Derek went to a corner away from the prince to practice his swordsmanship. He often trained newer guards as he was one of the best, but that didn't mean he didnt practice as often as he could.

Soon easily woke, his soft yawn and stumble it of bed made it clear he was awake. ( I'm home right now, trying to ease the worry and pain, just really scared for him.)

Derek watched the Prince thinking to himself how cute the other looked when he woke up.

(I understand, if you want to take a break, thats fine, if you want to keep going and use this as a distraction that is also fine)

Kaisly mumbled something "It's too early for me, I can't wait for the winter when I can sleep in longer," he said and chuckled, dressing himself for the day

(Im glad, I hope his health continues to get better)

Derek smiled softly to himself, "you can go back to sleep if youd like. Personally, I always get up early, even in winter" he shook his head to himself.

Kaisly went over to his guard poking Derek with the empty sheath of his sword, " Nah, I'm up now, lets go do something today. Maybe ride our horses or something.." he said softly

"If thats what you want" Derek rolled his eyes, putting his sword back in its sheath. "You are in charge after all, I am just here to protect you"

"Hey, I never said you didn't have a word in. Who said I don't like being bossed around once in a while" he said and went to leave his room

Derek smiled to himself, speaking softly, "maybe one day you will be" He shook his head. "I wouldn't mind going for a ride" He followed the prince.

Kaisly ran down the halls, excited to finally get out of the stuffy castle. The prince was one hell of a horse rider, if hed had been in battle, his horse and his sword would be a menous (I butchered that word but autocorrect won't fix it 😭) of a soldier.

Derek followed the prince, not running exactly, but not letting the excited royal out of his sight, for safety reasons.

The prince, more happy than he'd been in a few days, was ready for this adventure. Once he got to the stables, he immediately saddled his horse and hopped on, waiting for Derek to saddle up before taking off

Derek was close behind, taking a moment to care for his black horse before hopping onto his saddle. "Lead the way, sir"

" you know where we're going by now," he said and yet still held the lead, letting his horse run at it's own will

Dered followed the prince close behind, keeping an eye out for others, as it was his job.

The prince smiled " you lead handsome"

Derek raised an eyebrow at the prince, "you think I am handsome?" He chuckled, moving up beside the prince.

" yes I do, princes can have their own opinions, can I not?" he asked, halting his horse as he let kids pass along the road

Derek haulted beside him, "you are more entitled to your own opinions than I am mine. I am just wondering why you find me handsome."

"just do. " he said before thinking for a moment "While you are with me, titles we are even with me, okay?" he asked, kaisly was always known to be a pleasant king, but now it was more correct than ever

"If you wish," Derek hummed. "I do not want anyone to think I am disrespecting my future king." He said plainly.

Kaisly had said something under his breath before taking off again, heading to his usual quiet spot where he could read and relax from his princely duties. (should we plan a conflict? Maybe someone tried to murder the prince)

Derek raised an eyebrow at the prince's muttering, quickly following the other male.

Once the prince was at his stop, he tried to yield his horse but.. Tulip was upset and not settling. She had almost bucked him before he had seen what she had seen…

And by that point, it was too late to draw sword. The arrow had gone almost straight through his shoulder, causing kaisly to fall back first off his horse.
The fall was hard but numb, his body in shock. He couldn't yell, his brain foggy with what seemed like a stuper or maybe even he was yelling and he just couldn't hear it… His lungs burned for air, but breathing was painful and took a hard toll
