“You know, when I entered that castle, I was not expecting THIS.”

"What were you expecting?"

“To be thrown into an asylum.” Reed said flatly

"Why?" Asked Firiko, slightly surprised.

“I came in raving about the fact that I had ‘seen’ something dangerous. Most people don’t like that too much.”

"Bro.." said Firiko, "Try walking in and saying your usually friendly twin brother has gone insane…"

Reed laughed quietly. “Life is crazy.”

"Yes it is" said Firiko

“The last time I was in that castle, I had just been arrested.”

"What for?"

“Illegal hunting.” Reed said, then added under his breath, “Not of animals.”

"What?!"

“It was necessary!” Reed said defensively.

"What for?!"

“To keep my friends and my- and my partner alive.” Reed said breathlessly. “And At one point, my family.”

Firiko went silent, thinking about this new info. "Sorry to hear that" he said softly.

“I failed with my family. And, eventually, my partner’s brother got killed.”

Firiko went silent after that. Waiting til sunset as he pondered this new info on his companion.

That was too much you idiot, Reed thought to himself. He missed his friends more than ever right now.
