's first and probably only choice. Even in his line of work Elias had heard of the performer. His co-workers would talk about their nights out and even the other members Elias was close to would praise Ollie's assets. Elias would usually tune out after that, since it hadn't really interested him what his fellow pack mates did in their private time with a stranger. But from what he could gather, Ollie was good, really good. Why Ainsley thought he if all memebers would benefit the most from being with Ollie was beyong Elias's comprehension was beyond him. He'd wager any of the other alpha's would have a better shot at making children with Ollie than him, and probably ten times faster given they had Ainsley's go ahead. But it wasn't them who Ainsley wanted as alpha, not that Elias wanted to be alpha of a pack this big in the first place but he didn't really get much of choice.
"I'm sure you've heard of my reputation. I'm not exactly unknown," he said softly, picking at his hands. " Ainsley made it clear in the living room too, but honestly it's not what I wanted to do…I wanted to be the type of person to take care of the reptiles. Large snakes and lizards, teenie tiny spiders.." he rambled, (their relationship kinda reminds me of the song, lonestly girl in the World by Noah Florsch) Ollie thought about what he could have become if it wasn't for being an omega maybe if he was born an alpha he wouldn't have been thrown on the streets so early. or maybe he would have, he didn't think his parents wanted a kid to begin with… now look at him, stuck in the same damn situation his mother was in. the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Ollie watched as the building came into view, he grimaced to see the men pilling up as the night came on. He was tied but his work only stopped when the sun came up and money was important to the cause that he was saving for. A home that he could fill with all the things he loved and maybe even a child, if he ever found the right person and stayed at the right time. Having children was not only hard on omegas but even harder for the males. C-sections were never easy, but for a boy, they were dangerous and severely expensive without insurance, It is why his birthing prices were so high, and because Ollie was told he didn't have very many shots at it before they'd have to sterilize him or risk it killing him on the first try. ollie realized early on that his dreams needed to be on the back burner for now. He had a mission and that was to satisfy this alpha and the group he ran with. and hopefully liv could convince the little man left there to escape that horrible alpha and find a better one for himself. There were plenty of fish in the sea and he happened to pick the only gar in the seven nations.
(I love that song and yes it does!)
Elias nodded slowly "I have," He admitted softly as a blush crept up to his cheeks, tinging them ever so slightly pink. "Mostly through co-workers and pack members. They like to talk about body count which is usually where I lose any interest." He explained with a slight shrug, glancing over at Ollie for a moment, his interest piqued at the mention of lizards and spiders. He wasn't sure how he'd handle being around so many at a time, usually, the most he interacted with the little creatures was when he had to get spiders out of his house, fearing Gio would try to eat them. Even then he'd have to build up his confidence enough to catch the little guy and carefully transport him outside, always keeping the designated spider-catching cup and a roll of paper towels by the storage closet. For all his caution around the creatures, they still fascinated Elias, even earning them their section on his bookshelf for when he lapsed back into the interest.
"Why can't you?" he asked naively. Fundamentally, Elias knew why. Omegas already had a hard time in society without the support of an alpha, a concept Elias found wildly baffling, but somehow, they still worked on their own accord. He also somewhat could piece together that Ollie's work situation wouldn't be ideal to bring up as his only experience when wanting to apply elsewhere but Elias hoped Ollie wouldn't stay forever in his current situation, regardless of their situation. He parked somewhat close to the entrance, trying to avoid getting too close to the crowd. He glanced over at Ollie for a moment, sensing the omega had a lot on his mind, having fallen silent while Elias had been in his head. "I'm sorry." He said softly, "For Ainsley and for being the reason you were dragged into all this in the first place. We'll figure something out, I hope. It won't be what Ainsley expects, but I hope it can work for us, at least until we can get you somehow off of Ainsley's radar and safe." He offered what he wasn't sure, it wasn't a promise or even necessarily much hope, but Elias wasn't sure if he could offer any better. "Do you mind if I come with you? I need to find Ray anyway, and I'd still like to meet your Liv if that's ok?" He asked, glancing in the rearview mirror as Brams got out of the car and opened Ollie's door. Maybe it was the alpha in him, maybe it was just who Elias was regardless, a small part of him didn't want to let Ollie go into the club. Not for any selfish reason of his own, he had no claim over the omega, nor did he ever want to but seeing all the other men standing outside, waiting hungrily to be let in and savor whatever was offered inside, most likely expecting Ollie, made Elias sick. He slowly got out of his car, trying his best not to make eye contact with the patrons who looked his way. He'd be in and out with Ray by his side soon. Ollie could handle himself, as much as it knawed at Elias in a way that didn't entirely make sense. Just because he could didn't he should have to.
