(I’m, personally, in love with dark stories. Yes I’m interested and now I’m starting to understand what you mean by ‘too many roleplays to reply to’ ( • •”) )
Jack o’ Lantern let out a pained cry, falling on the floor with his bombs still at hand. Thankfully, they did not detonate.
Evelyn, noticing this, allowed the darkness to once again be transferred to Zeke’s body. She had untied most of the hostages, well, all but one. The remaining one was a boy who looked like he was around seven or eight.
”Alright, I’ll get you ou—“ Lynn’s words were cut short by a pistol barrel pressed against her head. Eyeing who it was, she saw the glorious purple hair of Wisteria.
”Good afternoon… dear…”
(Speaking of a dark and messed up roleplay, are you interested in joining my newest roleplay? I know you don’t usually do mature stuff but you might be interested in the storyline? It’s called “Be Our Guest” in here, the Limited section. You might wanna read through the notes first though, just curious XP)
(All of the stories I write are usually pretty dark in some way, shape, or form, because darkness is great. My roleplays are generally bit lighter just because some people are more explicit than I am. I don't mind dark, I just try to avoid vulgar things if I can. But yes, the RP thing is a struggle. I currently have like 16 or 17, and right now there are 10 notifications staring at me with disappointment XD)
Zeke's eyes grew wide, and panic nearly stopped his heart when he saw Wisteria's gun against Evelyn's head. He pulled his own gun out and pointed it at Wisteria, though he was too afraid she'd shoot Evelyn if he came any closer. And there was no way he could teleport faster than a bullet could go through poor Evelyn. "Shoot her and I'll blow your brains out," he threatened, narrowing his eyes. Shadows swirled around him, aroused involuntarily by his anger and internal stress levels. "Actually, no. Shoot her and I'll make you wish I'd blown your brains out."
(Oh yes I will most certainly give it a look! :3)
Evelyn couldn’t move and the boy in front of her was equally as scared as she was, trembling in fear.
”Why?” Lynn asked, Wisteria raising an eyebrow.
”Why did you this to these people?”
”Heh… you won’t understand dear. Business is a critical topic to talk around here. And to show how serious I am about the business around here, just remember that I hired two villains to be my secretaries” she answered, looking once at Zeke.
”So… she means a lot to you…?” she nudged the pistol hard onto Lynn’s head, giving her a clear headache. ”Would be a shame if her head was to be blasted, right?” she asked.
Zeke scowled behind his mask, tensing up, his finger hovering precariously against the trigger. "Would be a shame if someone ripped out your heart and shoved it down your throat, right? Don't think I won't kill you slowly and painfully if you shoot her," he warned darkly, not really caring if sounded malicious or not. Because right now, he was malicious. Evelyn's life was on the line. He'd rip this woman apart if he could get close enough. His heart pounded a thousand miles and hour, and the shadows seemed to grow more intense with as adrenaline pumped through his veins. "I'm not a hero. Since you aren't either, I won't have a single problem with watching you suffer. And I most certainly don't make empty threats."
Wisteria gave a surprised expression before smiling. That grin quickly turned to a laugh.
”THAT has gotta be one of the most absurd things I’ve ever heard you said, Nighty” she smiled maniacally.
”You? Fighting for justice? In your dreams really” she stated clearly her stance.
”With that said…” she turned back to Evelyn, finger on trigger ”…goodnight dear” she said, pressing on the trigger and…
”Hm?” it seemed like the pistol was clogged or was malfunctioning as it didn’t fire even though it was loaded. The sound of something traveling through the air at high speed can be heard.
Wisteria turned to see where the sound came from, only to be stabbed through the heart by a knife that presumably flew in the air.
”What?!” she managed to let out as she was lounged to the ground, her pistol sliding to a young man’s foot.
”Old people die hard, they say…” the young man said, pointing the gun at Wisteria. He was one of the hostages who had his powers locked when his hands were tied. Wisteria looked up at him, her eyes filled with rage.
”Apparently that was just a myth—“ he said coldly before firing straight into Wisteria’s skull. Spinning the pistol once, he threw the weapon somewhere else within the warehouse.
Looking at Zeke, the young man eyed him menacingly.
”Long time no see… Nightmare…” he said coldly, hands in his pockets.
(andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) Carter, Villain “Ironhead”)
(Ability: Ferromanipulation — andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) can control anything with iron as a material within a 50 meter radius from himself. However, he can control, at most, three items at once)
Zeke had been so close to pulling the trigger. He wondered if Wisteria could see it in his eyes. The desire he had to kill her. To make her pay for what she'd done. For hurting all of these people. Torturing them. For threatening Evelyn.
His breath hitched when he thought she pulled the trigger. He thought he'd pulled his too, in that moment, but apparently he'd just froze up like a coward, waiting to have a heart attack and watch Evelyn slump to the ground with a bloody bullet wound in her head.
