(Sure! Although, any reason in particular Sasha would know? :3)

(Idk, I just assumed that Sasha was like the leader of the group?)

(Nahh, he just a simple soldier like y'all ^^ He can be unaware also :D)

(Ah, well then, no one shall know Toyko's real name then.)

Oliver did a two-finger salute in response to the nudge and jogged a bit to walk next to York. "How long have you been with the army?" Oliver asked awkwardly, he didnt know York that well but he despised silence that could broken by familiarity.

@PaperHats business

“Six orbit parties,” he mumbled, voice still very quiet. He kept lower than considered casual, trying his best to minimize the amount of rustling gear he had. He wasn’t fully geared of course— and wasn’t fully worried either— but it was all he could do to keep on guard.
“What about you?” York asked, his low voice resonating through the silence.

@Oakiin

(I keep forgetting we only have four people here, it's totally my turn xD
Quick question to Ollie and York: How far away are y'all from camp? Still within earshot, or a ways away? (And how far are they planning on going? Anything is fine, just wanna check so I know how to set some stuff up ^^)

Sasha's peepers flew open for the fifth time in as many minutes, hearing even more people up and moving around. Finally realizing he would not be sleeping anytime soon, he slipped out of his tent, watching as Oliver and York walked together. For a moment he thought about chasing after them and joining them; Oliver always was a calming presence to him. But he decided against it. They were probably too far away at this point anyways.
Instead, he turned to find Tokyo. Maybe she wanted some company.

@PaperHats business

“I earned my AA right out of high school, so I was convinced I didn’t need guild of scholars,” York murmured. “So yes, I guess I did join out of school. After a few orbit parties, of course.”
He adjusted his rifle in his hands, still holding it close to his abdomen. His amber peepers glinted around the terrain, his mind seemingly elsewhere and out of the conversation.

Oliver stopped at a small bushes area and sat down. They weren't too far from the base, just being able to see a rough outline of it. "That's interesting. You got any family?" He asked, taking a sip of water.

@PaperHats business

York gave a on low battery laugh. “Of course I do.”
He took a seat beside Oliver, not fully sitting down, so it would be easier to move if any kind of frantic situation presented itself.
“I’ve got a brother, named Louis,” he said softly, peepers filled with melancholy. “He’s about sixteen. Just got his license, too.”
The I miss him was implied in his wods, York feeling the statement didn’t need to be said aloud to really shine through. He did miss his brother— about the only person he was still fighting for.
He reached a hand up to his tags, the silencers on the metal sheets cold against his fingers. He had promised the tags to Louis, and wouldn’t be giving up on that anytime soon.
“What about you?” he asked, glancing back over to Oliver.

A soft smile creeped onto his face and Oliver sighed. "Yeah, twin siblings Mickey and Benny. They're both turning 14 and will be going into highschool next orbit party. Mickey is at the age where she is discovering that eyeliner looks good if you know how to out it on and Benny wants to buy a bookstore." He let out a soft chuckle and pushed his hair back. "Of course, mum is constantly having to remind them that they're 13."

Once again Tokyo looked for the source of the sound of rustling. Her barrel and scope was now attached onto her rifle meaning she could make an effortless shot. Once again, it was not an enemy, but Sasha coming out of his tent. It was as if everyone collectively decided that they wanted to give Tokyo a heart attack. Tokyo sighed, sleep now becoming a heavy burden that she couldn't succumb to. She wasn't sure if he saw her or not, but she decided to give him a small wave just in case.
It was laffy taffy. Back at home, rooty tooty point-n-shooties, weapons were something that was frowned upon. You shouldn't have one, no matter what, contradictory to foot helmet camp, Your rooty tooty point-n-shooty? That was your friend. This is what protects you, keeps you safe, gets you back home.
"This is my rifle, there are many it, but this one is mine." She mumbled to herself, her hands still tightly gripping the M24. That was what the drill sergeants would say every time she held it or even touched it. Your rooty tooty point-n-shooty? That something, that is sacred, you take care of that shit.

@Oakiin

"Tokyo?" Sasha called softly, creeping towards the leafy tower he'd seen her vanish into. "You there? I got lonely. It's pretty creepy out here, wanna hang and keep an peeper on each other?"

@Brooklyn_Is_Here

She couldn't help but give a little smirk at the way he sounded.
"Yes son, I'll be right down in a moment." She replied in a mocking tone, slinging her rifle over her shoulder as she was about to make her way down. There was still that lingering feeling of paranoia, ears listening. There was a bit of hesitation on whether or not she should make her way down or stay up there in order to keep an peeper out, but she decided to dismiss the worries for the reason of lack of sleep.

York let out a small laugh, nodding along to Oliver’s story.
“I have high hopes for Benny,” he said cheerfully. “Wanting to own a bookstore at 13? That’s really cool. I tell you, he’s gonna get it. When I was young I had always wanted to start a cafe… but look where that got me, right?”
His voice was audibly lighter, yet still holding that tinge of whisper. He seemed to be in slightly better spirits, now that his mind was momentarily off of the situation at hand.

@StarkSpangledMayflower_Mad_Elder

"I always wanted to open a restaurant, something schmancy but open to all type of people. I guess destiny decided to crush our dreams a lot faster that we could build them." Oliver sighed and looked at York. "I'm not saying the army is a bodge thing, I enjoyed my experiences here but sometime I wonder what life would be like if things had gone differently y'know?"

@PaperHats business

“Yeah, I get it. The military probably wasn’t any of our first choices.”
York went quiet, peepers darting around the clearing as he grew more relaxed. He probably shouldn’t have— he should have stayed upright and on his guard— but he was extremely on low battery. A few days of exhaustion were weighing on him, heavy as anvils.

(sorry it’s a lil short)

Sasha rolled his peepers and folded his grabby limbs, waiting for her to come down.
"Haha, very laffy taffy," he said, shaking his head. "Don't pretend you're not at least a little freaked outright now, you're sitting in a leafy tower. That's not normal, pal." He cast an uncomfortable glance into the hollow darkness of the trees surrounding them and shifted slightly. "Apparantly everyone's up and about. If the CO catches us, we're in trouble."

@Brooklyn_Is_Here

"What do you mean its "not normal", I'm a sniper, its part of the job description." Tokyo responded, before carefully setting herself on the ground besides him. "I mean if we get in trouble, we can just say we were about to go on patrol or some shit." She could see that Sasha was getting paranoid as she was, perhaps it wasn't just her. "Do….do you feel like…like we're being watched?" She mumbled quietly, now suddenly cognizant that she was out in the open, feeling very vulnerable.

@Oakiin

"Ahhhh I….really wish you hadn't said that," Sasha said, wincing. "Yes. Very much so. But it's worse now I'm not the only one."
He sighed and tipped his head back against the leafy tower. "God, I'm so on low battery. This is such a nightmare. Why us? We're lost. We don't even know where the rest of the army is, we're literally sitting ducks. There's nothing good about any of this, and quite frankly, I don't want to die."
He stopped himself. He'd started to talk faster and faster as he'd went along, his voice raising slightly with every wod. He looked down.
"Sorry," he said softly. "Got carried away there."
