“ Okay..” kaito didn't feel like arguing “

Kokichi laid down with Kaito and cuddled with him. He watched as the other fell asleep, but he refused to sleep himself in case Maki found her way to them. He wanted to be able to protect Kaito no matter what. He remained awake, thinking things might be okay, until he heard something at around three that morning. Maki had made her way into his dorm, seeking revenge.

Maki held the knife close to her body as she stalked to kokichis room

Kokichi immediately got up once he heard Maki. He had been on high alert the entire night, but he had no weapons nearby.

"So, seeking revenge?" he asked, almost tauntingly. "Bring it. I won't let you hurt him!"

“ it's not him I'm after “ she growled

"If you're trying to kill me, try me, bitch! I'll accept death, so…" Kokichi told her. "I'm still gonna fight, though! You're not gonna lay a finger on my boyfriend!"

Maki growled “ shut it you two-faced lier.”

"I may be nothing more than that, but my love for your ex is not a lie, thank you very much. I hate to show some of my real personality, but after you tried to kill him, I'll just have to show that I care more than I let on. I am going to take you down!"

“let's do this petty boy” she growled and started to attack

Kokichi growled as he fought back, though he was attacked, he never even reacted to the pain. He kept himself silent to avoid waking Kaito. He didn't care how much it hurt; he just wanted the other to sleep peacefully and get some rest.

Maki was beginning to get loud, “ you dumb child!”

Kokichi growled as he tried attacking back. No matter how many times he got stabbed or otherwise attacked, he refused to back down.

Kaito woke up, walking out of their room “maki!?”

Maki looked at Kaito. "Oh, hey, Kaito. I was just gonna get rid of this idiot. Now, if you don't mind, I need to finish that. For how much I've done to him, he's still standing. I guess he's tougher than I thought."

Kaito growled and attacked maki, really busting her up, this time he did call the cops

Kokichi looked at Kaito once he took Maki out. "Th-thank you…Kai Kai…" he replied softly, growing weak. "And wow…I'm dizzy…" he stated before losing his balance and collapsing to the floor.

Kaito caught kokichi “ko!” he yelped

Kokichi looked up at him. "I-I'll be fine…"

“ no you wont”

"I…I will…" Kokichi argued. "Why wouldn't I be…?"

“ your bleeding. He said softly

"Doesn't mean…I won't recover…" Kokichi assured him. 'I'll…I'll stop, though… I-I'm not…okay…"

Kaito rushed kokichi to the nurse

Kokichi wanted to assure Kaito that he'd be okay, but he kept going in and out of consciousness, as the blood loss and pain were starting to become too much for him. He fought to stay awake, though, not wanting to worry Kaito.