Ollie chuckled softly seeing the man's cheeks fluster, but what caught him off guard was the only alpha who did see him as just a body 'they like to talk about body count, which is where I lose interest.'. Those words meant so much to Ollie and he didn't even know it. His wide eyes moved to stare at his feet, his mind racing. He couldn't do this for the money, part of Ollie actually felt like this random alpha could be someone to him… Maybe even the one for him. It made his whole body tingle, color bombs popping like warm drops in a shower.
" you must be the lonest man in the world." He whispered,
ollies thoughts raced until the question was asked, "I'm an omega.. I'm nothing more than a body and I don't exactly make enough to outright afford a down deposit on an apartment, let alone enough for a house.. " he said, lifting his head to see the car slowly stop right before the doors. He sighed, taking a deep breath before responding to the apology. " you didn't want this, there's no need for you to apologize. I'm more mad at the other man. He needs a lesson of respect beat into him. Not the fun way." He chuckled, his joke coming out a little too hostile. He didn't want to be blamed for a murder case if the damn man came up missing from Liv.
"I'll try my best to be a good companion, if it's not to your liking I'll give a refund." He said softly, it was trained into him at this point. Covering up the pain with humor was what Ollie could do, something he had learned to do. Fuck the tears and put on the smile. Men like it when the omega whimpers anyway, might as well make a show from it.
As the bigger man opened his door Ollie put up the mask, his eyes going almost numb as he put on a show for his adoringly sick fans. The men all tripped a step as the boy came out, "I'm sure Liv would be delighted to meet you." He said softly and readily walked into the building with Elias and Bram at both sides. Ollie noticed Elias's tence stance "I'll be fine hun, I've been doing this for years now, i can handle a man in more ways than one, and Liv and Bram handle them in others. It's my job.." He said, the end of his sentence had hints of disgust but it was quickly packed away with another smile and a wave to the mass.
(sorry if its super long my ass is in writer mode lol)
Something , actually all of Ollie's response left and acrid taste in Elias' mouth. He wanted to argue, more than that he wanted fight the very meaning of the statement. "Nothing more than a body." As if that initself did't deserve respect, and love, and to be cherished. Ollie was an entire person and from what Elias could gather, a very nice one. One who didn't deserve to work as a body for hire for some pathetic pack members to use and toss aside for the next time they wanted a fun time, who had a loving mother, who had dreams of researching lizards and spiders, who cared for a kitten the moment it was placed in it's hands, regardless of where it had come from and loved it completely. Who had come to an arguably more pathetic alpha than the rest hoping he'd be better on the mere promise he'd have better life than the one he lived. The very least Ollie deserved was an apology. "Be yourself as much as you'd like, Ollie. If I ever have a problem with you, I can deal with it." He promised, glaring as the other alpha's turned their attention towards Ollie. He hated the way they all unabashadly stared, hated the way Ollie's bright blue eyes which he definately wasn't captivated by everytime Ollie gave him any attention, went dull with practiced disinterest, though he did find some sick pleasure in the way they straightened slightly when they saw him. As much as Elias didn't want to be Ainsley's choice of next Alpha, it did come with a few perks. "I have no doubt you can but it doesn't mean you deserve to." Elias muttered in reply, keeping close to Ollie as the omega led the way into the club. Elias was used to and most comfortable in libraries or at his favorite cafe. Not sex clubs full of half drunk, half hard men looking for a good time with anything that looked their way. But Ollie to his credit looked completely at home, more than that he demanded the space and attention of anyone in it with just a well placed touch and smile, something Elias, even as alpha, had never really done. It was impressive regardless of the space they were in and for a moment Elias became the people around him, in awe and admiration of the beautiful omega, minus the wanting to fuck his brains out part. He only tore his gaze away when a woman came up to them and immediately enveloped her arms around Ollie, snapping and shooting away the men who had crowded Ollie a moment ago. She was older than Elias, he guessed mid forties, sophisticated but strong at the same time, good for keeping even the horniest of alpha's in check and entirely Ray's type. Elias was immensely relieved when he saw Ray, unharmed and more importantly, blushing the reddest Elias had ever seen him, and a little tipsy. When Ray saw him, the beta sidled up to Elias, gently touching his arm in greeting and reassurance, a silent promise they'd talk later.
"So you're the one taking my baby?" Liv asked, slight bite in her voice as she turned her full attention to Elias. "I'm not taking Ollie." Elias replied as a few heads turned in their direction. Elias could smell the sudden shift in the air, the room tinging with hostility and undeserved possessiveness. Elias kept his composure and offered a soft smile to Liv, hoping to appease her. "He's under my protection and care for now until we find a loophole in Ainsley's plan. He owes me nothing." Elias continued, noting the sneer on Liv's features, clearly unconvinced which was fair. "Sure." And with that and a little wave to Rat, Liv held Ollie close and waved the pair away, clearly that was their dismissal. Elias gave Brams his number for Ollie before he and Ray left the club and got in Elias' car. "So you like them feisty?" Elias asked with a grin as he settled into the driver seat. Ray whined and sunk into the passenger side. "Shut up El, you have a type too." The beta arched a challenging eyebrow at his companion but pushed no further as Elias pulled out of the parking lot.
