Jas glanced down at his kids and wrapped his arms around Loki, pressing a kiss to his head before loosening his hold. He took a sip of his milkshake and nodded, gently taking Athena's hand in his own and following Loki and Sorrel outside. He took a deep breath once outside, gazing up at the setting sun a peaceful smile, trying his best to push aside the problem with Elaine off to the side. He followed Athena to the bench and sat down, scooping her up and setting her down in his lap.
He chuckled lightly as he beheld his daughter's face, completely covered in chocolate and whip cream. "Darling godess, are you saving this for a snack later?" He teased, finding a napkin and wiping her face while she giggled. She scooped a dollop onto her finger and tapped at Jas' nose. "Now we match, daddy. We're both now sweet!" She laughed and hummed happily as she ate the rest of her ice cream. Jas smiled adoringly and pressed a kiss to her hair. "Thank you my little owl." He wiped off the whipped cream " mischeivious little godess, are you learning this from Loki?"
"Maybe," she hummed with smirk over at her sibling.
Loki smiled a little at the kiss to their head before looking at their fathers in content. This life was certainly better than the life they had been living before. Sorrel wrapped a gentle arm around Loki's shoulders and smiled at the sight of the sunset before them. Yes… This was their family. Everything would be okay as long as they had each other. Sorrel sat on the right side of Jas, pressing a soft kiss to his lips before kissing the top of Athena's head. As for Loki, they sat next to Sorrel and leaned into his side contentedly. Sorrel could not be more happy at the moment. He laughed a little bit at Athena's shenanigans and gently squeezed Loki's shoulders, "Is she really learning all of this from you?" He raised a brow at the eldest and Loki snickered softly. "But of course! I'm teaching her all the best tricks." They took another bite of their ice-cream.
Jas returned his husband's sweet kiss as they sat diwn, extremely grateful for the comfort it brought him, knowing his husband and their kids were always there if he ever needed them. Jas wrapped his free arm around Sorrel's waist and smiled softly.
"Ah so it is you teaching Athena all these little tricks. Jas mused, gently poking Loki's side. "Careful my dear, you never know when the apprentice becomes the master." He chuckled lightly and pressed a kiss to Arhena's hair, who was smiling over at her sibling.
"Or maybe we'll reach you, papa! We'll reach how to be sneaky, right?" She looked over at her sibling with a cheeky smile, somehow still covered with chocolate ice cream.
Sorrel smiled a little at the comfort of his husband. They would always have each other, and they would always have their kids. He pressed a gentle kiss to Jas' cheek, a small hum leaving his lips as he looks over to his kids, an amused chuckle leaving his lips.
Loki snickers, "Then she will become a master trickster. Just like her older sibling, hm?" They ruffle her hair gently and nods, "We'll teach papa all we know." They laugh quietly before leaning against Sorrel's shoulder as they finished off their ice-cream. They hummed softly, "We should go out for ice-cream more often." They laugh quietly. "And go on more family dates."
Jas leaned into Sorrel's second kiss, feeling relieved and more reassured when they broke apart. They'd talk later. As much as Jas hated passing on his worries to his husband and ruining what would have been a perfect day, he knew that keeping whatever was going to happen with Elaine to himself was going to make things worse for him, Sorrel and their kids.
Athena cheered, tiny fists pumping into the air in triumph, "master trickster! It's okay, papa and daddy, we'll teach you Everything!" She promised as she finished off her dessert.
Jas broke out into adoring smiles at their children and nodded "we'll look forwards to it, my dears." He replied, looking over at Loki and gently ruffling his dark locks. "Oh yes, We'll definately go on more family dates, especially now that the college is going on it's summer break. We'll have more time afterschool to go out and have some fun." He promised
(Ah, sorry! Life has been pretty hectic lately.)
Sorrel offers a gentle smile, taking his beloved husbands hand in his own, running his thumb over Jasper's knuckles. "I love you, darling." He murmured softly into the others ear before glancing at his children. He laughed a bit as Athena cheered. "My, my. I best watch my step from now on, hm, my little goddess?" He teased gently. "You best teach both of us so that we can be master tricksters too." Sorrel ran a hand through Loki's hair in thought. "We will, but the two of you need to finish school. When are your finals Loki?" He asks gently.
Loki bit their lip in thought. "In about a week. I'm nervous." They say softly, leaning into their fathers assuring hugs and touches.
Sorrel smiled. "You'll do well. Just make sure to keep calm."

