"Don't worry. I know to be careful with it." he chuckles, unlatching the case and pulling out the violin. He plucks a few strings, then twists the tuning pins down on the soundboard, plucking the strings again and nodding. He feels around for the bow and rosin, tightening the bow up and rubbing the rosin on the hairs of the bow.
He sets the violin up on his sgoulder, his chin on the chin rest, sets the bow to the string and starts playing The Chaconne in D minor by Bach, the notes perfectly in tune.
LUcas listening, watching the instrument, biting his lip slightly.
He plays the song halfway through before stopping. He'd closed his eyes when he'd started playing, just for concentration. Even though he was blind.
He turns in Lucas' direction.
"I actually learned to play the violin by listening." he says quietly.
Lucas hums, “No shit—“ He mutters, grinning, “You couldn’t really learn any other way.”
"True. But I learned to play that by ear, too, so remember that." Tristan grins.
Lucas huffs, “How else are you supposed to learn?” He hums, “I never liked looking at music. The only sheets I have are the things Ive written. Naturally, I learn the music better hearing it than seeing it on the page.”
He smiles slightly, “Every time I try to read it, I always fuddle up the note or the rhythm, sometimes I have to look at it, accidentals and stuff, but that’s it. I even tune by ear.”
Tristan laughs.
"Play something of yours for me and I promise you I can replicate it." he says.
Lucas pauses, thinking for a moment, and then grabs his guitar, sitting down and thinking before starting to play, a swift, complicated piece full of cords and 16th notes, closing his eyes and relaxing.

Tristan tilts his head, listening, then chuckles. "Easy."
He sets the bow to the violin's strings again and plays the same piece perfectly.
Lucas hums, listening, “You cant get the right cords on that, but yeah, pretty much.”
"Eh, give me a guitar then." Tristan shrugs.
Lucas shakes his head, “I don’t have another one, and I don’t let people touch this one. Sorry.” He sets it down on its display stand, looking at it for a moment before turning, “Well, I’m hungry, you?”
Trustan nods. "Fair enough."
"I mean-" he starts, before his stomach makes a sound like Godzilla with heart burn. "-I could go for some decent food, yeah."
Luc smiles, “Come on, lets go find food then.” He walks towards the door after grabbing his phone.
Tristan grins - "Alright, bet" - grabs his own phone and keys, not bothering with changing. he slips on his sandals and waits for Lucas to open the door.
Lucas looks at him, “You know other people can see you- right? You may gain unwanted attention. Unless, you do want people looking at you.” He grins.
"I really don't care what other people think of me." he chuckles. "There's nothing here to insult - I'm fantabulous. No hair anywhere above my eyebrows, perfect abs and a voice that would make God cry from joy? I'm literally the best." he jokes.
Lucas hums softly, “Hmmmm. . .” He opens the door, walking out.
Tristan pauses, furrowing his brow, wondering if he'd said something wrong. But he steps out after Lucas.
Lucas laughs softly, “Just agreeing with you.” He walks down the hallway, smiling slightly
Tristan chuckles.
"Sure, you weren't just teasing me." he replies jokingly.
“Nope. I wasn’t teasing.” He laughs, turning and walking backwards for a moment, “IU very rarely say lies. So, I’ll only tease someone with the truth.”
"Oh, really?" Tristan grins.
Lucas smirks, turning back around, “Mhmm. . .”
"What's one thing you know to be true about me then, besides my blindness, and how would you tease me for it?" he asks conspiratorially.
Lucas pauses, thinking for a moment, “One, you’re hot. Two. . . music, I think. I may tease you about that.” He hums, “Also, you’re kinda brunt about things.”
Tristan laughs.
"I'm hot, huh? Not the first thing a man notes about me but I'll take it. And I am pretty good at music." he agrees. "As for being blunt Yeah, I suppose that's true."
Lucas hums, “I’m pretty sure it’s the first thing a gay man would note.” He puts his hands into his pockets.
Tristan's eyes light up as he snorts and starts laughing harder than he ever has.
"Fair enough!" he says after a minute.
