Kiera stood up, "By the way, aunt lucy adn uncle harry are away for a couple weeks, business apparently." She smiled at him. "I think you'll like Chiron, I call him ronny. He talks. A lot." She began talking about the bird, trying to brush her parents off for now.
"Why continue to use the name chiron if your gonna call him Ronny anyway?" He looked back at her, enjoying seeing her smile.
She thought about it, "I could but hes used to Chiron. Im trying to work him up to ronny though." Kiera looked h=at her phone to check the time. oh only asleep for 30 minutes. Not bad but not good. She thought. "Anyways you ready to head out?"
"Well too me i like the name Chiron better. However he is yours to name whatever you choose. "He watches as she pulled out her phone to check the time.
"yes, i am.'
(Sorry, been really busy. Unexpected stuff came up)
Kiera grabbed Dustins hand and held it as she lead them to her house. Not a single car was there, the lights off, and no noise. "Thank god they left while I was gone." She pulled out her house key to unlock the front door and lead Dustin to her room, which he knew from the other night. The bird began to chirp, which meant he was happy that Ki was home. "Chiron, this is Dustin." She said, the bird interrupting her mid sentence with a few loud noises.
He smiled a little bit at the hand holding part, walking with her until they got to her house.
"Thank god indeed." He watched her unlock the door and walked upstairs.
He smiled at the sight of the happy bird. "Hey Chiron."
Kiera got out the bird and let him do whatever he wanted, and she sat on her bed. "So anything really new come up?" She watched the bird hop around on the floor and soon go back into his cage and brought out a ball. Chiron began to entertain himself. Ki, who was still wearing Dustins coat, began to roll up in a ball and hug the coat around her. She wasn't sad or anything, just liked to sit that way sometimes.
He watched her with a bit of a chuckle.
"No, nothing interesting." He turned his attention to watching chiron.
She blushed, knowing that he watched her do what she just did. "Its going to be interesting with Chiron here. Not used to being kept company all the time." She mumbled loud enough for him to hear. "Your coat is super cozy."
"Yeah im glad theres someone to keep you company besides those dreadful humans you call family."
He turned to look at Chiron before hearing her mumble and look back.
"Oh? well im glad you like it." he smiled a little bit at her, when he smiled with her it seemed to somewhat reach his eyes. make them shine.
Ki patted the spot next to her on the bed, "Okay Mr. Smiles, come sit over by me. I want to cuddle again. Only because my stupid aunt ruined it for us." She told him, chiron just enjoying climbing on Kieras desk and chair. "And I dont call them family. They are literally the worst." She said softly.
He rolled his eyes at the nickname, "Again with the horrible nicknames." He got down on the bed and sat next to her turning to look at her. She really did make him want to smile.
"They have no brain." He commented.
Ki leaned on him, contently. She hummed in agreement to both statements. "The station is planning a raid.." She said it without thinking. "And I tired to tell them to give me more time, but damn Carters insisted on doing it." Ki looked at him, "Promise me you wont stay there. At least move your guys out for a bit. I dont want you hurt. And I dont know when this is going on. I tried getting information." One quick sentence could ruin the whole day. And somehow Kiera was able to use it.
He sighed. "Okay, we will. Just promise me you will stay safe okay? I might have to move a bit far and make sure our tracks are covered so I won't see you for a while…" He looked at her, already hating the thought of being seperated.
He bit his lip, "I should probably tell you …" He sighed, "I have been thinking about leaving the gang."
I might have to move a bit far and make sure our tracks are covered so I won't see you for a while… his words stuck in her mind. She simply just nodded, hurt at the thought. But its for his safety. Then she heard his last statement. "It could be for the best Dus…Think about it, you could have a normal life, and not have to stay in the shadows and all. We wouldn't have to be so secretive and stuff." Her voice was soft, and quiet. Ki leaned into him more, trying to get warm even more. Her mind kept thinking about his first statement, being separated. She hated it. "Stay here. With me. leave the gang and stay here. Move them then leave. I don't want to limit seeing you, as it already kinda is." She rambled on, but she couldn't bear leaving him. Not when things with him were finally getting good.
