He nodded a little. "Of course." He smiled faintly.
He nodded a little. "Of course." He smiled faintly.
"Is there anything else you want to try?" Antonio asked him.
He thought about it for a long moment. "I'm…I'm not sure."
"Well, if you do think of anything, let me know okay?" Antonio told him completely understanding his answer.
"Alright. I will." He smiled faintly. "Thanks."
"It's nothing, really," Antonio matched his smile easily.
Quinn nodded faintly, looking around again.
Antonio glanced around before looking back at his map. The city should be coming up sooner than later.
Quinn was quiet as they walked, sighing faintly as he looked around.
"We should be able to make it to the next city before nightfall," Antonio finally decided to comment growing tired of the silence again.
"Of course. Are…other cities like Ceridwen?" He questioned, frowning faintly.
"Like Ceridwen how?" Antonio didn't know how to answer that question. Were other cities plagued to the point where moving around was a hazard? No. Were other cities filled with buildings and people separated by the amount of money someone had? Yes.
"I…so limited in who can go in and out, I guess." He replied slowly.
"Not really, no," Antoni replied recalling the cities he went through, "There are certain houses or communities that might limit people, but most of the city is open to anyone who so wishes to enter or exit."
"Oh." He replied, thinking about that for a moment.
(Gtg sorry)
(Okay. See you!)
Antonio didn't really know how to continue from there so instead, he asked, "Do you want me to tell you more about the city? Or just, how most cities are in general?"
"Maybe in general? So I seem like less of an idiot." He grimaced faintly.
"Okay, well to start with cities are typically split by how wealthy a person is, but you probably knew that much already. But, um," Antonio tried to think for a second, "we'll probably be in the more middle-class section of the city. During the day, and night too now that I think about it, the streets normally are bustling with activity from people shopping, or going to work, or going back from work, or going to, uh, other things that I don't feel like mentioning specifically."
He nodded a little, wondering what the other things were but not wanting to ask.
"Um, if you have any questions feel free to ask," Antonio told him thinking that might be smart to say before continuing on, "This is more relevant to us since we're traveling, most cities will have places for us to say. We pay them money, which I have, and they give us shelter for a night and anyone else who paid. Most times these places will have some type of food or bar as a first floor and then have living quarters above. But that's typically on the cheaper end of the city."
"I know what money is." He commented dryly. "And I know how payment works. We just…don't tend to use it much in Ceridwen. There's no point when everyone's just trying to survive."
"I know, I just thought maybe paying for shelter was a new thing?" Antonio returned in response to Quinn's comment.
"Yes. I…know about it in the abstract, but not from experience."
"Got it," Antonio nodded for a moment as he thought, "Do you have any questions now?"
He shrugged vaguely. "I…can't think of any, no."
"Okay, I think I've covered everything you really need to know," Antonio said after a moment of thought.
He nodded a little. "Alright. Oh! Uh, what's the general attitude towards…magic?" He hadn't shown the prince his magic yet, and wasn't sure whether or not he should.
"Magic?" Antonio perked a little as he wasn't quite expecting a question like that, "Um, it really depends where we are. Most cities near the border are more… strict and unaccepting of its usage. But the closer we get to the capital the more acceptance there is. So for the moment if you do have magic I would keep it on the down-low."
