"waking up to you every morning, sweetheart." Abrose hummed, tilting his head up to let Easton kiss him. His eyes fluttered shut as Easton's hands ghosted over his skin. Shivering in delight, he curled up closer and gently nuzzled Easton's brow. "I've been breaking the law for years now, dearest. What more harm could I possibly do by unconditionally loving you?" He asked softly, renting his free hand against Easton's chest, right over his heart.
Mel pressed his back again his door the moment he got to his room. He huffed a laugh to himself as he slowly slide to the floor and cradled his head in his hands. "What are you truly doing Melisande? You should be focused on Abrose and getting your family to safety. Not some fae ex-sentinal who can play the guitar." He growled, slowly shoving himself off the floor. Even if he is devastatingly handsome and could make you bend with a single word. Mel sighed as he pulled PJs and a thick fur blanket from the closet. "You truly are a pathetic mess." He muttered, shutting the closet with his hip
"I've been used to it." Easton hummed. "You make my heart beat so fast I might just die. You send shivers through my body every time we touch. You always look beautiful no matter what you're doing. Every time I wake up in the morning with it's like I'm falling in love again." He looked at his hand. "See what you're doing right now, don't do that." He cupped Abrose's cheek pulling him down for a nice long kiss.
He put the guitar back in it's case and set it up carefully against the wall. He found a more comfortable way to sit as he pulled the blankets from before over him. He's just a friend. He's like Easton! No, no he's not like Easton, he so different from that. He looked maginific. The way he walks and talks. Nothing could compare to him. He's like a force of nature that just want to hold in my arm all night long. Nick had this dazed look on his face the more he thought about Mel. He bit his lip, letting himself sink into the couch.
“No, don’t say that dear. I don’t know what I’d do if I caused any harm to you.” Abrose pleaded, turning their linked hands together and pressing a kiss of his own to the back of his hand. He broke out into a soft smile. "Beautiful is not what I'd describe myself when waking up. More like a dishevelled slightly pissy mess. Consider this a rare moment." He laughed softly, moving on from Easton's hand to planting a kiss to his nose. He tilted his head curiously as he followed Easton's gaze to his hand resting against his chest. He lifted it slightly, fearing he had pressed to hard against an injury. "I'm sorry! I didn't-" his apologies were drowned out as Easton pulled abrose down into a tender kisses. Abrose flailed about for a bit, trying not to put all his weight onto Easton, just in case he really was hurt somewhere.
"and where are you going?" Mel fliched as he reluctantly turned to Kira. He had tried his best to take a discreet shower so as to not disturb anyone else. Now dressed in a night tunic and pants he was now trying to sneak back to Nick's room.
"Bringing more blankets to Nick." He replied smoothly, lifting his armful of fur blanket.
Kira gave her young Lord and sharp glare. "The blankets and yourself, correct?"
Mel's lips turned down into a frown. "That is none of your concern. But if you must know, yes. I am keeping company tonight." He refused to let the rush of heat over power his statements. He refused to be embarrassed by the desire to be by Nick's side.
Kira crossed her arms over her chest, "it wouldn't happen to be for keeping his bed warm, would it."
A low growl tore through Mel's throat, the hallway around him falling pitch black. No one, not even Veda would have stepped that far. They all knew how Mel felt about his romantic escapades, despite his choice to continue searching for the right one, no matter how broken his heart got. "As I've said before. That is none of your concern-"
"It is if every male that comes into your life breaks your heart Mel!" Kira cut in, dating a step forwards. Mel glared away, not wanting to think Nick the same as those who he had slept with. "No matter what happens to me. You know you, and everyone under my care, come first. My family comes first." He whispered, gently touching he wall closest to him to reilluminate the hall. "I will do anything to protect the ones I love. That includes putting my own heart second." He straightened, no longer angry, just extremely tired. "Go to Esther. Sleep well." He gave a soft smile as he slowly turned back towards Nick's room
Easton shook his head. "You're so cute." He placed his hand over Abrose's. "I just meant the way you're touching my chest makes me want to grab you and kiss you all over. That is not the heartbeat of someone in pain, my love. That is the heartbeat of someone in love." Easton sat up against the headboard and pulled Abrose onto his lap. "Morning kisses are always the best. Only with you can they be genuinely filled with pleasure." He caressed his cheek, keeping his other hand busy playing with Abrose's hand. "I love all of you, even your disheveled, slightly pissy mess." he hummed against his lips, wanting more of him every time he kissed him.