( I love the detail!)
Ollie smiled softly at how close Elias stayed, honestly debating on settling into his arm, not for show but for comfort. That man seemed like the warmest person on the earth, and he's touched a few.
Ollie let out the faintest laugh when Liv hugged him, his smaller body melting into her touch and safety. " hi momma," he said softly, squeezing the hardest he could. While Elias was an.. experience his club mother would always hold a deeper spot in his heart.
Ollie froze at the moment when Elias said something so fucking stupid he could have almost slapped him. " that was almost a line crossed there buckaroo, " he said, looking up at the alpha. " might wanna put your sentences together a little better when talking to a woman who could make you disappear over her kids. that was a hella insult among our community." he warned. However, the alpha was quick to fix statement. "I'll be staying with the alpha but we're gonna try a loop. Come to find out my little deal with Ainsley for the alpha was completely unconsented by either party. Mean Elias here had an unwanted surprise for him tonight, me, and your buddy Ainsley is an absolute dickhead with zero respect for our work. Not only is he not gonna be allowed to do business here nor touch any of the models but he may also not get the pup he was looking for. Content is one if not the biggest rule here and he very much failed to ask. " Ollie explained, a very angry look spreading across his face. It only now did Ollie show just how much Ainsley piss him off. a look that was erierly scary for an omega to have.
Ollie wasn't going to pussy foot around when he had an entire club full of men who would all go to jail for him. A man like that would last a day in Ollie's shoes and yet the alpha still had the balls to insult him in a home that wasn't even his own. However, the smaller ones had a plan. Any money Ollie got went to bettering the plan with him and Elias, he was planning to royally fuck over the other alpha and make him think twice before being a little bitch with privages that 'protected' him. Ollie would be a dumb motherfucker to let a man like that get off scot-free. Maybe he should wait, let the man get under his sheets, post the videos online.. or send them to his work. Ollie could definitely make a man like that want to be dominated, and it was very clear he had mommy issues with the way he acted around them. His pride was fragile. (not Ollie wanting to be a fucking menace)
(I can sense the angst already)
"So what's your plan with one of the most famous omega body hires of the territory, oh great alpha?" Ray asked, earning him a sitting glare from Elias though no real threat was behind it. "Nothing." He replied, rolling down a window to let the stench of the club and alcohol leave the car. Ray choked on air and stared at Elias, for a moment searching for the right words that wouldn't leave him to hitchhike on the side of the road. He smartly kept his mouth shut. At least for a few minutes. "What about Ainsley? He'll want results. He'll sense you two aren't physically together. He expects a kid in two years but you'll know he'll want to see claim marks or whatever fucking evidence of a physical relationship between you two sooner." Elias visibly cringed at the thought, not necessarily of sex though he couldn't say he had much experience. But claiming someone as a mate he barely knew felt so utterly wrong to him. "We'll figure something out. I don't think even Ainsley expects two strangers to fuck the first week they were forced to meet. And if he does then I think he needs to re-evaluate his ethics before forcing us to conceive a child." Elias growled softly, for once that night actually letting his anger show. He wasn't one to do that often, losing his temper was the behavior of a weak alpha, one who couldn't make sound decisions because they would be clouded over by emotion. But damn it all if he wasn't allowed to be mad at the situation. Neither he nor Ollie deserved this. Elias liked to think Ollie was a good person, but honestly, he couldn't care about the omega because he didn't know him. Elias didn't know if the boy in his living room who fell asleep in a random stranger's kitchen was the real Ollie or if the real Ollie was the one that switch off all emotions and looked at every alpha in a room like they were ATMs waiting to be drained. Elias didn't know if he wanted to find out, it'd be easier if he didn't feel anything towards Ollie but he couldn't get the image of him dosing off out of his head or the way he had kissed Gio's head so tenderly. He sighed softly, almost positive all he was to the omega was a pathetic alpha who apparently needed an elder to control his sex life. "You think Ollie will let you come back if he knows you're into the woman that he considers a mother figure?" He asked absentmindedly. Ray's problem seemed easier to manage than whatever he was going through and it was nice seeing his friend blush.
"Oh my gods El, I said drop it! We didn't do anything. Just talked. She wanted to make sure Ollie was safe so I told her about you and that he wouldn't be harmed. That's all." Elias didn't believe him but he did appreciate how his friend defended him. "Thanks, Ray." He muttered.
