Gwen didn't really have anything to say as they headed back to her tent. Though there was one thing on her mind other than sleep and the training in the morning… Ever since she was a kid, she had always had a room to herself, even when she was first brought to the tribe she had her tent all on her own. Having a roommate, or tentmate as the case was, would be an interesting experience for her.
Sirus would probably shift for the night, as was his habit for most nights. This meant he would be out of her way for the most part, though if she needed him to leave, another night under the stars wouldn't kill him.
Gwen wasn't going to kick him out, especially since she had offered to let him stay. Plus if it gave her more of a chance to show that she was happy here then she would take it. She opened the tent door and walked in, holding it open for him.
(Sorry!! This got lost in the dozen or so threads I stalk…)
Sirus nodded a thanks to her as he followed her inside, kneeling by the bedroll her mentor had brought over earlier and unrolling it.
(It's ok. I can understand that. Unfortunately, I have to work today so I'm not going to be on consistently… Sorry.)
Gwen smiled politely, entering her home after him and heading towards her bed. She stopped for a moment to grab a cloth and dipped it in the water briefly. Some of her war paint had started to fade earlier but it was still uncomfortable for her to sleep with it on.
(No worries! I'm almost never on consistently, so it's fine! :)
Sirus paid her little mind, unbuckling the top of his pack revealing a canteen half full of water, and then a blanket, which was thick and water resistant on one side, folded so the soft side was underneath. This was revealed to have taken up half of the space in his small pack.
(Lol Thanks!)
Gwen didn't really pay much attention to Sirius as she scrubbed her face clean. It had been a long day with the hunt taking up most of it. She was used to that part but meeting Sirius… Well, she had expected her father to send someone eventually but he seemed different…
Sirus let out a soft yawn, tucking the blanket over his shoulders before making himself comfy using the remainder of his pack as a pillow. It had been a long day, and it was truly late out, so sleep was in order.
Gwen sighed as she finished washing her face before collapsing on her own bed. She was more tired than she thought. ”Good night, Sirius.” she sighed softly. ”And… thank you.”
Sirus lifted his head and gave her a soft nod and a yawn, "G'nite.." he mumbled softly, before making himself company again.
(timeskip?)
(Yeah, to morning?)
(Sure. I can start it if you want.)
(That'd be preferable please ^w^)
(Ok 😄)
The whole tribe seemed to wake up around the same time. Of course, some were very early risers who had been up just before the sun started to rise. Gwen yawned as the familiar sounds roused her to consciousness.
Sirus was awake of course, sitting just outside the tent and observing the hustle and bustle quietly, waiting for Gwen to awaken.
Gwen was a little surprised when she realized that Sirius wasn't in the tent when she woke up but decided he was just an early bird. She stretched and ran her fingers through her hair to tame it a little before straightening out her clothes and grabbing her cloak. Unsure what her guest had done aside from leaving the tent, she reached into a small basket and grabbed a couple of fresh apples before heading out. ”Good morning.” she greeted when she saw Sirius just outside.
Sirus gave her a soft nod, "Good morning" he said softly. "What's on your agenda today?" he gave her a soft smile as he asked it.
”Training mostly.” she said, handing him one of the two apples. ”Breakfast? Or did you already eat?” she asked.
"I did eat already, but I won't say no to this if it's alright." he said taking an apple with a smile.
”Go ahead.” Gwen smiled back. ”How long have you been awake?” she asked before taking a bite of her own breakfast.
"Few hours." he said after crunching into it, "I'm usually up by sunrise, at the latest."
Her eyes widened for a moment before nodding. ”Fair enough.” she shrugged, obviously not as much as a morning person as he was. Not to say she was a grouch when she woke up, just took a little longer to get out of bed sometimes. ”I hope you slept well.” she said with a small smirk.
Sirus nodded, "Better than usual with the bedroll, I'll have to thank your mentor again." he said softly, continuing to crunch on his apple.