Nick was listening to the conversation, not on purpose, but he tried his best not to pry. He watched Mel come in with a frown. "Is everything alright? I heard you arguing. If staying here is a problem, you can sleep in your room, and I don't-I don't want to cause a commotion." He was thinking about lying and said that he didn't hear anything, but he wasn't that good at lying, nor did he like to. Nick started to scratch his hands. He was nervous that he might've caused trouble for Mel. "If you want to stay here then, I would like that. A lot."
"you had me worried I had hurt you." He whined, gladley curling in Easton's lap, tugging the covers along with him to maintain the pocket of warmth. He purred softly at the gentle touches. "And I love you, my beautiful creature." Abrose murmured, his free hand pressing gently against Easton's jaw. "Really? It more seemed you liked teasing me. Even when I wasn't in the best mood you still somehow found a way to make me smile, against my better judgement." He laughed softly as he remembered back to how they met, and to how Wastonnhad continuously came back to the store, even after Abrose had thought he'd stay away.
Mel flicked his tires gaze up as he entered Nick's temporary room. "If you heard then you also must know that I have no intention of leaving. Unless you request my absence, I wish to remain here with you." Nick replied gently, focused on arranging the couch until it was time his liking before finally turning to Nick with the extra blanket in his arms. He crouch in front of Nick's lounge and gently rested a hand overtop Nick's. "While I do appreciate your concern, you dont need to worry about your position here. You are my guest and thus under my care. If anyone has a problem with it, i will see that it gets resolved. All you need to worry about is resting and preparing for the move." He reassured, giving Nick's hand a gentle squeeze before spreading out the blanket at the base of Nick's makeshift bed, in case he needed more warmth. "Sleep well dear, I'll see you.in the morning." He murmured softly, offering a gentle smile before he strode over to his own bed and settled down.
"I guess I am quite persistent. You love that about me, don't you." He kisses his temple. "We should probably get up before the boat leaves without us. It's pretty late in the morning already as much as I would love to stay here all day with you in these warm sheets. I think it's time." Easton breaths in dramatically before smothering Abrose's face in kisses. "Let's get some breakfast and then we can be on our way?"
He listening to Mel a small smile falling upon his face. He couldn't help but get like that whenever "Yeah-yeah, of course." He looked down to his hand that Mel had grabbed beforehand. He couldn't get the feeling of Mel's hand out of his mind as he slowly slaid down. "You too. I'll see you in the morning." He pulled the blankets over his shoulder and turned towards Mel before falling asleep. He slept longer than he expected to. He woke up lazily yawning and stretching underneath his blankets. "Good morning…" he mumbled. His voice was raspy as he rubbed his eyes. Even so the sheets were too warm for him to want to get up so he stayed stretching periodically.
"you very much are persistent. But you're right, I love that and everything else about you." Abrose laughed, lightly resting his head against Easton's chest. "You're right, as always. Today and probably the rest of the week are going to be long." He agreed, starting to shift off of Easton's lap but not before he was caught in a mess if kisses by Easton's. "keep doing that and we won't be going anywhere for a long while." He teased, gently tugging Easton by the neck of his shirt and pressed one last, long, render kiss to Easron's lips before finally pulling away to dress for breakfast and to finally leave the continent.
Mel tugged the warm blanket over himself as he snuggled into the warmth. Once settled, his gaze landed back on Nick's. "Sweet dreams, my knight." Mel whispered, stealing a few more moments to watch Nick fall asleep before succumbed to slumber himself. Considering the last few weeks, Nick had been sleeping less than normal, and not as deeply either. While he still haven't gotten himself to sleeping deeply out of worry something bad had happened, Mel found himself sleeping well tonight. In the morning, he had allowed himself to slowly awake instead of bolt upright than previous nights. Hia eyes fluttered open at the the sound of another voice close to him, his chest tightening before he realized where he was. "Good morning," he replied softly, rolling into his side to look at Mel. "Sleep well?" He tugged the balnket all the way up to his chin to keep in his warmth.
