Frances took her notes out and a small notebook. Sometimes she got her inventions ideas during school time and she would quickly jot down some notes and add a quick drawing on how it would probably look. She played around with her pencil as the teacher talked about something. Frances wasn't paying much attention, which was something she was probably going to regret later.
Cassandra took her time at her locker, already knowing that she was going to be late. What was the point of rushing if you were already late? Nowhere. There wasn't one.
She slammed her locker closed, walking towards her classroom. She didn't care if she got in trouble, not in the slightest.
Tenma kepted his eyes glued to his work, turning to avoid interaction with anyone.
"Tenma-"
"What." he shot back without second thought, eyes narrowed into a sour glare.
"…Excuse me?"
He bit back another snarky reply, knowing it'll just get him in more trouble. His brother snickered from the back of the class.
This wasn't gonna end well.
Frances sighed and looked at the teacher. "Can you just hurry this lesson up? We don't have much time left in this classroom, and I can tell you're not even halfway done. So maybe, if you stopped talking to Tenma, you'll finish early, or better yet, on time and this time we won't have to stay here for an extra three or five minutes waiting for you to finish the lesson."
The teacher turned around and looked at Frances, and gave her a dissaproving look. He waked to his desk, grabbed a pink slip, quickly wrote something on it, walked to Frances desk, and gave it to her. Then he walked back to the front of the room and continued the lesson. Frances looked at the pink slip on her desk and sighed. The slip meant she was going to have to go to detention after school. Frances was convinced the teacher hated her.
Amity looked up at the pink slip. "You know there was no real reason to give Frances detention. She's only speaking the truth and by giving her detention when her color is impatience is basically saying you're going to give every student with orange detention. Which you don't. So it shows your so viols hatred of a student when they did nothing wrong" the purple halo above her head grew brighter, a warning to stop acting out from her assigned color
(Quick question: Is there a basic plot, or is it up to us to come up with it? :)
(I didn’t really have a plot, I was just thinking go with the flow :)
"I agree," Elizabeth spoke up, almost immediately regretting it when everyone's eyes turned towards her. "We don't have any control over our colors. Treating her like this isn't fair." She nervously looked up at the teacher, who was looking more tired than annoyed at that point.
He sighed, "Fine."
After taking the slip back, he resumed the lesson, a bit more subdued. Rushing a bit to make up for the wasted time, the bell rang as he assigned their homework.
Tenma groaned,
"This is bullshit! I don't like being an asshole!"
He scuffed his feet down the hall to his locker, Kitsune dawdling behind him,
"Strange, you do it a lot-"
Tenma threw his body in a circle, making direct eye contact with his brother,
"Listen; I'm holding on by a thread. Try some shit like this and I'll cave your skull in."
They stared at each other for a while, before Tenma stalked away fuming. A signature foxkill grin donned Kitsunes face,
"Ah, and it's only Monday."
Frances gathered her stuff and walked out of the classroom surprised. She really wasn't expecting how the class went. People actually stood up for her, which never happened happened before. She shook her head and walked to her locker.
"What the hell happened in there?" She asked herself.
When Cassandra realised that she completely missed her first class, she let out a yell of anger. She hated this halo thing, how you had no choice.
She stomped to her next classed, pissed with herself and the school. She hated anger.
Elizabeth walked to her next class, both earbuds in. Why did she do that? She didn't normally speak up, let alone stand up for someone. One of the mysteries of life I guess… she thought, deciding to ignore it.
Amity shifts her books, thinking. i just went against my color. That’s never happened before…what’s going to happen to me if I do it again… she thought to herself, walking until she bumped into Frances. “Watch it, nitwit.” She then realized who it was and froze. “Sorry…purple…” she explained softly. “Are you ok? After first period?”
Frances shrugged and grabbed her history textbook. She closed the door to her locker and held the book close to herself, almost hugging it.
“Ah. Purple. I see.” She sighed. “I still don’t know. I’m still surprised y’know. Nobody has stand up for me before, so my brain is still processing what happened. And what was all of that back there? You went against your color didn’t you?”
Tenma mumbled something under his breath before brushing passed someone,
"Watch it!" he snapped.
In front of his stood a girl he sorta recognised, her names Cass-something. His eyes were drawn immediately to her halo.
Red.
A mean spirited and an Anger stand in the middle of a school hallway.
The jokes punchline isn't a funny one
Cass glared at this other person. She didn't know his name, but she knew his brother at least. And he was wearing green. Great.
"What do you mean, watch it? You're the one who bumped into me! You should watch where you're going! I don't have time to be stopped by dumb losers like you!"
Amity nods, shifting the books in her arm to nod. “Yeah…I did. I have no clue, but he’s been so mean to you that had to stop. I went against my color but I wasn’t going to let you get detention.”
Tenma laughed in her face,
"Really? Is that all you've got?"
He sighed, eyes down her stance,
"Bigs words for a illiterate slag."
Cassandra's eyes burned and she slapped Tenma, all her strength going into it. It left a clear red mark on the boy's face. "You better watch your mouth, Uyasayo. The shorter I am to you the more pain I can inflict on your shins and dick."
Tenma grinned, almost on par with his brother shit eating mouth,
"I'm not gonna pick a fight with a lady~" he teased,
"After all, I'm supposed to be mean, not outwardly aggressive."
Cassandra glared up at Tenma. "Is it cause you're scared I'll beat you? Huh? You look like you could be easily beaten."
His eyes narrowed, furious,
"What?" he scoffed, "fine, if that's how you wanna play this-"
He grabbed her by the hair and threw her in a circle, watching her stumble to catch her footing,
"Then come and get it!"
Cassandra's quick thinking somehow kicked in and she reached up to grab Tenma's hand. She wasn't strong enough or tall enough to pull him over her, but she could pull herself up to him. Which is what she did. In a quick movement, she used the fact that Tenma had his footings to pull herself up, kicking him in the face.
Amity nods, shifting the books in her arm to nod. “Yeah…I did. I have no clue, but he’s been so mean to you that had to stop. I went against my color but I wasn’t going to let you get detention.”
Frances smiled slightly. "Well, thanks. That was er nice of you."
Frances heard yelling and turned her head to where Tenma and Cassandra were. Green and Red. That wasn't going to end well.
(Ahhh- Im back! Im so sorry!!)
Damn- Zander thought, Trying to colect himself. Looks like red over here is picking fight's… Just how it always is. He though out loud, turning away. "I dont even understand the point of these damn halo's…" Zander Looked at the others and chuckled. "Well, That's red's problem."
Frances found herself agreeing to what Zander said. What was the point of the halos either way? Did they really need the halos or was it some type of mechanism so people could only use one type of emotion every week? What would happen if they went against they're color?
"You know, you're right. I don't understand the point of these stupid halos. Why do we even need them?" Frances mused.
Tenma stumbled back, cradling his bleeding nose,
"Ha! Bitch-" he got halfway through a swing before a teacher caught his arm,
"Right, both of you, Depts, NOW!"
(is that detention? i…..only know what aussie schools are like and if thats not detention i have no idea what it is….)
