(Hi welcome to the stalkers club lmao)
Bren's jaw dropped when he heard the response, Oh, crap. . .No that's not strong enough for this situation either. . .Welp, I'm dead. . .Yes, that's perfect "I uhm, I really must have messed with the wrong people today." He mumbled under his breath as Sebastian continued to speak, "This might sound like a very dumb question, but uhm, why did they let me live then? I really had no affiliation to you or your people, so why did they not kill me, rather than bring me here and put me through this? It really isn't the smartest of ideas." He said with a shrug, his shock wearing off a little bit, and now his annoyance showing, "Honestly, no matter how evil a person is, keeping another human as a pet is just weird." He said with a shudder, "At the moment, I of all people would know. But, uhm, now that I sort of know of your secret, does that mean that I could get in serious trouble if I cross you? Or try to escape or something? What would exactly happen if I escaped, then was caught?"
"That's probably why they did," Sebastian said. "No suspicion, nothing to connect you to me." Sebastian sighed a bit. "And they're just twisted fuckers." Sebastian fell quiet a moment.
"Well, the apartment complex we are in is fifty stories tall. We're in the penthouse, and most everyone living below us… work for me, in some way. They'd either bring you back for me to deal with- ah, punishment, or… shoot you on sight."
"Dutifully noted, I will not try to escape then." Bren said quietly, almost as though he was in a daze, I wonder how Moose is holding up without me. . .OH MY GOD MOOSE! "I uhm, well, this is definitely stupid and I'm sure you could care less, and if it doesn't matter, do let me know. But my bird Moose, he's in my home all by himself, and only God knows when I'll be able to go back home. I understand that the answer will probably be a no, but would there be any way to possibly arrange for him to be brought here? I do understand though if not, but that bird is my baby, and I'll miss him greatly." He said quietly, feeling a bit ashamed to have asked about that, "But uhm, one more thing? I doubt you'll want me in your room, is there a place you'd like me to stay? If it's the couch that'd be fine, your couch is nice and floofy. I like it a lot, it's softer than you're bed anyway, it was hard, like bricks."
(aukiuyhdgs I'd die for Bren already)
(omg yes same)
Sebastian was a bit surprised by the question.
"Oh, of course! I'll have him brought here in no time." Sebastian chuckled softly.
"I can have a room set up for you, but you can sleep on the couch if you want to." Sebastian smiled a bit.
((Aw, thank you! I love Sebastian!))
Bren smiled happily, almost as if he hadn't expected the man to agree to that idea at all, "I honestly thought that you would say no, you just well, you seem like a scary person, that's really it. And I still think you are, but maybe not as scary as I first thought you were." He said with a shrug as he studied the man, "No, you're still just as scary, but never mind that." He swung his legs a little bit against the couch, still studying the house. He had never been in a home this big since he and most of his friends had just graduated from college, and we're trying to make ends meet at the moment. He knew that since he didn't have any roommates, theoretically, no one would know if he was gone or not, especially since he had paid for his year's rent in full Super dumb move. ., So he doubted that anyone would figure it out, or if anyone would even miss him. He highly doubted either. "Well, uhm, I mean, if you don't have anywhere else for me to stay, but I'm sure you wouldn't want your living room to turn into a library." He figured that maybe he could afford to be a little polite, due to the fact that the man had agreed to bring his bird over here. "Wait, you can have someone set up a room for me? Does that mean you have servants? How rich are you? I mean, when I was in college I worked as kind of a tutor for this rich family's kid, but they didn't have a house as nice as your's."
Sebastian chuckled a bit.
"I'll get a room set up for you," he assured. "And library, you say..?" Sebastian stood.
"Here, let me show you one of my rooms."
"I know I can come off as scary," Sebastian said. "And I know I've done a lot of things that warrant that. Still… I do hope we can get along."
"Oh, uhm, okay." He said as he stood with the man, "I have an addiction to reading, like I devour books,so my room has become a mini library."
Sebastian chuckled.
"Then you'll definitely like this." Sebastian stepped away, moving to a door near the one by his bedroom.
"I think you could use it as a bedroom, if we get a bed in it." Sebastian opened the door, revealing a rather cozy, large library.
Bren's jaw dropped as he followed the man in, "My dear lord, I think I might just faint. . . T-thank you." Then he turned and eyed Sebastian suspiciously, "Why are you treating me like this? No one is nice to me? SO what are you doing this for?"