Easton melted into the kiss immediately. He was like a puppy wagging its tail the longer it lasted. He pouted when Abrose pulled away, leaving him alone on the bed. "See, that was not fair. You can't just kiss me like that. You know what it does to me. He pushed himself off the bed, wrapping his hands around Abrose's waist. "If you keep doing that, we'll never leave." He whispered before planting butterfly kisses on his lover's neck. "As much I would love to see you change, and I will be changing in the bathroom. I need to freshen up in there anyway." He grabbed the set of clothes that were close to his bag. Easton kissed Abrose's cheek before disappearing into the bathroom.
Nick nodded slowly, opening his eyes. "You look even more beautiful in the morning than you do at night." He laughed. Nick's hair and clothes were messy, and his eyes seemed hazed as he looked at Mel. "I slept very well." He added, rolling over on his stomach. The blanket was half on him, half not, and to anyone looking, he looked like a drunken mess. "As you can see." He didn't feel the pain from putting pressure on his wound. He was much too tired. "So, what is on the agenda for today, beautiful?"
"that's exactly why I kiss you my dear," Abrose sang, glancing over his shoulder with a teasing smirk, letting out a joyful giggle as Easton caught him by the waist. "You started this, dear." He murmured, lacing his hands through Easton's hair for a moment until he pulled away. "I'll wait for you outside when your ready. I'm sure Esther has started breakfast already." He smiled softly before fully disappearing into the closet to change out of his PJs and into some day wear
Mel let out a breathy laugh, "as do you dear. It's hard to choose when you look more breathtaking." He reached over the couch and lightly tapped a hand to the wall, lighting the room enough so that it wasn't just the morning light providing them light. "Maybe let's not make that judgement just yet. We'll let Veda take a look at them later, but I'm glad you're not in pain this morning." He slowly sat up and stretched, glancing out the window out towards the estate grounds. He looked back towards Nick, his smile crossing his featured as he beheld Nick's adorablely sleepy state of being. "Well, I was thinking if going for breakfast soon. Abrose and Easton leave today so I was also going with them to the docks see them off. Afterwards I'm not entirely sure other than continuing to set everything up for when we move."
He changed into his traveling clothes. It didn't take him long to freshen up in the bathroom before coming out. Easton didn't see anyone in the room so he figured he would wait outside. He exited the room and leaned against the wall as he waited. "Darling I'm going to check on Nick okay? Meet me there when you're done!" With that, he left and started on his way towards Nick's room.
Nick shook his head. "In no way…" he yawned, "am I good-looking in the morning. I look like trash in my defense." He rested his head on his arms as he listened to Mel. "Sounds like you have a plan. Breakfast does sound good right about now. I would go with you but I should probably have Veda check if I'm okay to do so. For now, I don't want to get up. Think about it." He yawned again it took a second for him to talk again. "If I get up, right, then I have to possibly walk around so I'm not just laying here. Or I could sleep more wake up to your beautiful face and then sort of get up but maybe fall asleep again and repeat the cycle you know? That sounds much better." He ruffled his hair trying to fix it from the way it was looking now.
Abrose chose a deep green tunic to wear as well as black pants, not bothering with a corset since he wanted to be more comfortable whole on their trip. He ruffled out his hair and breathed in deeply, mentally readying himself. Easton and hinwere leaving today for a brand new continent, away from the dangers and away from everything they knew. Abrise only hoped that they'd finally be able to settle down and be happy. Clasping a cloak around his neck, Abrise peeked out into the roomshakong his head with a small smile when he didn't find Easton outside. "Poor thing," he murmured affectionately, heading out of their bedroom and our to the hallway to both find Easton and some breakfast.