Ray shrugged slightly, a grin crossing his features. "Though I do see where Ollie gets his spitfire from. He looked half ready to rip off your head, and not in the fun way." That managed a slight laugh out of Elias as he pulled into his driveway. "I'd like to see him try. I hadn't meant to insult any of them." He assured with a shrug as the two got out. "You can stay in the spare if you're still too drunk." He offered, pointing back towards his house to which Ray waved him off. "I'll be fine walking back," H reassured, half hugging Elias before starting back towards his home. Elias sighed softly at his friend's stubbornness before heading inside to start unpacking and moving his stuff from the master bedroom to the spare room.
Ollie packed as well after his grueling shift was over. Three am was the worst and the painmeds couldn't kick in fast enough. He pondered what the other alpha thought of him. he truly hoped he left a good impression. Other than snapping on Elias he had tried to make the best of the shitty situation. Plus Ollie didn't stop thinking about the little kitten all night and had even gone out to the 24-hour convenience store to buy a bunch of kitten things like toys wet treats and hard treats as well as a little bandana and a couple of rope toys.
His brain ached as he tried to handle the feeling of leaving somewhere he called home for years. He was terrified and scared. But he had to keep his hand in the deal until he and the other alpha found a way to trick the others and let Ollie go. he honestly thought about feining infertility, which was a death sentence to most omegas. Especially in the government's eyes. A useless omega was just trash that needed to be taken out. But if it got Elias out of this situation he didn't care.. that man was amazing and deserves quite a bit better than Oliie.
Though hed never sees it that way. He was sure Elias would give the clothes off his body and walk around naked before letting a kid or an adult go without.
Ollie felt his face flush the more and more he thought about Eliass. Someone he barely knew making him feel so damn tongue-tied. Hee was never like this. he dealt with over 100 men a night and yet he was tripped faster for this man harder than an egul fell when in a love lock.
By midnight, Elias had unpacked all his things from his business trip, neatly folding clothes into their new place in the dressers of the guest bedroom and putting arcs and drafts he had obtained in a neat pile on a desk he had in the corner, decorated by artwork his co-workers had gifted him and some choice antiques he had liked from a thrift store he had discovered years back. Unpacking from work had been the easy part, but now came the more tedious task of moving all his belongings from the master bedroom to the spare, stripping the bed of his sheets, and pulling all the clothes out from the closet. As much as Elias hated change, especially something so spontaneous, he wanted Ollie to feel as comfortable as possible if he chose to stay at his house, no matter for how long, and out of the two bedrooms, Elias had indulged a bit more in the master bedroom and had bought a comfortable mattress, one with memory foam that enveloped you every place needed for the best sleep possible. If there was one thing he couldn't get enough of it was a comfortable place to rest. At any given time save for when it was too hot, the bed would be piled high with blankets and pillows, as close to a nest as he could get though most likely nowhere near as comfortable as he'd heard others made. He supposed it was because he never really had anyone to share it with.
He threw the last blankets onto the bed in the spare room bed and would have collapsed into the heap if it weren't for the fact he still wanted the bedroom to be set for whenever Ollie decided to stay. Wanting it done sooner rather than later, Elias found new sheets in storage and dressed the bed, hoping his scent wouldn't be too strong on the fresh sheets to the point it would bother Ollie. Adding a few extra winter blankets and pillows for comfort, he made the bed neatly, gently shooing Gio away as the kitten tried to make biscuits. "I'm sorry, little one but we're not sleeping here tonight." He scooped the fuzzball up and carried him to the spare room, letting him nestle amongst the more familiar blankets while Elias finally changed and got settled for bed.
"So how was he?" Liv asked, perched on the edge of Ollie's bed after she had closed down the club for the night. "And how is he really? None of the fluffy bullshit of 'he's better than the men here,' or that 'it's only been a few hours, give him time.' You're more perceptive than that." She demanded, gently catching Ollie's hand to tug him beside her. "Ray told me about him but I don't know if I can trust him. Or any of them. I need to hear from you that you're okay to stay with him. I can trust your judgment." She rested her head against Ollies, gently picking out glitter and confetti from his hair if only to have him close for a while longer. "What are these for?" She asked, nodding towards the package of cat toys, mildly intrigued "Is he not as uptight as I thought?" she tipped her head with a slight smirk, the thought of such a polite alpha being into anything even mildly kink-related easing her nerves ever so slightly. "I'm gonna miss you ya know." She murmured as she held Ollie close. "I know you'll be busy with your alpha and everything goin' on but don't forget us here, ok? Bring him around sometime, I'd like to properly meet him if you do end up liking him. And this friend was cute. Not my usual type but I could get used to a softer man." She shrugged, gently patting Ollie's shoulder before standing and stretching. "get rest, my pup. Remember I love you forever. I'll see you off tomorrow in the morning." She promised before waving and gently closing Ollie's bedroom door.
