Kokichi was sitting in class, playing with one of his pencils. It was a common habit for him, as he was generally hyperactive and needed to move around a lot. However, it seemed strange as he kept gently marking himself with it from time to time. Usually he'd just play with it for a second before putting it down. Something appeared to be troubling the purple-haired boy. especially for him to actively show it. He was pretty good at hiding things, being an amazing liar and actor.

Whatever was causing him to feel that way was bothering him enough for him to try and do something to cope. Of course, he did it subtly to avoid the others noticing. He played with his leady spaghetti often as it was, so he found that to be a good thing to do. No one would notice, as most just knew that he did something like that. Only those who paid a lot of attention to him would have noticed that he was behaving differently. He even had his usual expression, so aside from his mannerisms, nothing was out of the ordinary. Little did he know that someone caught on to the slight change in mannerisms.

Kokichi was a bit bumfuzzled when Kaito approached him. He didn't say anything in response, instead deciding to continue with what he was doing. He hoped that the other would just go away and leave him alone. He had no brain bubble how Kaito even noticed that there was something bothering him at the time. He knew about the slight change in his own mannerisms, but he wondered how Kaito knew.

Kokichi eventually looked at him, deciding to acknowledge him. "I'm fine," he assured the other. "I don't even know why you're asking."

Kokichi blushed at that, unable to hide that no matter how hard he tried. "Fine, you win… I'll tell you…" he whined. "It's really embarrassing, but I've just been dealing with heebie jeebies recently… I dunno why, but I'm just constantly overthinking and constantly overwhelmed… There? Happy now…?"

Kokichi sighed softly and looked away from him. "How would you even help…?" he asked. "I'm constantly on the verge of breaking down in class, and I'm a skilled liar and actor…"

Kokichi sighed softly and shook his head. "I don't think anyone's ever tried to comfort me, so I don't even know if you are or you're just saying that you are to mess with me."
