(Alright. Let's Do This.)
She took the stabby stick and she
Dragged it up my left thigh
I looked at her and I
Saw bloodlust in her peepers

I know that I might not
Make it out of here alive
But if I die then I
Wanna die with you the night after last night
I won’t cry cause I
Know that’s exactly what you want
But if I die then I
Wanna die with you the night after last night

There’s human syrup on my chest
I’m just a mess
I run back to you
Every time
Because you’re mine

Here comes the messed up writer who writes poems that turns into songs

@croccin-champagne

((Skksks here have this

I was young when I gave up on love
I was young when I watched it
Ruin lives all around me
I was young when I realized
It would just cause me pain
That's when I gave up on love

Didn't care much for romantic movies
Didn't care much for love songs too
Had a hole in my heart
I could never seem to fill
And then I met you

You came around
Turned my world upside down
And I sat down and wrote this for you

So raise a glass
To you and I
Faces turned up to the sky
Took a couple broken hearts
To lead me straight to you

So tell me
Are you worth the heartbreak
Are you worth the pain

Raise a glass to you and I
Just another couple
Stars in the sky

And I'm holdin' on tight
Hopin' you don't let me down
I don't think you'll let me down

((Spoiler alert, I was, in fact, 'let down'.))

@SaltyLasagna

Broo that's bee's leghinges!! I wish I could write lyrics like that lmao

And I kinda suck at both lyrics and music, but at least I can use the circle of fifths for chords

i don't think you know
how much i try
to go with the flow
i'm trying not to cry.

You wanna know Why?
Well the answer is this:
We cover ourselves
with ignorance and bliss.

It's not to ignore
it's not to be missed
for sake of discussion
and how hard this hits.

Could it be we use
a new point of view
tied around us like a noose
used to hide the truth?

I'm pretty new to this but I find that talking to songwriters always help inspire my work. Anyone got something they want help with

Definitely. I'm having trouble with making lyrics flow together nicely. I usually only write freestyle poetry because I like to use the exact wods that I want to describe something. I don't like changing them to make wods flow together, I feel like it changes the meaning of the song, and sometimes makes the lyric sound basic and ridiculous.