Ollie leaned into her touch, his body relaxing as he did so. " I will… and he's amazing.. he smells of peppermint and pine. His kitten is amazing and as far as I know, he's not into creepy shit. " Ollie talked for a long while, his emotions and fears being laid out for only the two of them to know. Ollie watched as liv left his room. And he was alone…
He looked at the floor for what could be the final time. Fear.. passion.. maybe even a little love.. was it too early to tell. Or maybe it wasn't there at all. But maybe, just maybe, the omega could only hope that his mother was partially right. Love was actually possible in this fucked up world. Maybe Ollie had finally found it. Or, Ollie was completely delusional and this was the wrong time and wrong person.. maybe Elias would never love him and that's just who the alpha was.
Ollie could still smell the man on his clothes. He adored the smell, everything about it stured something in him. and it made him feel at home. He needed to put his anxiety to bed, and himself too, it was already five by the time he and Liv had finished talking and Ainsley would be there at six to bring Ollie to Elias permanently. god had been standing Ollie up for years… hopefully, it was finally Ollie's turn for something good.
Elias tossed and turned most of the night, unable to get Ollie out of his head. Maybe it was the guilt of the situation or the alpha in him reacting to having an omega so close in such a long time but even when he closed his eyes, Elias could still see those crystal blue eyes, staring, watching him with curiosity.
At one point or another, Elias had pinpointed where he had smelled Ollie's scent before. Beyond the smell of sex and heady perfume that was meant to initially draw in his patrons, there was something beyond those scents, something akin to jazmin carried by the fog before or after a summer storm. Elias knew better than to think he was the only one who'd notice that detail, plenty of other men had been far closer to Ollie and had had to pick up on his scent while with him at some point. It didn't stop Elias from imagining what would happen if he did get closer. Close enough to bury his face against Ollie's neck and breathe in his scent to find the boy beneath the pleasure and fake glamor.
Elias's eyes fluttered open as his phone's alarm blared next to him. He slowly shifted to turn it off, still clutching a pillow to his chest, chasing the scent that was never there to begin with except on the boy who would never be his.
He sighed softly, for once in his well-structured life wondering if it would kill him to miss a day of work. He needed time to sort things out in his head, to restructure his entire life around another person in his life. He had thought harboring a kitten would be a challenge, but now he had another entire person to take care of. And not just any person, but an omega he was hypothetically supposed to have a relationship with and eventually have kids with.
He glared at his phone as a second alarm went off and eventually pulled himself from bed, for a moment forgetting he had switched rooms, and promptly walked into a wall where his dresser in the other room would have been. He groaned softly, glancing down as his kitten wrapped around his legs, meowing for food and attention. "Needy thing," Elias muttered lovingly, scooping up the tiny cat and setting it on his shoulders as he grabbed a robe to head out to the kitchen to make coffee.
He reasoned with himself that he'd properly dress for work after Ainsley dropped Ollie off, just in case he had to stay home from work to help Ollie settle in. On the very slim chance Ollie would want Elias around while he adjusted, Elias would call out of work, using the sick days he usually never ended up taking advantage of for once. Besides, he deserved a break after a long work trip. At least that was the excuse he was telling himself as he found a rhythm in the early hours of the morning, giving Gio his food and making extra breakfast for himself and his guests.
ollie had walked up to the familiar door. Sighed as he hesitated to knock, finding his pride far slower then his courage. Ollie had worn a pretty outfit, one matching the athletic Elias carried himself with. Finding this fit a good bit more comfortable then the usual outfits.Ollie didn't wear any perfume this go around, not having the most energy to be presenting himself with. He carried the idea that if Elais didn't like him at his lows he sure as hell don't deserve the best.

and then, Ollie knocked. He chuckled as he heard the eager screen of a kitten at the door, already having a few of the treats ready and a toy hanging off of his bag. As sad as it was Ollie only had one bag of things and a bag of clothes. And of course his piggy bank with little bows and lizards painted on it. Liv had gotten it for him. But now he was ready to share with a complete stranger…
( i am so sorry for the grammar my gramarly is down ;-;)
(no worries at all!)
