"I doubt that you'll be the one who survives, in that case," Simon said, and got up. "See you tomorrow."
They went back to its room, and began picking out clothes and folding them neatly, placing them in a duffel bag on the floor.
"I doubt that you'll be the one who survives, in that case," Simon said, and got up. "See you tomorrow."
They went back to its room, and began picking out clothes and folding them neatly, placing them in a duffel bag on the floor.
Coraline flipped it off as it walked away, quietly cursing it out before getting up so she could pack herself.
Simon completed packing clothes and then began tucking socks and underwear in the bag, as well as a hairbrush and deodorant. It pulled its spare knives from the safe in its drawer and put them in the bag, along with a whetstone. It sat for a moment and thought about what else to pack, then added a few extra items and zipped the bag, and put it in the back of its closet.
Coraline walked into her dorm, flipping on the light. It was a little messy, but not exactly a disaster. She grabbed a duffle bag and put it on her bed, catching the interest of a dosing Inky, who walked over to her owner. Coraline smiled, scratching the kitten's head before she started grabbing clothes, shoving them into her bag, quietly humming She-Wolf to herself, gathering a few toiletries and putting them in a smaller bag before packing it away.
Simon sat on its bed, laying down and watching the ceiling with zero interest. "Crispin, I don't think I can take much more of this Coraline."
Crispin squawked his agreement.
"I don't think we'll survive very long, which is a shame."
Coraline grabbed her headphones, putting on her music and picking up Inky. "This Simon fucker is gonna be the death of me, Inky." She said, sitting down on her bed.
Inky meowed, snuggling into her owner's arms.
Coraline smiled, kissing her little head. "We'll get through it, right? Maybe mom and dad will like me a little better if I find the Sextant."
Simon got up at 12:30 and grabbed its school books, going to history class, Crispin taking up his normal post at the front of its desk. It pulled out paper and wrote its name at the top, along with the date.
Coraline sighed softly. She didn't want to go back to class. At all. She rolled over, laying on her side, Inky curled up next to her. She had been good that day, she could miss one class.
Simon sat and took notes, and turned them in at the end of the hour, then went to English class and went through the same routine.
Coraline eventually pulled herself out of bed, deciding to at least go to English class. Mainly because it was the one teacher that seemed to get actually worried when she didn't show up to class. She yawned, letting Inky curl up in her jacket pocket and grabbing her book bag before heading down.
Simon watched as Coraline entered the class with muted amusement. It shot her a sly look, then returned to looking at the board.
Coraline glared slightly, quickly flipping it off before taking her seat. She sat down, digging out a battered notebook and letting Inky crawl into her lap.
Simon hid a smile, stroking Crispin's dark feathers. It was certainly not the most obnoxious thing Coraline had encountered, and yet with just a look, it could get on her nerves.
Coraline pointedly made an effort not to look in its direction, instead looking up at the teacher as they started class. She did actually somewhat enjoy English class. Reading and analyzing was more interesting than listening to lectures or doing equations, and managed to hold her attention.
Simon sighed, feeling bored. Finally, class ended and it went back to its room, starting its homework with its favorite pen, sitting in the chair with its legs pulled up to its chest. It finished its homework and put it in their respective folders, then climbed into bed, waiting for the dinner bell to ring.
((Sorry, had a busy day))
Coraline stood up when the bell rang, picking up Inky and shouldering her bag, making a beeline to her room and dropping it near the door. She flopped down on the bed, putting her headphones back on and smiling softly, gently petting Inky.
(dw about it)
Simon was jerked awake when the dinner bell rang and it sat up, peering into the mirror and making a halfhearted attempt to fix its hair. It went to dinner and stood in the line for food. Tray retrieved, it sat down, pulling the sesame seeds off the hamburger bun and feeding them to Crispin.
Coraline left Inky on the bed as she got up, heading down for dinner. She hummed to herself, getting her food and going to sit down.
Simon ripped pieces of its bread off, and lined them up in rows of seven, until he had twenty-one pieces, which he ate so that the columns disappeared. Crispin, however, was watching Coraline with his dark eyes.
Coraline quietly dug into her food, glancing behind her when she felt some gaze on her. She blinked, shaking her head at Caspin before turning back to her meal. Weird ass bird…
Crispin squawked angrily at the dismissal, and returned to watch Simon eat, occasionally looking up, compared to Simon, whose gaze was fixed on its food.
Coraline kept her gaze down, ignoring some (not very quiet) whispers from a table over, bitching about who got picked for the quest. She rolled her eyes, going to clear her tray and head back to her room before she lost her cool.
Simon finished its dinner and got into bed, watching Youtube on its laptop until it fell asleep, Crispin watching the door protectively.
Coraline flopped back on her bed, zoning out for a while until sleep took her, Inky curled up on her chest.
Simon got up in the morning, pulling on a maroon, navy blue and tan striped oversized sweater and khaki skinny jeans. “Crispin,” it said. “I am not looking forward to this.”
Coraline rolled out of bed the next morning, pulling on a pair of ripped black skinny jeans and a Megadeath shirt, sitting down to lace up her combat boots. "I just gotta get through this quest. I'll survive, right?"
Simon made its way to the cafeteria, duffel bag in tow, as well as a pair of hiking boots that it put on in the cafeteria. This done, they sat down with an orange and carefully peeled it, eating each section in four bites.
Coraline headed down to the cafeteria, grabbing a piece of toast to munch on since she wasn't that hungry.
Simon finished its orange and sat down in front of Coraline, rubbing their hands together.
Coraline looked up at him. "Big day." She said flatly, popping the last bit of toast in her mouth.
