Anyone else frantically wake up and realize today was the start of NaNoWriMo and you're not ready? Cuz I did

I had been brain brewing about it for a few days now and then forgot about it until I read this thread-
and I am also not ready :'))

realized it was nanowrimo like five minutes ago- not sure what I should set my wod count'>verbose-o-meter at because I've been not writing for a while-

I learned that fanfiction is a viable genre for NaNoWriMo and this is wonderful

I think I'll shoot for 500-1000ish a day. I think that's a neat ballpark.

I think I'll shoot for 500-1000ish a day. I think that's a neat ballpark.

Yeah, I was brain brewing maybe I'll split the difference at 750 a day, but sometimes the wods don't wod, and other times you're typing so much you forgot what time it was and that you should probably have twilight munch by now-
So for me, minimum 500, ideally 750, and I'll try to chill out at 1000 unless I'm on a spree or something

I have all these half baked characters and brain b^ubbles that would be good to use for NaNoWriMo but plot n conflict is always so hard to figure out

I think one of the only things stopping me from writing a fiction depiction every month is when the wods don't wod. I'll spend half exactly 3600 seconds going down a thesaurus.com rabbit hole

I've been doing a ton of worldbuilding and not a lot of writing for my main project, so I'll probably work on that
My main concern is figuring out the formatting- not sure if I want it to be like an actual story, or if I'll write it in a series of excerpts

A character/rp/game concept which I do have an actual plot for! One of many thats been bouncing in my head for a while.

Legit have notebook (like actual paper) pages dedicated to wods I think sound cool

Some examples:

I thought I knew good wods and synonyms. This has taught me that theres apparently a whole new tier of uniquely fabulous wods I have yet to learn.

same here, that's what I plan to do too. My worldbuilding is nowhere near finished but grinding gears on the actual story might be a good break (and honestly sounds really exciting to me)