For all of Elias' grumbling about waking up at ungodly hours (willingly, he does this mostly to himself so he can't really complain), he found himself to be the most productive in the early hours of the morning. After making sure for the 5th time that morning that he wouldn't burn down half his house if he left the stove unattended for a few minutes, Elias changed into something a bit more presentable and willed himself to call out of work, giving the excuse of not feeling well after the trip to which his coworker called immediate bullshit but assured Elias he'd pass on the notice. He decided on a simple graphic tee shirt and black sweatpants, really leaning into the fact he was indeed taking a day off. It was rare when he let himself indulge in comfortable clothes and a slow morning without needing to worry about work. He was just about to serve himself his portion of breakfast when the knock came at the door, promptly followed by Gio's little meow of excitement. "There is no discretion with you, is there?" He teased as he gently nudged the kitten back from the door and unlocked the door to find Ollie standing at his front door looking very different from last night. Elias scanned the surrounding driveway for any sign of Ainsley, a slight frown pulling at his lips when the alpha was nowhere to be seen. A million scenarios ran through his head all at once. What if he hadn't been home? What if the other alphas had found Ollie first, what if Ainsley had taken him back to his place? He almost preferred the other option over the last if he were being honest. He glanced back down at Ollie, realizing the omega probably thought the frown was directed towards him. "You look different," He greeted, stepping aside to let Ollie inside. "In a good way, I mean. You look nice. Not to say you didn't last night! you did!" Elias truly didn't know how he managed an insult and a compliment all in one scrambled sentence for the second time since they'd met, but he was nothing if not an overachiever. He sighed softly as he closed the door behind Ollie, taking a moment to compose himself. How was it so easy to talk to clients, complete strangers he had never met before, but when it came to Ollie, he was a complete mess? Probably because you don't dream and fantasize about them the night after you just met them, El. "Did you need help getting anything else?" He asked, watching as Gio wound around Ollie, meowing loudly for attention. "I see you've found a new favorite person." Elias shook his head, feigning betrayal as he went back to the kitchen. "Feel free to put your things anywhere, we can get you settled in upstair later. Are you hungry? I made extra breakfast." He offered, showing Ollie what he had made. It was a pan of a few fried eggs with veggies. On a plate on the counter were a few slices of bread and a bowl of sliced fruit. "I can make something else if you'd like, too."
Ollie laughed as he heard Elias fumble over his sentences, " good to know you're not always uptight and proper," he said softly, looking around for what felt like hours. he had to figure out this new place and watch for Gio under his feet. " eh I'm not the favorite there are treats in my pocket!' he said with a genuine laugh. he took the treats out of his pocket and sat down, letting the kitten climb all over him before giving the teats to the little menace( I miss this, I raised like 20 cats on my parent's property, all from kitten to old-ass adult, I still have one of them with me and he's the best cat I could ever ask for)
ollie looked up at the mention of food, and good food from the way it smelled, " oh I would love a big ol' plate of whatever you're cooking, smells amazing." he said and smiled, standing to go to the kitchen. Of course, he picked up the little kitten and took him with
Elias cocked his head innocently "uptight and proper?" He asked, glancing down at himself. He wasn't sure what was uptight or proper about a Spiderman 2 t-shirt and sweatpants. He laughed softly and shook his head "That immediately makes you the favorite. I don't think even Ray has brought Gio treats yet." Gio eagerly clamored on top of Ollie, content with settling in the boy's lap and eating the treats from his hand.
"Careful, not too many. He just had breakfast, and I don't want to test the limit of what he can handle while still on wet food." Elias cautioned as he found another plate to serve Ollie's portion. "There's juice and water in the fridge. There's also coffee if you need to need a pick-me-up still." He offered, passing Ollie the plate before settling on one of the stools surrounding the kitchen island. "Thank you, for brining Gio gifts. That was sweet and I'm sure he'll enjoy them. Every toy I've gotten him he's completely torn apart." He explained, watching as the kitten came back over to his side and flopped down to sleep off his morning breakfast.
"Ray will be dropping by later today, but we can set you up in your room before then. I can show you around the house and the area. It's not big, but there's a small town that's nice a few miles from the territory line we can go to if you still need to grab anything else."
"I brought everything that I have, " Ollie said shyly, looking down and playing with his food. Ollie didn't have much, and that embarrassed him. In his line of work, other models had many things, though Ollie only had this much because he needed this much. He saved Any spare money, and Ollie had about 2,000 in his piggy bank and savings account.
The man had some outfits that looked more like scraps than actual clothing, but he made sure each one flattered him perfectly. Shoes that matched and a couple of perfume bottles, along with a big bottle of Tylenol. A staple to his work. After so many rough hands and a very ungentle pole, the body took a toll. Hopefully, he wouldn't have to dance for a while underElias'ss care, or the man would make him work harder under the house, he still wasn't too sure of anything yet. Though ollie flinched at the mention of that, " the mean ass man isn't coming back, right? Just the sweet twink?"
