"Alright, if you say so…" Beau got off of Alex's lap and grimaced a bit, trying to stand up as straight as he could despite how much it hurt. "I-I've never been to a human doctor before."
"Alright, if you say so…" Beau got off of Alex's lap and grimaced a bit, trying to stand up as straight as he could despite how much it hurt. "I-I've never been to a human doctor before."
Alex stood up a second later, placing a hand on Beau's back, "It'll be fine. Do you need me to carry you?"
"N-No… I'm fine…" (Translation: Yes please I think I'm dying lol) Beau started to walk back to the entrance of the park, subconsciously wrapping his wings around himself as a sign of mild distress. (Yeaaaaah mannerisms)
Alex frowned again, "Hey, kitten can you stop for a second?"
Beau stopped and curled his wings tighter around himself, looking down at the ground in front of him. "Y-Yeah…?" He asked nervously, already pretty sure what Alex was going to say.
Alex didn't say anything. He just walked the rest of the way up to Beau and picked him up bridal style, making sure to be careful of the angel's wings.
"H-Hey! Woah!" Beau was a bit surprised, even though he was already sort of expecting this. He felt inclined to hold on to Alex for stability, but couldn't currently bring himself to stop clutching his stomach. He carefully folded his wings so they wouldn't get in Alex's way.
"I'll carry you home and then we'll drive to the doctors." Alex said, his tone leaving no room for argument.
"Er… alright…" Beau kept quiet on the way home and almost would've fallen asleep if it weren't for the small bumps in the sidewalk. As careful and gentle as Alex was being, there was no way for Beau to remain absolutely still. While he didn't fall asleep, he did zone out for a good while and snapped back to the real world when Alex put him in the passenger seat of the car and buckled him in.
"Sorry." Alex said gently. He kissed Beau's forehead before he shut the door and headed round to the drivers seat. He climbed in, bucked up and started the car.
"H-How far away is the hospital?" Beau asked quietly, already looking out the window. Him being in pain didn't change the fact that he liked watching out the window when they were in the car.
"'Bout twenty minutes depending on the traffic," Alex replied, focusing back on the road, "Take a nap, kitten. You look like you need it and then you wont be thinking of the pain."
"Alrighty…" Beau closed his eyes and eventually managed to fall lightly asleep. Soon enough, they arrived at the hospital and Beau opened his eyes. He looked out the window and noticed they had stopped. "Are we here?"
Alex nodded, putting the car in park and unbuckling. He came round to Beau's side and unbuckled him before picking him up once more, shutting the door with his foot.
Beau accepted that this was happening and just let Alex carry him in. He was vaguely aware of Alex briefing the receptionist on what had happened and then sitting down to wait.
Alex had placed Beau on his lap, not wanting to break contact with him. The doctor should be here soon but Alex wasn't going to stop worrying until his angel was no longer in pain.
"S-Shouldn't you get checked out too? He cut you as well…" Beau nestled his head on Alex's shoulder, shivering ever so slightly. These places are so cold and dreary…
Alex wrapped his arms further around Beau, tucking him safely in his arms, "I'm fine, my wound doesn't feel that bad but if it makes you feel better then I will."
"I wanna make sure you're okay.. I-I think I'm just lucky I didn't break any bones. Angels have hollow bones, so we're sort of delicate sometimes…" Beau shifted his arm and winced slightly. After a minute or two, they were called back into a room.
Alex carried Beau into the back room and placed him gently down onto a small bed. He sat on a chair next to him.
The doctor walked in after a couple of minutes and asked Beau to remove his shirt. He did, revealing the blood stained bandages underneath. The doctor unwrapped the bandages so he could see the wounds, and Beau winced as he did so, tightening his grip on Alex's hand. The main cut on his chest was deep enough to see his ribs through, and one or two more were as well. All the others weren't severe, though.
The doctor told them that Beau would need stitches for the main would and would need quite a few of them. Because the wound was so deep and sensitive, they'd have to put him under to do so.
Beau was pretty nervous about this since he'd never been under anesthesia before, and he wasn't sure how it would react with his body. The doctor asked him how much he weighed so they would know how much anesthesia they could give him, and Beau told him he was about seventy to seventy five pounds. He soon came back and put the mask on Beau, who gave one last nervous look in Alex's direction before falling asleep. (Alex is allowed to stay in the room btw)
(Cool)
Alex held Beau's hand during the entire procedure. The doctor stitched him up pretty quickly, making sure the wound was clean and would heal properly and quickly. He placed a bandage over the wound, making sure it was tight before deeming Beau was good. They took him to a private room, which Alex paid extra for.
After about half an hour, Beau woke up. He seemed dazed and confused (and high Lmao), but he seemed to recognize Alex. "Alllllexxxx…" He said in a slurred voice, smiling and hugging the demon. "I love you… wherever have you taken me? I've fallen a long way from heaven… What are these?" He asked, examining the bandages on his chest.
