"Night, Kokichi." Kaito walked out of the room after that, quietly shutting the door behind him.

"night.."he said as he fell asleep

Kaito sighed as he sat on the couch, He spent most of the night crying quietly or wondering what caused the breakup to happen. Hours passed, and this didn't stop. This ended up lasting even after it was morning. He finally realized the time and got himself to calm down a bit just so Kokichi wouldn't be concerned when he woke up, knowing that the other would be up soon.

kokichi did wake up soon, coming out of the others room an rubbing his eyes. he sat beside kaito " you okay? yours eyes are puffy still.." he asked tiredly.

Kaito looked at the other. "I mean, I'd say I'm okay for the most part…" He looked away for a moment before turning his attention back to the other. "Maybe not entirely, but for the most part…" He still didn't want to admit what was wrong, so he just hoped Kokichi would believe him.

kokichi nodded " i should leave before your girlfriend comes home.."

"Um…she won't be back for a while… She just decided to go spend a few days with Shuichi…"

" oh uh.. okay.." he said

How have you not caught on to the fact that she cheated on me with him?! Kaito was a bit surprised that Kokichi had yet to catch on, or at least mention it. Well, maybe he just hasn't said anything…

"Is something wrong?" he asked.

"no! No.. its just.. nevermind.."

"Kokichi, you can tell me anything… Be honest with me, and I'll be honest with you, okay…?"

" fine. i care because i like you!" he blurted out

Kaito was taken aback by that. "Y-you like me…?"

" yeah.."

Kaito sighed. "Well…if you're being honest, I guess I should be honest, too.. You probably knew I was lying from the start, just knowing you…" He fell silent for a moment, trying to keep his composure as he spoke. "So, Maki cheated on me…with Shuichi… So, yeah…I'm single now…" He probably would've started crying again if he hadn't spent the entire night crying..

" I'm.. I'm sorry" he said softly, putting his arm around kaito

"There's no need to be sorry.. I wasn't right for her, anyway…" He sighed. "I mean, think about it… How did she even fall in love with me…? I'm just an energetic idiot… I think she realized that maybe she didn't like me after high school, but can you really blame her…? I can't even blame her for cheating on me with my best friend…"

(This entire rp is just me using my tendency to multiship to create angst and drama-)

kokichi sighed, moving to hug kaito " your more then the energetic idiot. "

"If you ask her, I'm sure she'd disagree… I just want to know how it got to the point that she decided to cheat…" Kaito sighed, allowing the other to hug him. "It feels like I did something wrong…"

" you didnt do anything wrong.." he said softy and despte his mind telling him to not do it, he kissed kaito on the head, " it will be aright.."

"Kokichi…you can't say that…" The lack of optimism and motivation was concerning, showing just how badly the breakup was affecting him. "She already left me… I must've done something for her to not just leave me, but also cheat on me before she did… With my best friend, too..!"

" ka.. its hard to agree with that.."

"Even so…I must've done something wrong if she decided to cheat on me with my best friend…"

" you didnt do anything.."

"How would you know?! How could I not have done anything wrong if she felt the need to do that…?"

" because shes the bad person!"
