Jen rolled his eyes as her fussing. Were girls always like this?? "Yeah alright chill I won't shoot if you don't shoot" He said grabbing his backpack and shoving his metal bat in, then zipping it up the best he could. After throwing it on he marched towards the front of the store where the entrance was, Remington 870 in hand.
Victory nodded and crouched on the ground, immediately taking off her backpack and starting to fill it with anything edible that she could find. Winnie wagged her tail happily, running around the store to see if there was anything interesting. Beans, soup…a bag of chips..beef jerky! She grinned triumphantly and shoved the bag of jerky into her bag, moving onto the next aisle.
Luna barks urgently and Velius looks up. "Yes, girl?" He calls gently, glancing at her. She whines anf barks again, sniffing at the air. That could mean two things. One, she smelled enemies and they were close. Or she could smell food. Or it could be both. Velius slips his knife in to his hand. "Let's go." He creeps forward, unsure and guarded. Luna wasn't wagging her tail, so he had to be extra cautious.
Hush watched the people inside for a minute. They didn't look hostile. She stood up, opened the door, and went for the remaining food.
Jen looked back at the girl from where he was standing which was by the door, guarding it in case anything happened. He noticed her smile when she found some beef jerky, without realizing it he was pouting like a little kid. Jen is a sucker for people who have the same interests as him, whether it be food or clothes. He forced himself to look away and out into the deserted street through the door, then suddenly someone opened the door and he by nearly shot his gun at however it was. Thank god I saw her before I did anything He thought as his heart pounded in his chest. He glared at the person who entered, wanting to yell at her for just barging in so suddenly without at least alerting them that she wasn't a threat but decided against it when he saw her tired quiet gloomy nature.
Victory went through the next few aisles, talking some more assorted food and shoving it into her bag. She grabbed her gun and sat down in the far corner of the store, whistling for Winnie and scanning the store carefully.
Velius sees a store and creeps towards it. He sees a man standing there. "Hello?" He calls, praying to anything at the moment that it was not someone he had to shoot down. He was exhausted, and Luna looked ready to collapse. He placed a hand on her head as they walk towards the store at a slow pace.
Jen was lost in thought, wondering if whether he should walk out and continue his quest to find his little sister or stay in the store for protection. He had his Remington 870 and he could shoot down any infected he saw. He pressed his lips into a thin line as he frowned slightly. "Ah fuck it," he said as he walked out of the store. Shortly after he had walked out, he heard someone call out and immediately got on guard with his gun. He saw a guy coming towards him with what looked like a dog. "Oh, maybe I shouldn't shoot?" He asked himself as if it wasn't obvious enough that the guy wasn't infected. He slowly drew his gun down and stood there waiting for the man to reach him.
Victory heard the guy leave the store and she smiled lightly, letting Winnie lay down at her feet and fall asleep. "What do we do now?" She asked her dog, "I need to sleep but I don't trust that guy.." She flicked her safety on and off as she looked around. Finally she sighed and took a piece of wire out of her pocket, twisting it and making a small wire person.

Velius glances at the male. "Infected or safe?" He calls cautiously. He was tense, nervous. He didn't want to deal with anymore infected. He winces, his ankle still wrapped from getting attacked and thrown, spraining his ankle. He trembles, he had been walking all day, and his wounds… He sighs. He needed a break. Desperately.
Jen throws his hands up with his gun still in hand in a way to show that he was all clear. "As far as I know I think I'm still good," He said as he noticed the guy's slight limp. "If you want you can go in, there are two others in there. As for me…well…" Jen said looking away, still thinking about his decision. "I'll be leaving." He said, a slight waver to his voice as if he wasn't sure if he should go through with it because thinking on it further there were so many things that could go wrong. He could actually die. He shivered at the thought but his expression remained calm.
"It's not exactly the wisest idea to go alone. I've got Luna. But I don't know about being alone." He chuckles, moving forward. "Are you looking for something or someone?" He asked curiously, stopping in front of the male. "My name is Velius. It's been a while since I've seen someone that's safe." He chuckles.
Jen raised an eyebrow at the guy's slight concern. "Yeah no, I was thinking on that. I might stay the night. I'll probably be gone by the morning if I do." He tensed a bit as the guy got closer. He hadn't had human contact in a while, so for someone to get close to him it made him want to take a step back but resisted the urge to do so, playing it off cool. "Yeah I'm actually going to my parent's house to see if they're alright" he lied, sounding a bit uncomfortable as he mentioned his parents. He wasnt quite sure why he had lied. Probably because he thought it was more normal for a person to say that kind of thing instead of saying he was going to look for his nine year old sister instead of his family. He realized he had been avoiding eye contact with the guy and immediately snapped out of his thoughts when the guy introduced himself. He made eye contact with the guy as he spoke. "Cool, my name's Jenestder" he said in a nonchalant tone, he held his hand out to shake the guy's hand, something he would have done in the past. He froze. Then awkwardly retracted it, as if he changed his mind. It was the damn apocalypse for crying out loud and here was, formally introducing himself to a stranger like a wealthy buisnessman. The thought made him want to gag but instead forced out an uncomfortable laugh which sounded fake as hell.