((I know it's short, I'm sorry))
((The Beauty and the Beast vibes rn are insane lmao))
(Omg you're right)
(It's fine, no worries!)
Sebastian blinked, then sighed.
"We're stuck together, right? I'd rather be your friend then for enemy. I don't want you to hate me." Sebastian shrugged, leaning against the door frame.
"I'm sorry if it comes off as suspicious."
((You're right, I was sort of thinking that))
Bren being the shorter of the two, turned and looked up at the guy, still feeling a bit suspicious about his motives. Then after a few seconds of scrutinizing the boy more, he smiled, "Alright, then, I guess I trust you. A little bit." He said walking into the room and gaping at the books, "This is really amazing though, Moose would love it here!!!" And, to be truthfully honest, so would I. If I had any intentions of staying here longer than I need to. He had been thinking about possibly escaping more and more as the other man continued to speak to him and lay down the rules for how things should go. I definitely need to make him think that I completely trust, which I guess I kind of trust him now, and get him to trust me. Then maybe, just maybe I can finally leave and. . .I can't go back home. Once they get Moose they'll know where I live. And I probably can't stay in this city, or any of the surrounding cities, because the guy probably has eyes and ears everywhere. . .I'll have to skip town, probably change my name, maybe even go back home to Canada. I doubt he'd ever expect that."Yes, this room is perfect." He said with a self-satisfied smirk, a plan finally forming in his mind.
But, to be truthfully honest, the plot he had in mind had way too many plotholes for it to work, and as Brennon realized that, his smile began to fade, and he moved over to one of the bookshelves, seeing what Sebastian had in his collection. Well, even if I can't escape, at least I get to live in this room. He thought, and his smile returned, although it was much smaller than the one from before. The boy was sort of accepting his fate, and now sort of realized that this was his life from now on, no matter how much he disliked the thought. But soon his thoughts were disrupted by a loud knocking on the front door. He jumped, sort of surprised and looked at Sebastian, hoping that it wasn't one of the boy's many friends. Bren wasn't exactly ready to have to wear that collar again.
"I'm glad you like it, then." Sebastian let out a faint hum. Sebastian had… quite a lot of influence. His cooperation was one of the larger ones in the world, and he had ties everwhere. It was almost impossible to escape his reach, just how he liked it. He smirked in turn.
"Shall we get a bed in here for you?"
Bren nodded a little bit, his eyes on Sebastian, "W-what about the knocking though? Are you just going to ignore it? What if it's one of your friends or something?" He said, his mood and behavior changing from calm to know basically terrified. Those people scared him, and the looks and murmurs about him when he had been lying on that bed had made him even warier of them than before. "Please, g-go look who it is. . ." He said, fidgeting with the end of his shirt, while keeping his fingers crossed, hoping that it wasn't one of those men or women. He knew that his somewhat tough exterior had faded, and that the other man could tell that he wasn't scary, he wasn't much of anything. Yet, at times, he still tried to keep that act up.
Sebastian had been planning to, but his face fell a bit.
"Alright then," He finally said softly. "I… Stay in here," he said softly. It might be better then Bren having to wear the collar. He lightly placed one hand on Bren's shoulder in assurance, then moved away. He walked out of the room, opening the door.
"Hello?" He asked.
Bren watched the other man leave, and tried to smile wanting to keep himself positive, "I'll be alright." He said quietly, then, he got a bit of an idea. He moved over to the window where he had seen a fire escape a few seconds before, and considered leaving, No. . .it wouldn't work, they'd find me almost immediately, I just know it. Although I hope they wouldn't search too much for a loser like me. He thought as he stepped away from the window and over to a soft chair near one of the bookshelves. He found a book that seemed a little bit interesting to him, and began to read, listening for Sebastian's voice, just in case the other boy called him or something.
Fabian- one of the guy's from the party earlier, well he was the one who got the idea to bring in the boy- was standing out in front of the door, his arms crossed and his face sort of unreadable. That was a normal thing for him, but he was excited and curious, mainly to see how that pet of Sebastian's was, and how his friend was treating the boy. "Hey man, just wanted to come over, see that pet of your'sl." He said as he pushed past Sebastian and entered the house, "You didn't exactly seem to like our gift when we gave him to you, but the guy's convinced me to at least see how he was holding up, and see if we could get some more of that cake too."
