Why are some words and phrases highlighted in blue? Is this a thing on notebook or might there be something weird on my computer?

@typoAdventure

Hey, so, you know all of those categories you can change in the default editor thing? There are certain categories that link other pages to a one, for example, you can use “Technologies” -> “Add technologies” -> clicking on one of your technologies to link it to a character’s page through that character page. I was wondering, is there any way to change the type of page linked? What if I wanted to link a magic instead of a technology? Or if I wanted to make a new category to link to one such magic, while keeping a technology tab?

This is similar to a question I have. How can I reset my "Locations" page so that it goes back to the generic pre-made sheet? I changed it for a specific location, but decided the location would work better as a technology. But now my Locations page has pieces missing and I can't remember what the linked tabs were named under Cities. Plus, I deleted one of the sub-tabs that I can't add again because I can only add "text" sub-tabs.

Hey @RobinBlade, we don't actually have any spoiler-specific tags for documents (yet?), but that's a good idea. I'll make sure it gets added to the roadmap somewhere and prioritized accordingly.

In the meantime, one thing you could do is copy and paste in already-formatted text. For example, if you opened another editor like Google Docs (or maybe Microsoft Word) and wrote some text and set the text color to white (or set the background color to black), I think you should be able to copy and paste that text into a Notebook.ai editor to work somewhat like a spoiler – you wouldn't be able to see the text at first, but if you highlighted the text it would reveal itself. There are some oddities with pasting already-formatted text in documents, though, so I would give it a shot in a test document first!

I'm not sure if that's helpful, but might be the closest thing to a spoiler tag in documents we have right now. I'll see what I can add that'd be better to use in the future!

@RobinBlade

Thanks for considering adding it to documents (I'm writing my characters' TV Tropes but I'd like to hide spoilers), however in the meantime I'm gonna try some of the tricks you suggest, thanks for the help!

Is there a way to save preexisting documents to a new folder?

Yep! If you click on a document in your list of documents (in any folder or not), you'll get a popup with information about that document. From there, there's a dropdown of all your folders that you can select where you want to move it to.

Looks like this:

It'll autosave any time you make a change, so if you just select a folder there you should then find that existing document in its new folder.

Not sure if this is the right spot to ask this, but I’m going for it anyway.

So, is there a way to add someone to a pre-existing PM? Or do you have to make a new PM thread? I’ve been stumped on this for a few days now.

Right now, participants are locked when new PM threads are created, so to add new people to a thread you'll have to create a new one.

This might change in the future because it's been a requested feature a few times now, but since we use a third-party library for the forums, it's largely up to them to add new functionality. I pass feedback along to them, though.

Speaking of PMs… Is it possible to delete one that you didn't create or is dead because one party deleted their account? Honestly, I only have a couple that fit into the latter but I have… more PMs than I want that I didn't ask for and didn't know the person who PMed me.

Ah okay. Thank you.

I don't know where to fit this, exactly, but here goes:

The "Currently Online" feature of Notebook.ai seems to be broken. Most of the time, it lists nobody but you as currently online. Occasionally, this seems to be at least temporarily fixed, but it keeps happening and I'm not sure why. Could you help me figure this out?