(sorry guys i'm going to have to drop out :P)
Velius tilts his head before glancing at Luna and shrugging. She whines softly before perking and starting to growl, glaring at something on the other side of the shop. She barks lowly, the hairs on her silly but dirty back bristling with anger and fear. Instantly, Velius grabbed his gun, his eyes searching the growing dark. "Mate. I'd recommend moving." He nudged his head to the side before taking a wary step forward, his breathing low and panicked. He gulps softly before glancing at Luna. Her eyes were locked on something in the shadows and he didn't like it. He couldn't see what his dog was seeing.
(Hey guys I might not be on in a few days so I won't be able to continue for the time being, but I'll be back, just don't know when though sorry)
Jen flinches when Velius goes to grab his gun. Instinctively he reaches for his own as well and turns around, stepping aside in the process. His eyes scan the area for any possible threats. "What is it? The Infected?" Jen slightly whispers with an awfully calm voice as if he had everything under control.
Luna barks sharply and Velius tenses, hearing a faint and bone chilling, electrifying moan. He didn't ease. It sounded like one. But he couldn't be sure. He takes a deep breath. "Luna." He orders softly. Luna keeps her eyes trained on the dark.
"Nope, that's it." Jen, with his gun in hand, walks towards the darkness slowly. He glances back at Velius, but as soon as he got close enough he saw the infecfed, a total of three coming their way and a few a bit far behind them. Maybe they had made too much noise and had attracted them to the place. Jen curses, he had planed to stay but now he had to fight more of these freaks.
Velius gulps lowly. He nods to Luna who walks beside Jen. Velius takes a wider birth, going by the side to see how many there were. All together about five. He takes aim with his sniper and nails one in the head. The infected stop moving, growling and shrieking. He swears softly.
As soon as Jen sees Velius take aim at one and sees that the others went wack, he wastes no time and drops his Remington, whipping out his metal baseball bat. He charges head on like an idiot towards the rest of the infected and swings his bat surprisingly accurate to their weak points. He takes down three of them before getting caught up with the last one, having slowed down to catch his breath.
Velius shot down one, impressed with Jens guts. He whistles sharply and Luna barks. He brushes some hair from his, before seeing one of the infected going for Jen from the behind. The bullet roars through the air and bullseye. He looks around, no more. He leaps down from his spot. "You alright?" He asks, setting a hand on Lunas head as he looks over the other.
After struggling with the last one, which Vel had shot down, Jen groans loudly and falls back in a sitting position, looking at the infected around him. "Yeah, yeah, I'm cool. Just need a minute to catch a break" After a few minutes of silence he looks up at Veilus. "That was really cool, your aim was on point, props to you man" Jen was genuinely impressed with the guy.
"When you've been shooting since you were six, you learn a few tricks." He places his sniper on his back before glancing at Jen. "You're not to shabby yourself with that bat of yours." He chuckles softly. He offers his hand to Jen, smiling genuinely. Luna wags her tail and she barked in agreement. "Good girl Luna." He hand her a small bit of meat.
Jen side smiles and shakes his head, the way he charged in there was kinda reckless but nonetheless, he enjoyed it. He grabs Velius' hand and steadies himself as he's pulled up. He dusts his jeans and glances at Luna. "I like your pet, don't see one of those around here too often" He jokes. "So, where are you headin' from here? Is there a specific place you're heading or are you wandering around aimlessly like me?" The only reason Jen had said he was wandering around aimlessly was because he wasn't sure if he wanted to go back to his parent's house. The more he thought about it the more anxious and stressed he got, just thinking about the possibility of finding his sister turned into an infected zombie-like thing.
""I found her when she was a pup. She's been with me ever since." He chuckles, patting her head. "Course, I didn't know she was a wolf at the time." Luna nuzzles her snout into his hand. He chuckles. "She's helped me a lot." He glances at Jen. "Wandering. I'm trying to survive best I can." His blue eyes glint lightly. He was a very mellow person, seeming rather at ease. He glances at the sky, "but I do know where I need to go. The north. It's supposed to be safer then here."
Victory listened to the fight going on outside, not surprised or confused at all. She sighed and shoved the piece of wire that she was playing with back in her pocket before picking her gun up and petting Winnie softly. "C'mon girl, let's go check out the damage.." She stood up and her dog woke up, following after her as she walked out of the store.
Luna perked and barked again, before whining softly. Velius looks up, his sniper ready. But Luna begins to wags her tail, looking rather excited as she trots to where Winnie and Victory where. He glances at Jen before looking at Victory. "Infected or Safe?" He calls.
Winnie barked happily, her tail wagging as she walks over to Luna. "Safe," she called to the new person, walking over with her hands resting on her gun. She was ready to shoot but tried to act like she was completely calm.
Jen smiles warmly. "Must be nice to have a companion, you'll never be truly alone" He watches Velius pat Luna, also listening to what he has to say. "Yeah, the south sounds great…" He trails off as he sees Victory come out of the store with her dog, he looks away.
