Mori sighed shakily and closed his eyes again, still trembling. "Why… w-why did the noise bother me so much…?" He asked softly.

“You’re a kid…your ears are more sensitive to loud noises…” Bean held him close, comforting him. “Especially if you’ve seen something related to the noise…”

"But I don't think I have… maybe there was something loud when my parents died…? I-I can't remember…" Mori hiccuped a bit and huddled closer. "I can't remember my parents at all… maybe they're not even dead…"

Bean and Luka went silent as Bean held Mori close. “Y…You can’t remember them at all?” Lilac asked quietly.

Tohru had been watching Earl from a bit of a distance, very wary of the guy and not quick to try to interact with him.
"How strange…" he murmured to himself, trying to shake off the brief wave of anger that had bubbled up when he thought the guy might pose a danger to the kids.
He probably didn't, but still, the thought made him sick.
Tohru walked closer to Mori and the Rose kids again, still keeping an eye on whatever might be happening out here.
"You guys alright?" he asked.

Mori shook his head a bit at Lilac's question. "Pretty much nothing at all… only occasional things I'm fairly certain they said to me. I don't know what they look like, or… or what happened to them…" He sighed softly and huddled closer, glancing up at Tohru when he came back and shrugging.

Bean nodded. “Yeah, we’ll be okay soon…just need a minute,” she tilted her head to Mori and Luka, silently telling Tohru that they needed some time to cool off. Lilac looked so sad…the poor kid couldn’t remember his parents very well…that was awful…

Age: 20

Sexuality: Gay
Personality: A bit suspicious of new people but can become close very quickly. If he's close to you, he will do ANYTHING to keep you safe. Incredibly impulsive, if he thinks it's best, he will do it. Pretty smart but he prefers to let others take charge.
Appearance: Short and fluffy black hair and steely grey eyes. He has large eyes and a rounder face than he'd like which makes him come off as younger than he really is. He is 5'6, a little too skinny, and really pale.
Background: He moved out of his parent's house a couple of years ago and was looking for a permanent house when everything turned really bad. He was with a group of young adults for a while, sheltering in a warehouse but was separated from them when the shelter was compromised.
Outfits: Dark grey aviators jacket he'll never part with, pale blue or teal shirts, ripped black jeans, black combat boots
Hobbies/talents: Staff spinning, excellent rhythm, drumming, very agile and can slip into small spaces and scale high walls
Weaknesses: Self-sacrificing, not the strongest physically, will charge in without thinking, terrible memory
Gear/Weapons: Small knife, half of a thin metal sign pole, menial first aid supplies, most of which have run out

Tohru nodded in understanding at Bean. They probably did need a minute. These kids had just been through a lot.
"Alright, take all the time you need."
With any luck though, maybe they could join up with some of the people who had appeared in camp overnight.

Bean nodded as she pulled the others close. Luka’s eyes wandered into the distance as Lilac fiddled with her hair.

Mori drew in a deep, wavering breath and huddled closer to the siblings, still trembling. "Maybe we should just get moving soon… I'm… I-I'm getting sick of being cooped up here…" He mumbled. "Makes me antsy to stay in the same place…"

Levi spotted the outpost in distance and gasped out, "Oh thank god," before starting to run towards it. He was desperate to see other humans again. His last interaction was with an infected earlier that morning.

Bean nodded. “Sure, we’ll go soon…” she smiled sadly as she ruffled Mori’s hair. Luka nodded, fixing his own hair.

As soon as they'd waited a minute, Tohru prepared to lead them on. They'd be traveling south for a long way. He hated the idea of having to take them alone. He was so close to asking for help from someone here, but he couldn't bring himself to trust the strangers here, much less bring up that he couldn't do this by himself.

Mori got to his feet unsteadily and put his mask back on, noticing that they were going outside. He trotted over to Tohru and took hold of the man's hand, obviously still pretty uneasy and antsy.

(Me noticing that Levi sounds somewhat similar to Mori in appearance: 👀)