Mel tilted his chin up "no, you're right. Not just good-looking. Gorgeous, Beautiful, heavenly, better suited you." He corrected, gazing at Mel. "Don't worry about getting up now, dear. I'll bring you breakfast while Veda sees to your wounds." Mel arched an eyebrow, a sleep whistful smile crossing his features as he listened to Nick. "Or you could remain awake with me." He suggested softly, offering a gentle smile as he stood and pulled open the curtains to let in more sunlight
Nick watched him stand up, squinting his eyes from the sunlight coming through the window. He gulped when Mel tilted his chin. There was a light blush on his face. "Breakfast with you, staying awake with you, you're suggesting a lot of good things today, huh." He giggled in a way that seemed like he was hypnotized. He was more awake now than he was before.
Easton walked to the room and knocked on the door. "I wonder what he's doing that's taking him so long to answer the door." He sighed. "I'm coming in you better not be-" He opened the door to see Mel lifting Nick's head up. He could see the way Nick was hazing at him and he could see the way Mel was looking at him. "Was I interrupting?" He watched Mel walk away and Nick straighten up on the couch, clearing his throat.
"You could've knocked you know." Nick glared.
"I did. How did you not hear it? I thought you of all people would've heard my footsteps." He sat at the other end of the couch.
"I wasn't paying attention. I was focused on something else. Something much worth listening to than your boring footsteps." He turned his eyes to Mel watching him open up the curtains squinting at the light.
"More like someone else," he whispered. "Ow, ow, ow" he laughed. "What are you hitting me for. Of you're-ow!"
"You need to stop talking. What did you even come in here for anyway?" He growled.
"Just came in to check on you. You seem to be doing much better. Are you coming with us today?"
"Oh, heaven's no. I couldn't stand being on a boat with you two for days. That sounds like torture. I love that you're in love. I am so happy that you found someone, but I don't need to see you guys all over each other, you know?"
"You could've just said no." He rolled his eyes. "I'm going to eat breakfast now. So, I will leave you two alone so you can uh. Do whatever."
Mel glanced up with a smile as Easton came into the room. "You weren't." He reassured, tidying up the room a bit before he slipped out of the room to get Veda and to grab breakfast for both Nick and him.
When he peeked intot he room, he found Esther tending the stove while Veda and Abrose talked at the table. The Lord smile and slid into a seat beside Abrose, earning him a warm greetings from both people. "I certainly hope you don't plan on staying all cooped up with Easton on your last day here." He teased, poking Abrose's side. Abrose giggled and playfully swatted at Mel's hand. "Only if you don't plan on doing the same with your knight in shining armor." He teased back, glancing over at Veda with a smirk when he have a snicker. Mel sighed softly, cheeks warming at the comment. "No, not when we'll spent plenty of time together while we move later." He muttered, waving as Kira and Genevieve entered the kitchen.
"You're really taking a liking to him, huh?" Veda asked, hugging his wife as she came to join them.
Mel shrugged sheepishly. "I'm still figuring things out. Right now I want to focus on getting all of us safe. Then we'll deal with my relationships."
Abrose gave his life long friend a gentle nudge, resting his head against Mel's shoulder. "We're going to be okay Mel. Besides, I think it's about time you found live in someone deserving of your beautiful heart." Mel breathed a laugh, pressing a kiss to Abrose's hair. "Thank you, flower. I only hope I am equally deserving of his."
Easton left the room after talking with Nick for a while. He snuck up on Abrose, grabbing him by the waist from behind. The impact caused him to rock back and forth slightly as Easton laughed. "Hello, Darling," he smirked, pampering Abrose in kisses. "Breakfast smells wonderful, by the way. You know what else smells wonderful?" He mumbled against Abrose's neck. "My angel," he whispered. Easton kissed his neck light before stopping his spree of kisses. "Nick seems to be doing better, but he has a pretty good poker face, so I don't trust it. Mel, I trust you with him. He's a pain in the ass, so good luck."
Nick decided that it was time he got up and did something. So he looked around for clothes he could use. Once, he found some which took longer than expected. He started with his pants since that was easier than taking off his shirt. He slipped on a comfortable pair of pants and socks as well. Nick gave a frustrated sigh, knowing what coming neck was. Doing what he could sit down, he tried to take off his shirt but had no luck. Blood and sweat filled his shirt, and he just wanted it off. Instead of trying to pull it off, he angrily ripped it off. He sighed and looked at the shirt he picked out in his hands. Instead of being angry, he decided to wait for Mel to return.