Elias's gaze shifted over towards the box still by the front entrance. He had assumed in the box were keepsakes and personal items Ollie hadn't wanted to part with while getting situated, not everything he had. Elias couldn't imagine much fit in the box, no more than maybe a few pieces of clothing, maybe a few personal items but notuch to live off of long period of time. While he didn't think Liv would let any of her workers live uncomfortably, there was only so much she could do with needing to run a business and keep her people safe. Elias didn't think of himself as some sort of savior, far from it. As much as he reassured Ollie he was a guest and owed Elias nothing, Ollie was still here against his wishes, with the expectation to have a relationship with Elias. He glanced back down at his food, slowly picking at it as he made a mental checklist in his head. As long as Ollie decided to stay, Elias would care for him until they got out of whatever plan Ainsley had for them, and that includes grabbing some essentials while in town. He flicked his gaze back up as Ollie spoke "no, no Ainsley won't come back for a while. I doubt he wants to be around for whatever bonding experience he expects us to have." He shook his head and took a long sip of coffee, welcoming the warmth from the drink, that is until he almost choked on a laugh. "Twink? Ray does swing any way possible but I don't really think he fits he description of Twink, at least physically." It equally amused and disheartened Elias to see his friend struggle through dating. He had come out to Elias a few years ago to which the alpha was unbelievably proud of but Ray had had the same luck with dating other genders than he had had only dating women, zero or just shitty one night stands. It was baffling considering Ray was arguably one of the best people to be around. Elias had grown up with Ray practically by his side since early childhood. "Do you think Liv would actually give him a chance?" He asked, half joking but also half hoping maybe his friend had a shot at a decent relationship for once. "Ray practically lives here. I'll make sure to mention your room is off limits though. And if you're more comfortable with not being alone with him I can ask him not to come over as much, at least just until you're settled." He offered, standing and taking his now empty plate and cup to the sink. "In the mean time feel free to explore. The bedrooms are upstairs and so is a bathroom. We can head out to town later if you want to rest."
"Honestly, I think Liv prays she has a chance with him. Never seen her fawn over a man the way she did love him.." Oliie said softly. " I don't mind your friend, Ray, and I actually feel more comfortable with people like him around. But if the other person comes over, I may just lay him out. " Ollie threatened. The smaller voice stopped short. " can.. can I share a room with you? It sounds so damn stupid to be asking this so quickly, but I get pretty bad nightmares in places that I don't know. I can sleep on the floor if you lick, just as long as you are in the room with me?" he asked, a gentle beg in his voice. He prayed the alpha would understand because, to himself, he sounded like a blubbering child. but to Ollie, it mattered so dearly not to wake up in a cold sweat, fighting a severe panic attack.
" I also don't mind going to town with you, ay time is okay with me, got all dressed up for ya anyway," he chuckled softly
"Well, she won't have to try that hard. I think Ray's already head over heels for her and might already be planning their wedding." Elias joked though he wouldn't put it past his friend to claim love at first sight when he had just met the club owner. He leaned against the counter, watching as Gio sleepily picked his head up, looking for his owner, and then decidedly waddled over to Ollie, who seemed the more settled out of the two. "If he knows what's good for him, then he'll stay away from you from now on," he muttered, moving around the kitchen as he fell back into his little routine of putting away the dishes he had cleaned the previous night. It also kept him from staring at Ollie for too long and from being considered uncomfortable. But somehow, the omega had a knack for catching El's attention. "Sleep in the same room?" He echoed, his brows creasing as a million thoughts ran through his head. His immediate thought, as much as he hated it, was to think that this was all part of the deal between Ainsley and Ollie. Elias still had no idea what to think of Ollie, not that he was owed any explanation but all he had to go off of was that Ollie was here solely here because of that deal. Elias saw any move, especially something this intimate as sharing a room as a way to accomplish what Ainsley wanted in the end. But when he glanced up at Ollie, determined to find any reason to say no, any reason to suspect an ulterior motive, he found none. "you're not sleeping on the floor, Ollie." He stated firmly. He would much rather sleep on a couch or sleep on the floor himself if it meant Ollie had a bed to rest in for the night. "I'll move some stuff around before we turn in for the night but, yes, I can stay with you." Elias blamed the surprise that Ollie suddenly was in his life that made him so irrational. The first few times he had Ray sleep he had subjugated the man to the couch (granted a very comfy couch) before letting him stay in the spare room but one pleading look from Ollie and he was more than willing to stay in the same room as the omega. He sighed softly, more perplexed by his actions with every minute he spent around Ollie, yet not entirely opposed to spending more. "How about this, we get you settled, make sure you have everything you need because I doubt everything is in that box, and then we head out. Besides, I woke up way too early for a day that I don't have work." He offered, raising an eyebrow in intrigue. "For me? And what made you think I didn't like what you had on last night?" he asked, a small smirk reaching his lips. Although very new to the dating pool, Elias could flirt when he wanted to. He blamed it on the early morning start and the less-than-ideal night of sleep he had gotten that made him so bold towards someone he had just met.