Except she didn't.
Ironhead turned the tables pretty quickly, and Zeke was more than relieved to see Wisteria dead. But now his concern shifted to her killer. Just because he had killed Wisteria didn't mean he was necessarily on their (and, yes, he is now referring to himself and Evelyn collectively in his mind) side. Zeke eyed the villain in return, his own eyes sharp, his heart still thumping from his internal panic from seconds ago when Evelyn came this close to dying.
Ironhead had saved her.
Zeke said nothing. Thanks didn't seem to be quite enough, and given the stare Ironhead was currently giving him, Zeke wasn't sure if the guy wanted a thank-you. But, still…
He cast a glance to Wisteria's dead body.
"Thanks for that," he said, somewhat coldly– though he did mean it. Maybe he just didn't want to seem sentimental. "Could've done it a couple seconds sooner, though." He didn't take his eyes off of Ironhead, though he did teleport to Evelyn to make sure she was okay. She was his priority at the moment, whether he dared to admit it or not.
(First point to clarify, this isn’t the same andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) as the police officer. They just have the same name so for this dude, I’mma just call him by his alias and not his name)
All in response to Zeke’s words, Ironhead yawned, covering his mouth. Being perfectly honest to himself, Ironhead really wanted to kill Pastel as well considering what she had done to him a couple of weeks ago before being kidnapped here. However… he dared not to. Not because Evelyn was strong or that he was afraid of her. No. That was not it.
He saw it, the care Nightmare had for the rogue was something he’d never seen from a man like him. He was going to just turn the tables another time, that’d be insane. Then again, he’s still mad about losing to Evelyn when they were fighting in a factory where he should’ve had the advantage.
Ironhead sighed, looking at the other hostages.
”What are you waiting for? Go home why won’t you?” he scowled at them, a mixture of annoyance and worry was clear in his tone.
”Thank you…” one of the other twelve hostages who were all younger than him, said to him with a shaky tone as if they were about to cry. What Ironhead wasn’t expecting was what followed.
A bullet gone through his calves, making him fall down.
”Boy… you’ve got a lot… to learn…” Wisteria slowly stood up, fully healed it seemed. She turned back to Evelyn and Nightmare.
”You two don’t belong together and you know that, stop being a nuisance and stop bringing fake justice into my life—“ she pointed the pistol at them, firing twice without second thoughts.
(I didn't think it was the same but thanks for clarifying so that I didn't think I was going bonkers. Also– Wisteria coming back to life is kinda eerily epic and I love it. rubs hands together diabolically Soooo how do we want this to go down? :>)
(I was thinking of something like Zeke holding onto Lynn and dodging with her in his hands. Something like that, make it look like he cares)
(Soft boi to the rescue)
When Wisteria suddenly rebounded, Zeke's immediate reaction was simple: protect Evelyn. There was no time to think about it. There was only a short moment for action, that short moment from the time she shot Ironhead in the leg to the moment she was up with the gun pointed at him.
He couldn't teleport faster than a bullet. Could he?
No.
But he had a split moment where he knew what was coming. Maybe he was fast enough. Maybe–
He didn't think. He only acted. He grabbed Evelyn and immediately teleported both of them towards the exit from whence they'd came. Anywhere to get away from that gun. Anywhere to protect Evelyn.
The sound of gunfire echoed through the warehouse.
When they reappeared out of the gun's range, Zeke was full-on clinging to Evelyn, his heart pounding. "Evelyn–" he breathed, almost frantically as he immediately released her so that he could see if she was injured. If she had any injuries. If there was a bullet hole in her. If he'd been fast enough.
He had been fast enough.
He was so relieved he lost his breath, but there was no time to enjoy said relief. Wisteria was still here. These people were still prisoners.
He grabbed Evelyn's wrist and yanked her around the corner, unwilling to risk her further. He knew his conscience would never forgive him if he left these people here to suffer or die, but he couldn't live with himself if anything bad happened to Evelyn, either.
He knew he couldn't.
(Soft boi cares a lot more than I thought QwQ)
Evelyn wasn’t sure whether her heartbeat was caused by the sound of gunfire or whether it was caused by the fact that Zeke literally embraced her in his arms. She was afraid at first but it seemed like they were fine. Both of them were. Luckily, that is.
The only problem now being Wisteria and Ironhead. They were most likely going to fight and if handled unprofessionally, Ironhead would lose.
”Hey… Zeke…” she whispered.
”Do you trust me…?” she asked, looking at Ironhead from the distance she was at. She had a plan, yet, for it to work, Jack o’ Lantern’s corpse will be used.
(He cares more than he thought too ^w^ Thoughhh I'm sure he'll be in-denial later)
Zeke hesitated momentarily. Trust wasn't something he gave out easily. He'd only known Evelyn for a day or two. But– but– he kind of trusted her, and he was willing to trust her now. "I– well– Yeah," he said finally, offering a slight nod. "I do." He hoped he wouldn't regret those words, but… he was fairly certain he wouldn't.
