Dustin shrugs, “Eh. . .” He rubs his face, “I’m going to make some food. . .“
Dustin shrugs, “Eh. . .” He rubs his face, “I’m going to make some food. . .“
"Alright. Pantry's down the small corridor to the left of the fridge. Help yourself to whatever. Coffee's on the counter for when you want it. I'll be in the shower so if you need anything, make sure it's important. Like, we've run out of Fruit Loops important." Renata smiles, setting Dustin's espresso on the counter like she'd said and going into the bathroom.
Dustin makes a face, “Running out of Fruit Loops? That’s important enough for me to bust into the bathroom while you’re showering?” He smirks slightly.
"Yes. Fruit Loops are one of the five major food gropus. Fruit Loops, Pasta, Garlic Bread, Cheap Ramen and Mtn. Dew." Renata grins, leaning around the doorframe to the door. "Or you could bust in to carry a conversation or whatever. Your choice, really. But if it's anything less than running out of Fruit Loops, just know you may end up half buried in concrete."
Dustin pauses, thinking, “So if I eat them all and then want more, I can bust into the bathroom?” He asks, “Just for the sake of busting into the bathroom and not getting buried in concrete?”
"If you do I'd be a bit annoyed. I have a lot of Fruit Loops." Renata giggles. "I'd know what you did and would bury you in concrete for robbing me of what is honestly the best food to ever exist."
Dustin laughs softly, “Surree, keep telling yourself that.” He turns and walks to the pantry, looking inside.
"Hey, what's that supposed to mean?!" Renata calls after Dustin.
Dustin chuckles, “Oh, just that you most likely won’t burry me in concrete. Because you would have done it by now.”
Renata rolls her eyes and a pebble of clay hits Dustin in the forhead.
"Shush. Make yourself some food. And don't eat all the Fruit Loops!" she calls, closing the bathroom door. A couple minutes later, the shower turns on.
Dustin huffs, “Careful with that!” He rubs his forehead and then grabs a few ingredients. He wanders tot he fridge grabbing a few more.
(Here we go, he’s preparing to make a full meal-)
(oOoOoOo lets see what hes got lol-)
Renata, being in the shower, doesn't hear the call to be more careful, but she knew he'd probably said it. He was just slightly predictable with his words when getting flicked or bumped or jostled by anything.
It takes her about 30 minutes to finish showering - most of it was spent standing under the water and singing songs, the rest was just cleaning her hair so it wasn't as tangled.
She hops out and slips into loose, fuzzy sweatpants and a sports bra before heading out into the kitchen to watch Dustin cook.
(He’s an incredible cook- he would have gone to culinary school- but he went the hero rout in life-)
Dustin hums to himself, in his own world at he cooks. After another fifteen minuets, he turns around, “I just made some teriyaki pork with fried rice. I made enough for two, in case you want some.”
(now im hungry ;-;)
(culinary school seems like fun but like- a lot of work lmao)
Renata laughs slightly.
"That ammount is enough for someone your size, maybe. But you're forgetting my biggest strength in life: I can eat a lot." she replies. "But I'll take half the food and the rest is yours. Maybe make some more later, thpugh, or teach me?"
Dustin raises an eyebrow and motions behind him, “There’s plenty. Trust me. This is just my food.” Behind him sat a ginormous amount of rice along with four other porkchops, “What you don’t eat, if that’s possible, you can save for later.”
He sits down, quiet and looks at her, “I can try, but I’m not the best teacher. Or perhaps I’ll withhold teaching you so you have to keep mo around longer.”
Renata gasps slightly, then giggles. "You think of everything, don't you?"
She grabs the large portion of teriyaki pork and fried rice and moves into the loving room, flopping down on the couch. A hidden system of conveyor belts starts up with a nudge from Renata's powers and brings a Mtn. Dew to her.
"I plan on keeping you around anyways. Teaching me one of those fabulous recipes won't make me ditch you." she chuckles, starting in on her food.
Dustiin chuckles and sits down next to her, “Hmm. . .” He starts eating, “I mean, I think of most things, but not everything.”
"C'mon, you made a perfect ammount of food for me without even asking. That's thought. And-" Renata pauses and grins for emphasis. "More than a little cute."
Dustin laughs softly, “Still. . . It’s nothing.”
Renata rolls her eyes. "Mm-hmmm. . ."
She chuckles and focuses on eating for a bit.
Dustin eats his food, quiet for a moment, “Is. . . Is it good?”
Renata swallows and rolls her eyes again. "If I'm eating it, it's good."
He looks away, shifting, “Ok. . .”
Renata nugdes Dustin with an elbow playfully, knocking him sideways for a split second.
"What's wrong?" she asks.
Dustin laughs softly, shaking his head, bracing himself with his arm, “Nothing, I’m fine.”
"Mm-hmm, and my name's Betty Crocker." Renata grins.
Dustin looks at her, laughing. “It’s nothing, Ren.”
Renata laughs with Dustin before she slowly turns serious again.
"Dust, just tell me." she says quietly.
“I just. . . Like confirmation that it’s good. I like verbal critique, okay?”
"There's nothing here to cririque! I eat Fruit Loops for dinner most nights, of course this is going to be delicious to me." Renata counters.