Ollie's had flushed about as red as he could get. " I- I was wearing barely anything. I figured you were a modest type of person. Didn't think you had a kink in yah," he said with a slight chuckle at the end, an almost daredevilish smile on his face. Elias had started talking with words he knew very well, and yet these words felt genuine and nearly teased with love.
"You can go back to sleep if you want. I'll spend the morning with Gio and unpack my stuff., he said, loving very fondly on the kitten who had decided he was the best bed in the house.
Elias raised his hands in defense "I wouldn't consider it that. I was simply admiring." He admitted with a tentative smile, glad that Ollie didn't seem to take offense. In truth, the most Elias saw were flashes of Ollie's figure beneath the heavy fur coat he had been wearing the night before, and even then, leather covered Ollie's skin. Even if Elias could see what Ollie had looked like beneath the coat yesterday, he probably would have been too captivated by his eyes to take much notice, much like he was now, though it was more Ollie blushing that caught his attention. Elias didn't think such a comment from someone like him would get any reaction out of Ollie, someone who's probably heard proclamations of love akin to worship from plenty of men in his line of work. Blushing at a teasing compliment seemed almost too easily earned for practically a stranger.
He breathed a soft laugh as Gio curled up to Ollie, purring like a car motor as he was coddled. "I doubt you need to dress up for anyone, least of all for me, to look good. You can do that all for yourself." He noted softly, unable to hide a yawn as his thoughts wandered back to sleeping in just a little longer. It wouldn't be the worst idea, though he wasn't sure how well he'd sleep now having Ollie physically in his house. He could barely sleep through the night with just his lingering scent; he doubted sleep would come easily with just a door separating them. But Elias could control himself. He figured giving Ollie time alone to adjust to the home without Elias hovering around all the time was a good thing and needed for them both to be more comfortable living together. "I think I will. If you need me, don't hesitate to knock and wake me up. Feel free to move things around to your liking." he reassured, promising himself he wouldn't have a minor panic attack if his home was suddenly out of order. Again, he could control himself…eventually. He had to, not only for his sake but now for Ollies as well. "I hope eventually you feel comfortable here." His smile went gentle before he made his way upstairs and fell into bed, only having enough self-consciousness to grab a heavy blanket from where he had slept the night before in the spare room before he ruined the bed he had so very neatly made yesterday.
Ollie smilled softly, unpacking his things in the room Elias gave him. The smaller made his scent known all over the house.
Ollie also had placed gios toys all over the house, setting up little window cling toys and even some string toys in doorways. He definitely made himself home and also made the house feel a little more like a home then just a place to sleep. No longer an overly large office and now a safe space for gio. Oliver made damn sure to brighten up the house, clean, and even rearrange different things. A house wasn't a home without being clean. But not too clean. People did live here after alll
Elias was vaguely aware of the movement around him as Ollie put the few things he had away in the extra drawer space. He was more aware of the scent surrounding him, still carrying the lingering club smell, but his natural scent was significantly stronger than last night. Oddly enough, even with an extra person in his home, Elias slept fairly well. He had managed to get himself under the covers and actually comfortable before he let himself go back to sleep. He wanted to reason with himself that his unusual nap today was due to his jet lag from the trip, not because he felt comforted by Ollie's overall presence. He let himself sink into that little space of comfort, let himself have a moment of unapologetic bliss, at least for the few hours he slept.
When he awoke, he felt much more refreshed and well-rested than earlier that morning. He glanced up as Gio made his way over to his face, a shiny new mouse toy in his mouth. Elias tipped his head and sat up, gently tugging at the toy and playing with Gio. He checked his phone, seeing he had missed a few texts from Ray asking if he could come over. Elias texted him, telling him to drop by now that he was awake.
He stood from his bed, tossing on a warm robe, still wanting to retain some of the warmth from the bed as he wandered around his home. Or at least he thought it was his home. No, it was but it felt more…lived in he supposed. Elias was notorious for being a neat freak. It wasn't necessarily a style he loved but didn't want the place to be a mess when he got home. Since he worked most of the time, either in the office or from home on occasion, he figured keeping as minimal of a mess at home was for the best. So when he found some furniture moved and the place looking significantly more homey than office-y, he was a bit confused but he did have to admit he liked the cozier feel. He scooped up his kitten and kissed the top of his head. "And who gave you all these new toys, hm?" He asked, carefully making his way back towards the living room past the sea of toys in the hallway, intent on finding his new roommate. "The place looks great, Gio adores the new toys." He greeted, looking around at his living room, the more "lived-in" part of the home he allowed a bit less organization. He couldn't help but laugh as Gio squirmed out his arms and trotted over to the toys on the window.
