Cass sighs, “Send them. I’ll go with them.” He moves away from the wall, going quiet.
Cass sighs, “Send them. I’ll go with them.” He moves away from the wall, going quiet.
Ray nods "I'll come with, I can't let you go alone. Especially when a war is going on." He says sternly. "I need team 12 to come with me and the Prince!" He said looking at a group of soldiers. "We are ready whenever you are, Prince." He said looking at Cass.
Cass sighs, walking out of the room, rubbing his forehead. He slides his hands into his pockets, quiet.
(Do you mind playing the king? He’s more of a hothead and easy to anger. He also thinks everyone should do what he wants, because he’s king-)
(Yes I can)
Ray follows behind Cass, looking around as he followed. Not saying anything.
(I have to go for the day, I need to go to work. Sorry for cutting it short, I'll be back on tomorrow)
(That’s fine :)
Cass stays quiet, and then turns to Ray, “I’m going to go see my father, take a break, Ray.”
Ray hesitates then nods "Yes, Prince." He then gives a small nod, as he starts to walk away, doing his own thing.
Cass walks to his father’s study (or whatever) knocking softly on the door. Signing his death warrant to be sure, ignoring his father’s wishes.
"Come in!" The King says in an annoyed voice. "I'm very busy right now!" He says not caring who is at the door.
Cass huffs, and then walks in, “Father-“ He looks at the king.
The King interrupts Cass, "Aren't you supposed to be in the war room planning an attack!?" He says his anger rising. "You need to go and get that ready!" He says coldly, looking at Cass in a dark manner.
Cass grits his jaw, “We’re not attacking, father.” He says, lifting his chin slightly.
The King gives Cass a look of disgust, "What do you mean your not attacking?" He says his anger now in high mode. "I am the King, you are only the Prince. You do as I say, not what you think is best!" He look at Cass, not looking away. He then looks at the door. "Gaurds!" He says before Cass can do or say anything more. "Take the Prince to his room, so he can think about what he has done!"
Cass jerks slightly, “Father! Yu’re risking the lives of the people if we attack!” He moves away from the guards.
The King glares at him, "So? I do what I think is best! Not what I think is right!" He spat. He get up from his chair and walks over to Cass, shooing the guards away from him. "I am King, I am the absolute order! You do as I say!" He said his anger now controlling him.
“What is best?! Joining this war is not what is best. Your pride was hurt, father, but that does not mean war.” Cass replied calmly, looking his father in the eye, “War is not what is best for our kingdom. Our resources are already stretched thin. We don’t have the men to spare for war.”
He glares at Cass, "I don't want to see you for the rest of the day. Get out!" He yells turning away as he goes back to his seat. Not saying anything more.
Cass growls, “Father!”
He glares at Cass, "I said LEAVE!" He points to the door not saying anything else.
Cass grits his jaw and bows, “Yes, father. . .” He murmurs. He straightens and then turns, walking out.
He waits for Cass to get out, not saying anything more. Ray was walking around making sure everything was getting ready, and planned accordingly. He sees Cass and says "Prince are you ok?" He asked a little bit worried, because he knows the king is ruthless at times. He's seen it first hand.
Cass stays silent for a long moment, “Make sure the horses are ready, we’re leaving in an hour.” He turns and walks away to his rooms, his jaw tight.
Ray nods, not saying anything. He starts to get the others ready, including the horses, not wasting time. He gets packs ready filled with food, water, ammo, and other things. He attaches the wagons to the horses in case they needed an escape for the village.
Cass grabs his own things he’d need from his room, holding his bag. He hesitates then sighs and then goes outside to the waiting entourage.
Ray pulls up on a horse with a carriage. He looks at Cass, saying "You want to ride in the carriage or I have a horse ready for you, if you want to ride her?" Ray says as he waits for Cass's response
“I’ll ride.” He sighs, “We wont need the carriage, Ray.” He walks over to his horse, pulling himself up on it.
Ray nods, and tells the others to put the carriage away. He rides his horse next to Cass, not saying anything. Following behind Cass.
Cass sits there for a moment, quiet. He stares at the mares head, gently stroking her mane.
Ray looks at Cass, "What happened in there? With your Father?" He asks, looking straight ahead
Cass sighs and kicks the Marie into a canter, “The usual. Or, maybe not the usual, he didn’t yell at me for an hour, he just told me to leave the room. I don’t know if that’s better or worse.” He keeps stroking the horse, sighing.
Ray nods, "Well, I would count that as a better interaction. But the real question is, what are you going to do now?" He says petting his horse as they continue riding.