Abrose had gotten up from his spot at the table to help Esther with with the breakfast, balancing two plates in each arm. Yelling out in surprise, Ambrose stbled to catch the plates of breakfast as Easton caught him around the waist and hugged him close. He giggled at the kisses, tilting his hair as Easton attacked his neck. "Hello my dear." He cooed, shivering in delight. "I'm glad he's doing well. At this rate he'll be ready to move with Mel. Unless he's changed his mind and decided to come with us?" He asked, glancing up when Mel took the plates in his hand. "I've dealt with much worse than former sentinels. I think I'll be alright." He gave a wink before disappearing from the kitchen.
"I bring food! Esther made her famous custard filled pastries." Mel announced as he gently nudged open the door to Nick's room. "I can gurentee you've never-" Mel's praise died in his throat as he beheld Nick's shirtless form on the makeshift bed. Bloodied and sweating from effort. Mel had enough control to not drop the plates he held in his hand and carefully set them down before rushing Nick'a side and kneeling down beside him. "Do they hurt?" He asked, voice in a harsh whisper as he quickly grabbed a basin of water and a stray rag from a nearby bathroom to clean the wounds.
Easton shook his head. "He said and I quote, 'Oh, heaven's no. I couldn't stand being on a boat with you two for days. That sounds like torture. I love that you're in love. I am so happy that you found someone, but I don't need to see you guys all over each other, you know?'. He can be such a pain sometimes. All he had to say was no. I can't help but show my love for you. I mean look at you. You're beautiful and smart and all mine." He cooed. "I'd much rather eat you for breakfast, but I need some food in my stomach before we are on our way." He let go of Abrose reaching for one of the pastries. "May I?"
Nick was pretty muscular; considering his profession, anyone who worked there was expected to have an athletic body. Nick nodded slightly. "It's just. I-I couldn't…" he growled and tried to relax. "I just tried to change my clothes, and I managed to get half of it. Then I-I-I couldn't get my shirt off, so I ripped it, and I tried to get this one on, but it didn't work. Then I got frustrated because I couldn't do anything because of this stupid wound. I thought I could do something as simple as changing my clothes. I thought I could, but no, I can't even do that. I'm pathetic. I'm a fae; I'm stronger than this. I've had worse. I can take something like this, I-ow!" he yelled, allowing him to take a breath. He didn't realize that he said that with one breath while Mel was tending to him. "I'm sorry, I was rambling. The point is…this shouldn't be so embarrassing to ask, but can you help me put on my shirt?"
Abrose turned in Easton's arms as he listened to him talk. "He's very forwards, but I get it. If it were me, I'd probably feel the same in his position." He muttered, smiling softly. "I'm sure he'll find himself in a similar situation soon enough, completely head over heals for a certain Lord we know and completely in love." He grinned up at Easton and pressed a gentle kiss to his lips. "I'm not food sweetheart." He laughed softly and nodded, thanking Esther as she passed him two plates and passed Easton two mugs of mulled wine.
It broke Mel's heart seeing Nick struggle so much. He could relate, not being able to do something while fully knowing he was completely capable of whatever it was. He flinched and muttered an apology as he lightened his touch as he continued to clean the wound until it was bleeding less. "I don't mind." He replied softly, replacing the bandages before standing and setting aside the bowl of know bloodied water. "Both the rambling or helping you when you ask." He shrugged sheepishly as he gently took the shirt from Nick. "You have the bravery of saying exactly what you feel when you feel it, withoit holding yourself back until you've gotten it all out. It's something I wish I learned how to do more often."
Easton hummed in disagreement. "You could be my food," he mumbled pecking lips before bitting into the pastry. "This is really good but you taste much better, my love." He mumbled. "But this is really good." He ate pretty quickly since it tasted like heaven. He swallowed what he was chewing with the mulled wine. He whipped his mouth and cleared his throat. "Maybe I should've savored that more, but none the less it was very good. Man, I'm am going to miss this. Or you can just make some for me when we get over there."
