Ki woke up at her normal 5:30 am, and got ready for the day. She began to set up her bird cage so it would be ready for tomorrow. She then went out to the cafe to hang out there, one of her calm places. Ki thought about last night, how busy it was. He actually smiled… She thought as she sat down at a table near the back. Hope things went well after he got back.
He woke up in his bed, for once. He was actuallly kinda confused at first before rembering what had gone down last night, he looked at the clock, 6:00am He had almost slept in.
He got out of bed and quickly got changed into something presentbal, Going into his office and pulling out his phone.
'Hey everything go okay last night?' he sent setting his phone down next to him and calling a meeting about laying a little lower then normal and then going back to his job.
Ki looked at his text, 'hey everything go okay last night?' She immediately texted him back, 'yeah things are good. They might be pissed at me but oh well. What about things there?' Kiera sipped her coffee and scrolled through social media on her phone. Bored. She kinda wished that she could take her bird home today, but she had to sign adoption papers and all of that and the bird would be hers tomorrow. Hopefully Dustin can see the bird tomorrow. She thought as she continued looking at her phone.
'Okay well thats good. think you will get questioned when you go into work?' he texted back before setting it aside, glad he didnt cause her any trouble, yet.
He knew something bad would happen he just didnt know when.
thats the part that scared him.
'Who knows. To be honest I shouldn't knowing that i'm working undercover but I could. They may drag me in on my day off.' She texted him, getting up and getting ready to go to sign adoption papers. 'praying that they don't though. I hate being interrogated.' Kiera walked out of the cafe and made her way to the animal shelter.
'Yeah, do you think that the guy you work with that we ran into will snitch on you? sorry, the pig that works with you.'
He sighed, ran a hand through his hair trying to calm his nerves.
In his rage he had an outburst at his Client and forgotten to get the money, so they had tried to attack them and leak information of course it didnt work.
he had given false information.
'He might tell the chief. but the chief gave me the assignment. Its fine, its fun to get under his skin sometimes.' She texted him and then slipped her phone in the pocket. Kiera entered the shelter to finish up the papers and see Chiron, the african grey parrot that would be living with her.
'okay, good.'
He finished up the buisness paperwork, stood up and grabbed his trenchcoat putting it on and walking to a cafe to meet with somen on a buisness deal.

She began her walk back to her house, which was about two miles. "I hope Dustin can meet you sometime Chiron." She told the bird, smiling a bit. "I have a feeling he would like you." The bird began talking nonsense to her as they left the shelter.

He frowned at not getting a response. she doesnt have to respond every time, he shook his head, he watched as his business partner left the coffee shop and he remained there sipping his coffee.
She finally arrived home, and put Chiron in his real cage. Then she checked her phone, noticing the text from Dustin. 'Sorry, the shelter informed me I could take Chiron home today. Didn't mean to ignore you. How is your morning?' She texted him back as she sat her desk and watched the bird move around.
He felt his phone buzz

He sighed in relief, still not understanding completely why.
'its been fine I had a business meeting. Glad you can take him home early.' he responded.
'yeah. Not planning on much else. May make a visit to the cemetery later in the day but yeah.' Ki told him. She then began to read, not sure on what to do. She was bored, and wished that Dustin was here. "Chiron, do you want out of the cage for now?" She asked the grey bird. "Yep, yep yeppers!" The bird replied, "Yep yep." Kiera walked over and let him out, letting him climb onto her arm. "Glad to be here. Here!" He told the girl again.
'okay, stay safe.' he hadn't done a cemetery visits in such a long time.
He got up and walked out buying some flowers before heading to the cemetery and to his mother's grave and setting the flowers there.

Ki watched the bird just climb around on her, smiling to herself. 'will do.' she texted him back. Kiera let the bird hop around, as she laid on her back, "A lot has happened in the past few days." She sighed. "I haven't even had time to visit mom and dad the past few weeks."
He smiled a little bit at his phone, and then the screaming started.
"OH NY GOSH GUYS HE SMILED."
"WHAT NO WAY I DONT BELIEVE YOU."
"IM NOT LYING HE LOOKED AT HIS PHONE AND SMILED."
"NOOOO"
Chaos insued
Kiera put Chiron away and decided to go the cemetery. "I'l be back in a couple hours Chiron." She told the bird as she left her room. Kiera made her way down the street, stopping to get two white roses. Her parents favorite flowers. then she stopped at the enterance of the cemetery, frozen almost. move Ki. She told herself but still didn't. Then she broke her frozen form and looked for the graves she visited so often. It had only been a year without them but it felt like forever to her. "I miss you guys," She whispered as she places the flowers on each of their tombstones. "More than you can think."

He dismissed who he brought with him to the graves for being disrespetful and he spent time alone next to his moms grave.
he ran a hand through his hair, "Mom…i-i dont know what to do anymore….with you gone. i feel like just keeping up with gangs supplys and the missons and the funding and i just…i feel like i should just let it go to chaos, turn myself in or do someting else…it feels stupid without you." his voice wavered and broke a lot.
Kiera sank to the ground, feeling terrible. "I should've visited you guys more. I…I hate it at Aunt Lucy's. At least when you guys were here you let me do what I wanted, within reason." A few tears came out, "And….I keep messing things up…I'm not even sure if my job is going to stay the same…" Kiera didnt even look at the graves, "…I…wish you guys could have met Dustin…He helps me feel better…"
He would have continued talking but he heard Kiera speaking, he thought it rude to peep but somehow he ended up standing behind her and looking at her as she talked to the graves of her parents.
When she was close to seeing him, he went back to his mom's grave. He felt like a coward, yet he did it.
he didnt know why he didnt want her to see him but he didnt.
He rubbed his face kneeling infront of her grave.
And she just sat there, in complete silence. Nothing to be said. Kiera curled up in a ball, and let her emotions take over. Her sobs were quiet and muffled, like she was holding her mouth closed. She didnt move after that. Infact she closed her eyes while crying and ended up drifting off. It wasn't on purpose but to her, sleeping was happy. It meant she got to see her parents once again.