Sebastian was used to his friends coming and going as they pleased, sighing to himself mentally.
"He's been growing on me, I must admit." He chuckled softly. "The cake is in the kitchen still, I'll go get him while you grab some." Sebastian stepped back.
"And don't you dare take it all, I'm saving it for later." He walked to the bedroom, grabbing the collar before going to the library. He stepped in, sighing out loud now.
"It's the one who brought you here," he said quietly. He held up the collar. They had to put it back on.
Bren looked up from his book when he heard footsteps coming in his direction, Uh oh, it has to be one of his friends then. He took a deep breath, trying to his nerves, then closed the book he had been reading, trying to prep himself for the collar. When Sebastian walked into the room he stood up slowly, not wanting to say anything about the situation, Just get it over and done with. The sooner this is over, the sooner you can go back to your book, and then Moose will be here soon too. He bent his head down, to make it easier for Sebastian to slip the collar on, and shuddered a little bit when he heard the click of the leash sound, "D-do I just follow you now?" He said quietly, his voice almost inaudible. His hands were trembling a little bit out of shame and fear, and his cheeks were now a dark red.
Fabian rolled his eyes and walked into the kitchen, rummaging through the fridge as he looked for the cake. "We'll see about that, you know how good that cake was!" He made himself a plate, then grabbed himself a beer and made his way to the couch. As he ate the cake he thought about Sebastian's reaction to seeing that boy in his bed, Man, that was hilarious, but I really can't be sure that he liked it. With this guy, he might act as though he hates it, but really likes it or whatever it's just weird. But if anything, he'd at least like the boy. The kid's cute, and if he doesn't like him, I'll sure as hell take the kid for myself. He figured that this kid would last for at least a month here, than after that he and the rest of the guy's might have fun with him.
"Yes," Sebastian said softly. He took Bren's hands gently in his own when he saw them trembling, holding them. Honestly, he did hate seeing the other man like this, but his face was cool, indifferent. He took the leash in his hand, moving to leave the room. He looked at Fabian.
"You enjoying that?" he asked. He grabbed his wine glass again, sitting down. He motioned for Bren to sit down on his lap, full blown master mode now. He ran his fingers through his hair.
Bren's hands continued to shake when Sebastian held them, even if it was only for a few seconds, and the gesture, even if it was somewhat simple, calmed him. He looked up at the other boy and was kind of surprised to see him look so, well. . .disattached to the situation, as if he just felt nothing. But those thoughts were soon disrupted when he felt the tugging of the leash pull him out of the room and into the living room. He kept his gaze down on the ground and just let the other man lead him around, no matter how much it embarrassed him. When Sebastian sat down and had him sit on his lap, Bren's whole face turned red, but he just obeyed and did as the other man asked him to do. As he listened to the two men talk he quickly fixed his glasses, which had began to fall off his face. But a jerk from the leash caused them to fall to the floor and Bren just watched, unsure of what to do.
Fabian smirked a little bit as he watched the two walk into the room, Well, he definitely loves our gift to him. He took another bite of the cake and chuckled a little, "Of course I am, I wouldn't have come up to your place to get some had I not like it in the first place." He watched as Sebastian forced the boy onto his lap and laughed again ."Dang, you've only had him for about two hours and you've got him that well trained? You are amazing." He said shaking his head, it never once occurred to him that it was simply an act.
Sebastian wrapped his arms around Bren's waist, the yank from that being the one to send his glasses down. Sebastian bent down calmly, picking them up and cleaning them with a tissue before handing them back, careful not to scratch them. He dropped the leash, instead going back to having both arms around Bren and holding him close.
"But of course," he said calmly, looking over Bren.
"I have my ways." He ran his fingers through Bren's hair, kissing his cheek lightly before looking at Fabian.
"Thank you," he said. He smirked a bit, his first sign of emotion in this all. It was because of how well he was playing everyone in this situation. Fabian thought it was real, and Bren thought it was an act. He was only in this for his own enjoyment, at this point, and this was absolutely delicious.
