Ash shook his head a bit.
"It's exactly the right word. See? It looks amazing on you, and it serves a purpose too." He smiled gently, rubbing Laura's back a bit.
Ash shook his head a bit.
"It's exactly the right word. See? It looks amazing on you, and it serves a purpose too." He smiled gently, rubbing Laura's back a bit.
Laura's face continued to redden, so she buried it in his shoulder.
"A-alright, sir… if you say so." She mumbled, trying not to let the funny feeling in her stomach get to her.
Ash chuckled a bit. He set the mirror down, holding the young girl close to himself.
"I really do. And I believe it too." He smiled softly.
Laura nodded weakly, her face still quite red. She kept her face hidden, trying to relax in his arms.
"T-thank you, sir. But you… you don't have to say that."
"I don't," Ash agreed gently. "But I want to." Ash rubbed Laura's back, holding her close.
Laura sighed softly, nodding a little as she leaned into him.
"A-alright sir…" She mumbled weakly, pulling back with rosy cheeks.
Ash smiled, staying in the closet for now while Laura was still blushing.
"Do you want any more?"
"I- um… I don't need anymore, sir." Laura responded softly, playing with the tips of her hair.
"Right? Or… or do you think I'll need more?"
"You can have as many as you want. And if that's just one, that's okay!" Ash hummed faintly, smiling.
"Um, one… one is fine for now. I'll be alright with it." Laura told him softly, her face starting to go back to normal. Though a little colored remained on her cheeks, making her look more lively than she had all day.
"Okay! Do you want to head back to your room, or do you want to do something else?" Ash hummed, bringing them out of the closet and closing the door behind them.
Laura glanced over to the others, before focusing on Mr. Ash fully.
"I… um, I don't really care…" She offered in a soft tone, starting to play with the folds in his shirt once more.
Ash started off, having back to Laura's room.
"Okay then!" He gave a gentle look.
Laura watched the people starting to disappear, giving a slight wave when they were almost out of the room. She sucked in a deep breath, starting to relax as they left.
"What are we gonna do, sir?"
The last who owned the place looked up, waving back a bit with a gentle smile before they left the room.
"Well, we could play some games together."
"Games?" Laura asked softly, giving him an interested look. She had a soft look on her face, which was more visible with the hair out of her face.
"What kind of games, sir?"
"Well, what kinds of games do you live to play?" Ash stepped into Laura's room, holding her close still.
"Um… I-I don't know, sir." Laura admitted, still holding on tightly to him.
"I… I don't really play much."
Ash nodded, sitting down on the bed and holding Laura in his lap.
"Well, why don't we find out together then?"
Laura looked up at him meekly, the slightest smile pulling up on her lips.
"A-alright sir… how do we do that?" She asked softly, not making an effort to move off his lap.
"Well, we can try some. See which ones you like." Ash smiled back gently, planning his hand on her head.
Laura nodded a little, curling up closer. She smiled still, and started picking at the folds in his shirt.
"Mm, alright sir."
Ash thought a moment, thinking of what games to try first.
"Do you want to try a board game first?"
Laura looked up at him, nodding softly.
"Sure, that sounds alright." She hummed softly, sitting up a little straighter.
Ash smiled, patting Laura's back a bit.
"There should be some in your closet, so we won't have to leave the room." He hummed slightly, shifting to hold Laura again as he stood up.
"What kinds of games are there?" Laura asked softly, letting him scoop her back up. She was plenty happy to be in his arms.
"And how do you play?"
"Well," Ash said. He carried Laura to the closet, opening it and kneeling to see the games at the bottom, "there are games where you go around the board to get to the end first, ones where you put a puzzle together, and some where we try to figure out what the other person is telling us what the card on their head says. They're all played different ways."
"Oh, okay." Laura mumbled, keeping her arms around him as she listened.
"Which one do you think we should play? Do you have one you like?" She asked softly, scanning over the boxes when they came to the closet.
Ash thought a moment, looking through the games.
"Ah! Here's one. I would play it all the time when I was younger." Ash pulled out an older looking game, shoots and ladders.
Laura read over the box, nodding a little when he pulled it out.
"Alright, sir. Looks like fun." She chirped, giving him a gentle smile. She prepared herself to be set down, loosening her hold on him.