Nick scoffed. "I don't think so. I've been taught that's a weakness, I guess that's something else I have to change huh." He laughed. His posture was similar to a "C" as he hung his head in disappointment. He whispered a silent thank you as his bandages were removed. "You're such a lovely person and you can't even see it." He smiled. "Rambling about something like this, I feel guilty. You have so much going on and here I am being a dick about everything. You are beautiful inside and out, I don't deserve a friend like you." He cleared his throat and looked towards the window. "Where do you want me? To put on the shirt I mean. I can't exactly lift my arms up over my head."
Abrose's cheeks flushed at how sure Easton sounded. He ate a bit slower than Easton, a smile on his featires as a watched Easton devour his breakfast. "Esther will be proud to know that you enjoy her cooking so much. I'll ask her for some extra before we leave and for the recipe so I can learn how to make them.once we get to the southern continent." He took a sip of the wine, still unsure how he'd react to any amount of alcohol but the spices in the wine were warm and soothed his nerves.
"You don't have to change dear, only learn and grow from what you've been taught." Mel reasoned softly, reaching up and gently sweeping Nick's hair from his features and brushing his thumb along his cheekbone. "You're right, I don't see it. I've done so much against this kingdom. I've killed people with families all for this rebellion. And to hide that guilt I've distracted myself with the very people I've hated. We've all done things that we regret later." He matched Nick's soft smile and have a little laugh. "I don't mind, it pleasently gives me something else to think about. And, like everything else about you, you're rambling intrigues me." Heat rose to his ears at being called beautiful, an incredulous light escaping his lips. "I could say the same for you." He mumbled, kneeling in front of Nick and flicking his hair from his brow. "Right where you are, just carefully reach out your arms. I'll do the rest."
"Sounds like a plan. How about I go bring our stuff here, so we're ready to go whenever so we're not rushing." Easton leaned over, kissing his cheek, hallway snuggling into it as he did so. "Do you know when we have to leave? Is it soon? I want to kiss you a little more before I get on that boat, and I start to throw up this excellent breakfast." He joked, leaning his head on Abrose's shoulder.
Nick couldn't help but keep his smile as he leaned into Mel's touches. Nick listened to every word Mel said. How could he not? They were important, and Mel told him how he felt and what he thought. "You say you wish you could say what you were feeling, but to me, it sounds like you just did." He bumped his shoulder playfully. "You got it, boss." He held out his arms, trying to sit up straight the best he could. "So what else about me intrigues you. I mean, the way you looked at me when you walked, I couldn't tell if you were admiring and appreciating my body or gawking at it." Nick smirked, raising an eyebrow. If anything, he loved more, it was teasing people, and Mel was a perfect target, respectfully, of course. "Now, don't think too loud. I can hear it you know?"
Abrose happily leaned into Easton's affection, humming happily. "That sounds great. We should be leaving at noon so that gives us an hour and a half to get ready and get to the docks." He gently pressed a kiss to Easton's hair and smiled softly, "I think we have time to kiss for a few more moments before we need to go." He finished off his wine, cheeks turning slightly pink. "We're taking more if this for the trip too."
Mel huffed a laugh at being nudged. He rolled up the shirt and as gently as possible, started to slip it over Nick's stretched out arms. He gave a playful glare but couldn't help but keep his grin. "I wouldn't consider myself intrigued. More terrified in the moment." He arched an eyebrow, before continuing with his task, trying his best to keep his touch light and his mind blank. "You forget dear that I've been with many a partners before, in multiple forms of undressed." Mel took a step back once the shirt was covering Nick and pressed a thoughtful finger to lips as he looked him over. "Though, now that I'm not nearly having a heart attack, I can definitely say that there is something about you that intrigues me greatly."
Easton nodded getting up from the stool. He made his way back to the room, he took his time slightly listening in on Mel and Nicks's conversation before continuing on his way. He picked up the bags from the room, carrying them back to the front with ease. He dusted off his hands and put them on his waist. "Soon we'll be free. We can have a new start. Maybe not completely new but the closes thing to it." Easton shuffled back to the kitchen. "DId you finish yet, love?"