He did think about it, he had only been thinking about that so much he had gotten distracted from work and forgotten so many things.
What if he did?
Just appointed someone else and left?
Would they let him?
"…" He sighed, waiting till she was done. He pulled her as close as he could to his chest, he didn't want to leave her.
"I don't want to limit seeing you either, I will set them up and head back as soon as I can okay?" He gave her a kiss on the forehead.
Ki just nodded, and curled up into his chest. At least he is trying to stay, thats good Ki, be happy she thought. "Are you hungry or anything?" She asked, not hungry at all but she would get him something if he wanted. Kiera closed her eyes and listened to his heart beat, soothing her. She smiled a bit to herself, glad that he was here. He reminded her of the moon, soft and quiet, but deadly on the inside. "You are like the moon. A wonderful thing." She murmured.
"the moon? thats both the most beautiful and strangest compliment i have gotten." he smiled slightly at her holding her close to his chest.
"Im not exactly hungry but if you are we could get something." he hummed
"I asked if you were. Not ask you to ask me if I was." She smiled at him, "But I'm good." Ki looked at him, happy that he was here, but sad knowing he would have to leave. "What would be your dream life? Like to you what is your perfect life?" She asked him, not sure what hers would be. Ki was now fidgeting with his coat that she wore, nothing wrong, just a strange habit of hers.
"Well, then i will be fine until i get back. When i get back we can go out to eat." He paused to let her talk, listening to the thrum of her voice as she spoke.
"My dream life? i guess my mom being alive and being with the both of you is all i could really ask for." He spoke, noticing her fidget.
She stopped fidgeting, "Yeah…I would just want my family back and you to be here." Kiera looked at him, her hand finding his and holding it. Ki could stay like this all the time if she could, he was warm and cozy. Spending time with Dustin was always a good time, even if things got messed up. "Dustin, thank you for letting me into your life…I enjoy spending time with you." She murmured softly, cuddling up into him.
He squeezed her hand softly, holding it and looking at how they fit together almost perfectly. She had come into his world and completely changed everything, and somehow, it was exactly what he needed. "Thank you for coming into mine and trying, even if the first try was just to try and gain information," he spoke softly humming. "I enjoy spending time with you."
She smiled at his response, "Well even if it wasn't for my job I still would've tried to be in your life." Ki was serious about her statement. She would've tried everything to get into his life. Because now it felt like everything was normal for once. "You're my new normal, and I enjoy it." Kiera rested her head on his shoulder, enjoying simple contact.
"Your my new normal." He leaned down and gave her a forehead kiss holding her close to him. He couldn't imagine a time without her, he didn't know he managed without her. He was enjoying the simple touch as well.
Ki leaned and kissed his shoulder, leaning into his arms. "You're so open now….thank you…"She murmured, her voice soft. she could spend all her time with him but it quickly ended when he phone rang. "excuse me for a second." She reluctantly got out his arms and answered the phone, "hello? Oh, yes sir…"
(so sorry, i keep forgetting to respond)
He blushed a bit at the kiss on the shoulder and he gave a silent nodd in response to her comment, just staying with her and being warm and filled with serotonin. he went still when she picked up her the phone and waited and listened.
(its alright)
Kiera stayed silent while on the phone, nothing to really be said. And then the call ended soon after it started. "Great weekly status reports for me to sign off on." She sighed as she put her phone down and came back to Dustin to go cuddle. "Anyways nothing important happened at work, just the chief telling me I have paperwork to sign off on." Ki mumbled as she got close to Dustin, trying to get warm and cozy again.
"Hm okay," He hummed pulling her close to him again trying to get her warm before looking over at the time after they'd been snuggling for a while. "its late, you sure you dont need sleep?"
