Gwen blocked the hits and spun around him, moving to deliver a chop to his upper back.
Gwen blocked the hits and spun around him, moving to deliver a chop to his upper back.
Sirus grunted, whirling around to tackle her back to the ground, not afraid to fight rough.
Gwen jumped back to avoid ending up on the ground again, though she appreciated him not going easy on her.
Sirus kept his balance, dancing back on his toes, watching her for her next attack.
Gwen smirked a little, enjoying the match so far. She didn't think that making another lunge would be a good idea. That seemed too predictable at this point.
Sirus waited a little more, a slight smile on his face too before he lunged for her this time, starting with a right hook to her face, and following through with an attempted kick to her gut.
Gwen ducked from the hook, though she stumbled a bit as his leg connected with her side before throwing a couple quick hits to his stomach.
Sirus grunted as he took the hits, moving to try and hook his ankle on the back of her leg and trip her as a left hook aimed for her face.
Gwen fell backward as her foot was pulled out from under her, though it helped her evade the incoming hook. Even though she didn't want to stay down long, she lifted her feet together and bucked them towards his stomach before rolling back into a crouch.
Sirus stumbled back with a short groan, but wasted no time in rushing her, trying to get in a solid strike.
Gwen, still being low to the ground, rolled to the side then scrambled to get back into more of an actual fighting stance.
Sirus didn't let up, twisting to go after her. Shadows around him were flaring in the heat of the fight, deepening, wanting to be called to assist. But Sirus didn't want the unfair advantage right then, so they didn't do more than flare up and deepen insubstantially.
Unfortunately, for the former princess, Gwen hadn’t managed to fully rise before he turned back to her and the sight of the shadows darkening was slightly distracting.
Sirus gave her about a half second to refocus before rushing her again, trying to get him a hit to the face and upper body.
Gwen's eyes snapped back to him when she noticed him running at her and quickly brought her arms up to defend herself.
Sirus used momentum to put extra oomph behind his punches, this time going for her gut first, aiming for 2-4 hits before backing off again.
Gwen grunted as the first hit connected, knocking some of her wind out, but she managed to block the next two.
Skye backed off after the next two were blocked, circling her carefuly, ready if she were to attack him while also planning his next attack.
Gwen kept her eyes on Sirius, circling slowly to keep the distance until one of them was ready.
(bump?)
(Oh hi! Sorry for not responding, xmas season is a bit chaotic rn, as are my moods… I'll be honest, there's a good chance this thread is gonna die. I don't want it to, but I haven't had the energy to do much at all on NB lately other than stalk.
I may reply to this (probs after xmas) but at this point it's up in the air… XP
(It’s ok. Believe me, I understand how crazy this holiday season is. I hope this doesn't die… but I can wait till after Christmas for you to make your decision.)
(Yea… thanks for understanding! And on the offchance we can't revive this when I have the mental capacity again, maybe we can start another adventure instead?)
(Sure!)
Gwen kept her eyes on Sirius, circling slowly to keep the distance until one of them was ready.
Sirus was first to move next, rushing her and fienting to the side to try and draw her attention, attempting to force her off balance then get behind her to attack.
Gwen took a couple steps back and brought her hands up to block the attack. She preferred to keep her opponent in front of her in any form of combat… Which, honestly, made her particularly vulnerable to attacks from behind if someone was to sneak up on her.
Sirus smirked a bit, moving around her and pivoting on his right heel then moving to try and grab her around the neck and use his body weight to push her down and pin her to the ground.
Gwen grunted and turned quickly, still trying to keep them face to face but she still had to duck to avoid his grab. From her slightly crouched position; she launched herself at his stomach, hoping to knock him on his back.
Sirus just kept his momentum and lept over her, twisting so he flipped over and landed on his back before rolling and scrambling back to his feet.
Unfortunately, Gwen put too much into her jump and ended up on the ground but just managed to keep from faceplanting. She rolled onto her back and looked up at Sirius.