If he couldn't trust Evelyn, he couldn't trust anyone.
"Why? What are you thinking?"
”I’ll distract Wis, you go to Jack o’ Lantern corpse and get the bombs. If I remember correctly, they explode upon contact with skin so…” she created a pair of gloves using the black color she’d absorbed.
”Throw it at Wisteria when I throw her towards you, that should do it. If not, Ironhead should be able to finish her off…” Pastel explained. She gave Zeke a small nod.
”Sounds good?” a shot was fired up into the air.
”Where are you at dear?!”
Zeke nodded slightly, sliding the gloves on over his own (which were fingerless, therefore useless in this situation). "Okay. Yeah." He went quiet, listening to Wisteria's taunting, wondering how– by some miracle– she hadn't yet killed Ironhead. Unless that last shot was aimed at his skull. That was possible, too. Nonetheless, he was still only truly concerned about one person in this room.
And it wasn't himself.
He waited for Evelyn's distraction before acting as requested, but the plan was already laid out in his head quite simply. Teleport to the bombs. Grab em. Throw em. Blow Wisteria up.
Seemed simple enough.
Evelyn slowly stood up and crept out as Wisteria turned to her.
”There you are you little nuisance…” the older lady smirked.
Evelyn gave the woman an eye of confidence, turning the black metallic pillars of the warehouse into spikes that aimed at her.
The healing ‘hero’ dodged around and eventually lost balance, causing her to fall.
This was a great opportunity for Zeke to do his part if anything.
((Ahem so also, side note, as you mentioned possibly being interested, I've been trying to plot for that dark RP I mentioned. I haven't gotten anything solidified yet, as I've been on a partial hiatus, but, it's… well, I'm working on it. The theme was essentially planned to be a man who was a psychologist and scientist until he went wackadoo, and he is like running a super dark secret laboratory now in the middle of nowhere where he puts people inside of a giant puzzle-maze type thing. If they can survive til the end, he'll let them go, but if they can't, they're trapped in there for the rest of their lives. And there are people still stuck in there from times before, some of which have gone absolutely crazy (cough cough like mega savage, cannibalistic) from being in a place like that. And since he's a scientist, some of his crew have created genetically modified animals, which are also in there– as well as a few other creepier twists I'm still working on. This description doesn't really do it justice– But uh… Idrk… what's wrong with me…))
And Zeke did indeed do his part. He did exactly as he planned, and he did so quickly, grasping a bomb in each hand and launching them both towards Wisteria– taking care to aim for the exposed regions of her skin, since contact with such was required for detonation. He wanted to see this woman dead after threatening Evelyn, and he wasn't willing to risk another revive.
((That… sounds like something I would definitely be interested in being a part of. I’m still interested but I’ll wait patiently :D))
Wisteria was busy trying to get out of the situation she was in that when she heard such sounds, her head turned to find the bombs not a meter away from her. She gasped shockingly as both of the bombs exploded and caused Jack o’ Lantern’s signature green flames to burn her alive with it.
Ironhead kept the other hostages safe from the explosion by manipulating the metallic pillars Evelyn brought down to protect them. When the flames extinguished on their own, what was left was Wisteria’s burnt clothes and her burnt body. No pulse. No breathing.
”We… did it?” Evelyn breathed heavily as she asked. That metallic spike thing she’d planned, that used a lot of her energy.
Zeke ran over to Wisteria's body to make sure it was lifeless this time. He gave it a kick, and then checked for the pulse, which was nonexistent. "I think so. There's no pulse. She should be dead," he replied, straightening himself. He glanced up at Ironhead and the hostages, but his gaze flickered back to Evelyn, noting the exhaustion in her voice. "Are you okay?"
((Okay, YAY. Since you're the only person I've shown this idea do and one of the main people I'd like to take part in this: would you prefer we did it as a one-on-one, or if I made a small group and you were part of it? ^-^))
”Yeah… yeah……” she answered, making note of her own breathing. She slowly walked to Zeke and rested on his chest, clinging onto his body.
”Mmmmmm…” she exhaled tiredly.
Ironhead gave both of them a glance.
”Fine. I was on the run anyways so I’ll take these hostages to the police…” he sighed ”…and turn myself in I guess” he mentioned, taking the other hostages with him outside. His eyes showed a sudden sign of regret, a tear falling from his eye yet a satisfied smile on his face.
((I’m honestly alright with anything. But if I say so myself, if it’s gonna be a small group, I’d prefer it be only four people including ourselves. So… two other people))

(If you do make it, can I join please?)
(… were… were you stalking this rp? Hannah? HANNAH?!)
(Maybe… but we don't need to talk about that right now. I'm enjoying stalking this, so don't mind me, I'm just going to hide in the corner.)