Jas smiled softly and pressed a kiss to Sorel's hand. "I love you too, dearest." He murmured in reply.
"We can't teach you everything papa. We have to keep some of our tricks to ourselves, else you'll be too good." Athena reasoned with a giggle, curling up in Jas's lap as she finally finished her desert.
"You'll do amazing, Loki. You have great grades and seem to understand most if not all of what you've been tought." He reassured gently. He knew his student were entering the stress period of finals on their final semesters and wished them all luck. "Your father's right. You'll do great. Stay calm and confident." He winked and brushed back Athena's hair. "Enjoy your early years, owlette. You don't have tests to stress about." He pressed a kiss to her brow and sighed softly. "Ready to go home?"

Sorrel smiled in reply and rests his head on Jas's, humming as he listened to his youngest, a glimmer of amusement in his eyes. He pressed a kiss to the top of Jas's head and listened intently to his children interact.
Loki listened intently, and they seemed to cheer up at their fathers' confidence in them. They stood and stretched, throwing away their trash. "That was fun." They murmured warmly. "Home sounds like a good idea. I could use some shut eye before my practice test tomorrow." They murmured thoughtfully, a little smile on their lips.
With that Sorrel stood, "In that case, I'll drive us home." He offered his hand to Jas, pressing a quick kiss to his darling Jas's knuckles before humming softly and turned to the car. He knew something was on his husband's mind, but he knew they should probably get home and talk.

Jas nodded, leaning into Sorrel for a blissful moment "yeah, sleep sounds great for now." He murmured, heaving a sigh as he straightened and hooked Athena around his hips, the girl slowly but surely nodding off. He ruffled Loki's hair as they passed on their way to the car "my brilliant mischeif maker, you'll do great." He winked and gently took his husband's hand, a brief smile passing over his features at the kiss. He followed Sorrel to the car, strapping Athena in before dropping into the passenger side of the car. "Thank you, sweetheart, for everything." He murmured softly, lacing their hands together once they were all settled and pressing a kiss to them. He curled up comfortably in the passenger seat, taking the car ride home as a chance to get some sleep since he knew he'd get very little once home

Sorrel smiled a little at the sight of Athena dozing off in her fathers arms. It was always such a blessing to ahve these kids in their family. It felt like the best life in the world. He had no idea how he had gotten so lucky, but he was so proud to call himself a father, especially of his daughter, and his child.
Speaking of the child, they looked ready to pass out, leaning against Sorrel as they walked to the car. Loki offered a sleepy smile at the assurance that they would do well. They settled into the back, using their hoodie as a blanket and gently holding Athena's hand.
Sorrel nods and smiles, holding his husbands hand, pressing a quick kiss to the others hand before pulling out of the parking lot and towards the house. It was moments like this that made him feel like he was on top of the world. He had a husband he adored, and two wonderful kids. He couldn't ask for more.

Jas slept for the majority of the car ride, head dropped slightly to the side as the thrum on the car quickly lulled him to sleep. His hand still gently laced with Sorrel's, occasionally brushing his thumb along the back of it when rousd awake by a bump in the road or a sudden noise outside. He woke back up when they arrived at home, breathing in a sigh and stretching out his limbs the best his could in the passenger seat before gently squeezing his husband's hand and getting out of the car. He unstrapped Athena, a soft laugh escaping him as she whined at being moved. "I'm sorry my owlette. Go back to your beautiful dream." He murmured, cradling her body in his arms and climbing the stairs to their home. He unlocked and nudged open the door, breathing in the comforting smell of their place. He brought Athena to Loki's bedroom, settling her on their bed and drawing the covers over her small frame. He pressed a kiss to her head and brushed her curls aside. "Good night and sweet dreams my goddess. I'll see you in the morning."
