i have a question..what does law of physics mean and technology mean when asked with the promts?
Hi @autumnhope ! Those prompts are probably asking you about your universe.
Laws of physics: these are the ‘rules’ regarding what can happen. In our world we have stuff like how gravity works, how things move, and that we can’t get something from nothing (need fuel to make cars run, need wood/oxygen to make fire burn, need food to grow taller, need to push a trolley to make it roll, etc.) These will probably be mostly the same in your universe unless you’re changing things and adding magic or light speed or other fantastical stuff that doesn’t operate according to current Earth science.
Technology: This would be the tools and machines used in your world - your characters might be cavemen who have just figured out what a wheel is, or a highly futuristic society that have robots that look and act exactly like humans, or anything in between! This section is helpful if your world is anything other than Earth 2019, as it can help you work out what people can do. Books would only be cheap if your world has some kind of printing press invented, for example, and if it’s set before mobile phones were common, campers in the woods probably can’t ring an ambulance when an emergency strikes.
If your world has any special tools or machines, this is a handy place to talk about them as well. But feel free to disregard any of the prompts if they’re not helpful to your worldbuilding. They’re just a tool. 😊
Helpful! Thank you!

How do you make spoilers?
Like, where it hides some of the text unless you click it, for spoilers or sensitive content?
< spoiler > insert text < / spoiler >
Without the spaces, like so:
Hi!
Quick question: is there any way i can talk with an specific user like in private? Or with many users like in a chat?
Sorry, i'm new and a little confused
Yep! You just have to click on their username and below the "actions" box there is a "send a message" option, you just click on that and proceed to send your message ;)
I've tried it but there's like an option that says "participants" and i don't know what i'm supposed yo put there xd
I've tried to put my friends' names but it doesn't work
I think you gotta put an @ sign before the names, give that a try
The names of the people you are trying to put in a group chat may have characters (symbols and the like) that may be invalid so that may also be a problem, they could change their usernames if that's the case
But besides this, the names should pop up as soon as you start typing them in the participants box, all you gotta do is click on them
Who can i know their names (or even my own name) are invalid? :,)
How about this,
Trata de hacer que los otros participantes cambien sus nombres or "edit" y haci pueden ver cual es el que tiene el nombre "invalido"
Sorry, im just really bad at explaining stuff sometimes
Thanks, i'll try it! < 3
cool, alrighty! and no problemo !
One other note: since usernames are optional, some people you're trying to message might not have set one yet. If that's the case, you can visit their Notebook.ai profile and click "Send a message" there and it should pre-fill the participants field for you so you won't need to worry about it. :)
Sorry to bother everyone but I am totally blanking; how do you change/add a profile picture?

Hi @FanfictionFanatic ! To add a profile picture you'll need to have a Gravatar account, using the same email that is connected to your Notebook.ai account–that's where you can upload or change your picture. You can find a link if you go to your profile page and click on the spot where your picture would go.
Oh! Thanks!
Is there a way to look up a username? Sorry if you’ve answered this before!
@The_White_Wolf If you know someone's username, you could just go directly to their profile by visiting notebook.ai/@username.
For example, I'm https://www.notebook.ai/@andrew
How would I embed a link to a specific word? For example, the word "this".
You mean like this
You use [ ] brackets around the word and put the site you want to link in ( ) parentheses immediately after the closing bracket, no space in between.
(I just used Google for a link here)
You surround the word/words you want to add a link to like [this] () but without the space between
Then paste your link into the parentheses, like this (https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/960853699233389120/4B432718C448BF9F8AEC1F26CD14367F8859CD37/)
The following keyboard controls are supported across Notebook.ai. All keyboard controls are disabled when editing a document or notebook page.
