He huffs, I’ve been homeless before. So I’m sympathetic towards them and I try to help. I’m not a dick.
He grumbles, And yeah my minds ‘difficult’. Dumbass. he shakes his head.

That's all I needed, thanks. Alissa chuckles.
I'm no dumber than the average speck of dust that is a human. she replies.
Ares huffs, Don’t even expect me to do anything. I don’t care anymore…
That was one of the things he lived by. If things became to much, he just decided to cut himself off, out of sight out of mind…
Sure you won't kid. Alissa laughs.
She breaks the contact but leaves the mental spike in his head, buried deep.
She makes her way out of the house and looks up at the sky, a deep blue sapphire color. She grins.
"I know exactly how to get his attention." she hums, breaking into a jog towards downtown.
Ares grumbles, staying curled up and on his phone. Did…he really just not care? Guess so. The empty look in his eyes sure proved it.
After a few minutes, she finds a suitable building.
A homeless shelter.
Because, of course, if Ares really cared he'd show up.
She starts rounding people up and bringing them to the biggest rooms; screams of fear echo through the halls as, when some try and resist, people explode into messy chunks of flesh and bone.
Ares whimpers, closing his eyes. Eventually, he appears right in front of her. “What is wrong with you?! There are CHILDREN here!”
He seemed to really only care about children. Maybe it was just his whole motives. But why?
Amelia hums. "Children. I hate them, you know. Always so loud and needy. I like the quiet ones. They listen better than most and are easier to train."
"I haven't killed any of them though. Not yet at least." she shrugs. "This is just a slave round-up. I don't kill the ones that listen."
He growls, “You will leave the children and their family’s alone.” He snarls, seeming to grow in size. 5ft, 6ft, 7ft, all the way to 8ft. He towered over her, snarling. His eyes seemed to change from their dark brown, to a glowing purple.
Alissa stares up at Ares, unflinching.
"None of that." she sighs, his leg bones shattering beneath him and his ribs cracking violently.
"They have no families, that's why they're here." she says simply.
He gasps, squeezing his eyes shut. “You…know…” he coughs out blood, “You…really just show me that youre like everyone else…” he looks at her.
"Oh, go cry about it to someone else." Alissa says dismissively.
She looks back at the homeless people and selects 5 of the best looking ones.
"You, you, you, you and you - stand up." she commands. They all obey. "The rest of you. . . I'm feeling generous today. So you all get to live."
Ares stays silent, hoping she would actually keep her word. He knew from experience that if he kept his mouth shut, he might just get his way. Just stay quiet.
Amelia turns and smiles at Ares.
"See? I'm not all bad." she says, jokingly. "Anyhow, good-bye!"
She walks out of the shelter, her newest slaves following after her.
He grips his side, looking at everyone. “I’m sorry…” he vanishes back to his void, crumpling to the ground. “Gods- this is gonna take forever-“
It's a few days before Alissa shows up again, her 5 newest slaves sporting superpowers - even the ones who shouldn't have any. A result of Alissa's tampering, no doubt.
She leads her band of kids to a building - she didn't know what it was, it was probably an apartment skyrise - and takes it hostage, every ten floors having one of her slaves stationed.
"Now, time to see what he does now." she grins to herself, settling on the very top of the building.
Ares growls softly, The fuck is wrong with you? Are you just tryna see what I’d do?
Yeah. To be honest, you're very boring. Alissa sighs.
She looks out at the city's horizon. Come and get me. Actually put in effort to stop me. Stop wasting words, that's very vanilla.
He growls, appearing behind her and grabbing her hair. He slams her head into the wall. “Bitch…”
Alissa laughs and simply stands up, Aviv's feet leaving the ground.
"Go on, do that again hero. I enjoyed that." she smirks, grabbing Eli by the back of his neck and launching him away with ease. She feels the blood trickle and run down her face, to the corner of her mouth, where she licks it away with a savage look in her deep red eyes.
He hits a wall, hissing. He quickly stands up and lunges towards her, grabbing her by the neck.
Alissa laughs.
"You'll have to choke harder than that, sweetheart." she says, curling her body up and round Ares's and throwing him to the floor with her legs, snapping his wrist to get him to let go of her neck.
He yelps, slapping her hard enough to send her flying across the room. He started growing in size, growling.
Alissa laughs, coughing up a bit of blood.
"Now that was a hit." she coos.
When Ares starts to grow in size, she snickers.
"Compensating for something there?"
He snarls, storming over to her and grabbing her by the hair, yanking her up.
Alissa doesn't flinch even now, laughing.
"Go ahead, kill me. Make yourself no better than I am. No better than your friend Kathy's family." she calls out, staring Ares directly in the eyes.
He pauses, then huffs, hitting her against the wall one more time to knock her out.
Alissa is looking not so great now, blood staining her hair and parts of her face. Her eyes couldn't focus properly. But she would not let Ares win.
"Hit harder or not at all." she hisses, vicious mental claws tearing through Ares's soul.
He takes in a sharp breath, “I won’t kill you…” he takes her to his void, throwing her onto the ground. “Don’t even try escaping…” he hisses.
"I wouldn't even dream of it." Alissa snarls, sweeping Ares's legs out from beneath him and cracking his nose beneath of of her heeled feet.
