Mine is a sequel to my last nano project. It picks off where the last one left off which was with the 4 main characters arriving at this safe haven. Basically, things are going well for a little bit, then one day they find out that the group of antagonists knows about this safe haven, but doesn't really know where it is. Theres kind of 2 main storylines; the first one involves one character being sent out to spy on the antagonists to figure out whats going on with them and the other involves the remained of the characters trying to weed out a traitor. I'm really excited for it :D

Alright. I came up with this year's story 10 minutes ago. So this girl, I haven't given her a name yet, we're gonna call her Ice Spirit because she's an ice spirit. She's lived on an Iceberg her whole life with her mother, who may or may not be Mother Nature. I dunno. But it's sort of a Mother Gothel-type situation. But then one day something (I dunno what yet, I thought of this 10 minutes ago) washes up on the iceberg and shes like "oh frick there's a whole fricking world" so she swims 10 miles to a ship (she's an immortal ice spirit, so. It works) and stows away, getting off at the first stop. This is where Fae Person lives. Ice Spirit likes books. Fae Person works at a book store. You know where this is headed. They fall in love, but Mother Nature is hella protective and kidnaps Ice Spirit back to the iceberg. It's very dramatic.
Please tell me if this idea is absolute shite so I don't regret writing it.

It could work, but only if it has some minor conflicts sprinkled throughout to keep it interesting.

Lol same. Mine is one I've been working on on and off for like…three years. So.

I kind of have a basis of an idea right now.

So we have these ‘kaiju’ shifters, people that can take on the form of Kaiju. Or kaiju taking on the form of humans. It’s really unknown about where kaiju shifters come from in the story, if they’re manmade, natural, or from off-world. Anywho shifting between forms is a lot of energy and most shifters take on a human form. It’s also pretty destructive when one shifts. There aren’t that many shifters either, but it seems like a lot more since those living in larger areas will have ‘sectors’ where they all gather in. There are certain areas shifters aren’t allowed to be in. Like there might be a sign on a store, saying “no shifters allowed.” And a lot of people tend to fear them. Not all humans, though. There’s mixed opinions of course.

Most shifters have this tattoo that identifies them. This is a tattoo forced on their human form, so ‘normal humans’ can see whether or not they’re human. Other times they wear armbands with special insignias, which aren’t limited to the arm - it can be worn as a headband, necklace, etc. A lot of shifters dislike both options.

A few years before the main story a shifter gets tired of it all and launches a rebellion which fails very quickly. It’s mostly forgotten, but a new ‘shifter group’ uncovers the articles, all of the concepts. A lot of them get twisted this time, like for example the concept back then was for kaiju shifters to be treated equally, but some shifters see themselves as superior and the next step in humanity.

I guess it’s a bit political which all the different viewpoints, you got the humans; some support kaiju, some dislike them, and some fear them, others just don’t care. Then the shifters, some want equal rights, others want to get revenge, some are just like “guys please stop I don’t want a civil war”
It’s got a fair bit of action as well and things quickly spiral downhill for a lot of people in the story within the first few chapters I have planned.

No idea where the story will take place yet, I do know it’s somewhere in the future though in terms of when.

This is all I have so far

I have an idea for my NaNoWriMo this year. It was a work in progress from last year and this year it finally got finished.

Basically we have a group of kids who were stolen from their parents. Meaning their parents and families were killed. These kids were trained as assassins and quickly became the very best.

10 years pass and the kids are all grown up, ranging from ages 18-21. During this time, a new assassin from one of the top guilds is brought to join the group. Some times passes and this new assassin falls in love with one of her victims. She manages to hide that her victim has been kept alive for all this time until the day of The Mission.

The group, which is known as the Cubs, is told to go on a mission. In this mission they discover that this enemy guild, lets call it RF had files for each of them and that this so called mission was a way for them to leave the RG and be killed without suspicion.

Once they learn about their fate, they escape just as the RF's guild blows up and the enemy assassins come to collect their bodies. They catch them escaping and attack them there. That's when two of the members gets hit by poison arrows and just before one dies, she tells them where her lover is, the victim she didnt kill. They manage to track him down and tell him what happened.

The Cubs vow revenge and manage to get themselves to another members hidden bunker. In this bunker, they plan out their whole plan, how they are going to bring down their old guild, let's call it BC. During their time at the bunkers they decide to send 3 of the Cubs to BC to spy on them. There, they get caught and all three of them get tortured to the point where one practically loses his mind, and the other two just rely on each other. One of the two is released with a slow acting poison on her blood. She is sent to give a message to the Cubs, BC doesnt play games.

The messenger arrives, delievers her message and manages to relay the story of their failed stakeout and painfully dies. The remaining Cubs, now 4 at this point, decided to get revenge for their fallen friends and create a plan. In that time, the two tortured members return but only one, the female, survives.

(Theres more to the story but I have only this much time to type that out.)