"You've never been with me though. Don't compare me with those dick bags who left you. They don't count." He laughed. "Thank you for the shirt. Thank you for putting up with me. I heard Easton talking about me. He's right though. Though you're not that easy yourself. You're quite the handful for not realizing your own greatness." He stretched his back the best he could. "Besides if those people really care about you they would still be here probably glaring at me to stop flirting with you. Anyway, I heard you brought food. What heaven will my stomach experience today?"
While Easton went to grab their things, Abrose finished off his breakfast and helped clear the table of dishes and cups. He helped Esther clean the dishes, trying his best to ignore the pang of sadness in his heart. He wouldn't see Mel or anyone else until Mel settled in a few months. He glanced up when Esther rested a hand on his shoulder. "We'll see each other soon, don't worry." She muttered, wiping her hands on a nearby towel and hugging Abrose right. Abrose hugged back, catching a flicker of movement by the doorway. Esther huffed a laugh. "They're never far for long, huh?" She said, letting Abrose go to face Kira now leaning against a wall and Easton in the doorway. Abrose smiled softly and shook his head "nope, never." He giggled softly and nodded, walking over to Easton's side. "Yep! Just finished."
"I never promised to be easy to handle. I like a good challenge." He countered with a grin. "And to those glaring at harmless flirting, I'm glaeing right back. It's not every day I gain even a fraction of attention from someone such as yourself." He bobbed his head and strode over to where he had set the plates down. "Esther made her famous custard filled pastries for Rose's last day here, and I assume to make him feel better about thieselast few days." He set a plate down beside Nick before retrieving a tray with a tea set. "I didn't know if you preffered tea or coffee so I brought both."
Easton's smile grew as he watched Abrose come to his side. "That's great, darling." Easton leaned down so his lips would meet with Abrose's. He gave him a long kiss he poured all his emotion into. He took a deep breath before pulling away. "Almost time. You said your goodbyes to everyone. Should we get the two lovebirds? I think they're still eating right now, so we actually might have to get them later." Easton rubbed the sides of Abrose's arm, refusing to break eye contact.
"Thanks. I like coffee more. Do you have any sugar, though? I like my coffee sweet. Easton likes it bitter, and sometimes he forgets that I like the exact opposite of him, so he gets to be a biter black coffee as well. Which honestly gets me mad every time, but I throw it out and order another one." Nick licks his lips just looking at the pastries. He snatched one off the plate and hesitated before eating it. He took a small bite and smiled to himself, taking an even bigger bit the second time around. "These are good. I would hate to eat all of it, so you might want to pick one or two up before I eat them all. Unless there are more." he said after swallowing the first two bites.
Abrose's eyes widened in surprise as he was swept into the kiss. He melted into the kiss and into Easton's secure embrace, the kitchen fading away into nothing as his eyes fluttered shut and as he gladly kissed back. Though, for a heartbeat, Abrose couldn't help but be reminded of the kiss they had shared in the dungeons when both their lives had been at stake, when they hadn't known whether they'd see each other again. Abrose shoved aside the thought, reasoning with himself that they weren't interested in that situation anymore. They were safe, they'd be safer once outside the country but right now, they didnt need to be worried about their lives. Reaching up on his tip toes, Abrose gave one last effort to deepen the kiss before he sucked in a deep breath as they broke apart. He nodded and gave a laugh, shaking his head. "Leave them be for now, dear. They deserve to be happy in each other's company. Besides, it gives Mel something to focus on than worrying about everything like he always does." He nestled into Easton's arms, wrapping his own around the fae's waist. "Let's go explore a bit more before we leave. There's one more place we didn't go to on Mel's tour o want to show you."
"Well, if you weren't awake before, now you surely will be." Mel laughed, adding a few hefty spoonfuls of sugar into the coffee and stirring vigorously until it was all dissolved, a christaline shimmer appearing on the top. He passed the cup to Nick while he made a cup of milk tea for himself. "Eat all you want, there are plenty more where those came from." He stood and took two of the pastries for himself, "but I am hungry."