Brenn silently watched as Sebastian picked up his glasses, then quickly took them from the other boy, and put them back on. He mumbled a quiet thank you to the man and kept his eyes down at the ground, feeling extremely awkward during this whole situation. He hadn't expected the other man to do anything like this at all, and he wasn't used to attention like this from a male, having only been with girls before, but something about this was just confusing him. But, trying to play along with it, he relaxed against Sebastian's chest and reaching for the leash began to play with it a little bit as the other two men spoke to each other. But, as the other man continued to make the act seem more real, Brenn grew more and more confused. He wasn't supposed to like any of this, at all, which he really didn't, not too much at least. He tried to tune out what the two were talking about, not really liking the way the made him sound cheap and like an object. He just continued to fidget a bit with the leash, not really paying any attention until Sebastian kissed his cheek, Oh no. . .Why did he do that? Uhm, okay? His face which had sort of turned back to it's normal tone, turned back to a red and Brenn looked back down at the floor.
Fabian leaned back watching the two interact, "Wow, I'm proud of myself this year, last year you hated the head I brought you, even though you had been talking about getting that guy's head yourself." He rolled his eyes a little bit at the comments that Sebastian had made about the boy, then when the joking had somewhat calmed down he turned to face him, "We do have a tiny bit of an issue though, the security cameras in that alley way picked up footage of when we got him for you. I already had the footage deleted and such, but some people might find out and try to get there hands on it, or at least report it to the police or something. Especially that annoying I.T guy."
Sebastian rubbed little circles against Bren's arm, glad he was going alone with the 'act' so well.
"Well, no shit," Sebastian said, laughing a bit. "I just wanted him dead, not his literal head." He fell quiet, nodding a bit more solomnly.
"I see…" Sebastian thought over the situation. The I.T man had given them a lot of trouble in the past, but, this would definitely require action.
"We'll have to make sure there are no archived records of the footage, play the normal loop. If this man tries to give us any trouble… it'll be the last time he'll be able to try." Sebastian looked back at Bren.
"And I'm sure if the worst comes to worst, he'll sing our cover story like a little bird. Right?" He reached up to lightly touch Bren's cheek that was opposite to him.
(Damn that I.T. guy)
(Damn that I.T. guy)
((Oof, I should have specified. . .welp!))
Brenn was still confused, and trying to sort out all of his thoughts, trying to understand what was going on his brain. He leaned back again Sebastain, making himself comfortable against the man's chest and was still fidigiting with the stupid leash. I don't get it. I never well. . .what's going on in my brain? It was sort of like something had been turned on in his brain. He never had been interested guy's, at least as far as he'd like to admit to himself. The guy had grown up in a family that had been extremely homophobic, so he often would try to deny and forget any crushes or attraction he had to a male. But for some reason, probably because he was in the boy's lap and he knew that they'd have to do this a lot more from now on, due to the way how this guy just came over for no reason, at least in his mind. When Sebastian referenced him he lifted his head to look at the other man and nodded slightly, "Y-yes?" He said quietly, not exactly sure of his answer, and it was obvious.
Fabian could tell that his welcome was sort of fading, not that he cared too much, when it came to his friends he always overstayed his welcome. But he could tell that the other Sebastian was trying to get the conversation to wind down, "Okay, I'll see what I can do now," He said as he stood up, "I got to get back home okay? Jess is waiting for me and expecting cake, but I'm sure he'll understand." And with that he left the apartment. As soon as the door closed Brenn tried to pull out of the other boy's arms, but it was to no avail.
Sebastian nodded to Fabian and he left, not looking at Been. He finally turned to the man in his lap, a deep shadow over his eyes.
"You know," he said, voice quiet. "You really would have to say you're here of your own choice if your were ever questioned." He held Bren's cheek in his hand, almost glaring at him. Right now, he didn't look anything like the nice, tired man from before. He was someone who could and would easily kill Been. He'd done too much to get himself were here was now for Bren to destroy it all.
Brennon nodded, "I, uhm, a-alright." He mumbled, just wanting to be left alone at that point, "A-and I would then, I just, well you put me on the spot. I wasn't expecting you to say anything to me, so t-that's why I sounded so unsure." He was hoping that the other would believe and understand that, especially since it was mostly true. He wasn't listening to what they had been talking about. So he was a little bit startled by the question, "I-I promise." He said quietly, trying to remove Sebastian's hand from his face, "Could you, uhm, stop touching me, p-please? You friend left, sooo. . ."
