Easton stroked Abrose's hair. "Well, now everything we put in our new house, we can make tons of new memories to share with them when we come back." He whispered close to his ear before kissing his forehead. "I know those things have sentimental value, so there's nothing you can do to the stuff that was burned, but you can treasure the things that were saved. Through your worst days and your best, I will be there. I know you have plenty of shoulders to cry on, but you have me now." He leaned down, kissing his lips softly. Easton kept his eyes glued to Abrose's, his facial features relaxing. "I love you so much."
Nick waited in the room patiently. He looked around the walls seeing frames of paintings. Even ones he had in his own house. He smiled softly and leaned back, sinking into the couch. "I shouldn't be falling in love with him. I guess I'm in for a world of hurt then." He looked towards the ceiling, letting the deep breath he inhaled release.
Abrose shivered slightly, burying his face in Easton's chest. He breathed a small laugh and nodded, the idea of making new memories with the one he loved truely making him excited for the move. He gently cupped Easton's cheek and kissed him back, lingering slightly before pulling back to gaze up at him. "thank you, Easton." He murmured, hugging him close. "I love you too, he whispered, breathing in the Fae's scent and relaxing in his hold. "Can we stay like this a bit longer?" He asked, knowing they had to finish their packing but Abrose wasn't sure how much more he could take that day without breaking down again.
Mel shortly ce back cradling a guitar case in his arms. "I hope this is alright." He knelt down on the ground and carefully opened the shiny black case, revealing an emreld green inside with the white guitar nestled inside. The guitar itseof was simple, a creamy white body with silver around the edges. He picked it up and offered it to Nick
"Of course," he agreed and stared out the window. He admired the way the sun shined on the trees making it all look so peaceful. He looked down in his lap and rested his hand on Ambrose's cheek. He stretched his legs so it would be more comfortable. He moved against the edge of the bed, so he's back could lean on something as he held Abrose. He didn't speak, he only ran his hand up and down Ambrose's back, keeping him warm. "Do you mind if I kiss you again? I just get so addicted to you sometimes."
Nick's eye lit up once he saw the guitar. He looked up to Mel before looking back to it. He took the guitar with a steady hand and admired it as he picked it up. "Where did you get such a beautiful guitar. Mine is only a simple brown but this is…are you sure it's okay for me to use it?" He sat up to the edge of the couch, placing it on his knee. He strummed it but winced as it was out of tune. He started to tune it using careful hands and making sure to be delicate as he tuned it.
Abrose peeked up at the room around them, relaxing at the sight of the room. Safe, away from the Queen's destruction, with everything he could possibly need. The wall of the estate had everything he needed, the people he loved. There was no reason for him to feel so uneasy. His attention was brought back to East as he gently touched his cheek. Abrose happily leaned into the the gesture and pressed a kiss to his palm. He hummed softly as Easton rubbed his back and shifted as he stretched. He settled more comfortably in his lap. "Dear, you know you don't have to ask. No matter what, I'm more than happy to kiss you." He replied, brushing a kiss to Easton's lips. "Only sometimes?" He pouted teasingly, lightly brushing aisde Easton's hair and smiling softly.
"We've had it for years, probably decades." He replied, a smile crossing his features when he saw Nick's expression. He silently promised he'd do anything in his power to see that light in his eyes as much as possible. "Of course it's alright. If anyone has a problem with that, then they can speak to me." He shrugged, gaze trailing from Nick's eyes to his hands as they fiddled with the guitar. He sank into the seat once again, mouth parted slightly in awe as he watched, getting comfortable for his own personal performance.
Easton looked towards the door, hearing Nick sing and play the guitar. He smiled to himself before paying his attention back to Abrose. "Maybe that last one was a bit of a lie. I didn't want to seem like an animal if I said I wanted you every second of the day. Even at night, I desire you more than anything." Easton's voice turned into a whisper the closer he got to Abrose lips. He closed his eyes and let himself melt in the kiss he shared with Abrose. It was soft and even he had butterflies in his stomach. A slight grin appeared on his lips as he pulled away. "Did I ever tell you how much I love you?"
Nick strummed the guitar causing it to make the most beautiful sound. He closed his eyes, letting the noise ring for a moment. He looked at Mel before started to play. "The reason why I like the guitar so much is that it drowns out all of the noises. The sound waves are so loud it feels like it's reaching my heart. People like the birds and the chirping in the morning, but a guitar is what does it for me." Nick spoke softly, letting the music resonate in his ears. For the first time in a long time, he let himself go. Nick hummed a song of his own that he hadn't yet written lyrics for. He closed his eyes and sang the melody with the guitar in the background. He grinned once the song was done, still hearing the guitar before opening his eyes. He looked away from Mel and down to the guitar. "Sorry, I got carried away. Was there anything you wanted me to play?"
Blush crept up on Abrose's cheeks as Easton leaned in close, his breath as he spoke carresing his face, even as it dropped to a low seductive whisper. His ears heated as he gladly pressed into the kiss, back arching in an attempt to get closer to Easton. He wrapped his arms around Easton, hugging a breath when the other pulled away. He giggled and pressed their lips together again, "yes you have, dear. But I could never tire hearing it over and over again." He brushed another kiss over Easton's mouth, savoring his taste. "I love you too Easton." He bumped their heads together affectionately and gently stroked his cheek with his thumb. "Any plans for our first date?" He asked softly, perking up as he heard beautiful music.
Mel couldn't remember back to when he had felt so at peace. He was constantly a bundle of tight nerves, whether it was due to keeping his family or even himself safe, even with a partner, there was always a part of him that said 'what if.' he supposed that was why he could never keep a partner for long. Mel's eyes slid closed as he listened to the beautiful music, head resting back on the loung. He blinked when the music stopped and tilted his slightly. "No, only for you to get carried away again." He replied, voice soft and relaxed."you play beautifully."
He hummed in thought. "I thought maybe we could sit outside a coffee shop. The weather would be just warm enough. We order some food and talk for what seems like hours." He grinned, pressing a kiss in between sentences. "No hiding, no sneaking around, and no interruptions. Just us and only us. Then we went back home and continued to plan what the rooms should look like because we decided to go on a date instead of finishing the house." Easton ran his fingers delicately across Abrose's jawline. "I admire your beauty as you talk about plants and things I don't understand, but you look so cute while doing it. I can't help but pull you in close and kiss you. Finally, we sit on the grass and watch the beautiful sunset. When you get sleepy, I'll carry you in bridle style and lay you down on the bed. I kiss you on the forehead and whisper a sweet 'good night' in your ear." He moved the hair from Abrose's face. "How does that sound, my love."
He gave a shy laugh before starting to strum again. They were random chords, and yet it still sounded like a song. "Thank you. I've been playing since I was a little kid. My dad showed me his guitar and let me strum it now and again. I even broke the strings once. He didn't get mad, but I could've sworn I cried because I thought the guitar would never be fixed. Then he told me that he could just get new strings, and it would be good as new. That guitar meant everything to me after he passed away." His eyes grew sad again, and his hands moved slower than before. He took a deep breath in and out. "Playing does make me feel less empty. There's also you." He blurted.
Abrose tilted his head thoughtfully, a soft smile crossing his features as he listened to Easton. A giggle bubbled up at the kisses he was receiving between each heavenly thing Easton said. It all seemed so far from now, they hadn’t even moved yet and they were already thinking about a home to live in together. Despite this, Abrose didn’t want to even imagine another future without Easton in it. He sighed breathy laugh against Easton’s hand as it trailed along his jaw. “If anything, I feel like I’d bore you with all my long rants.” He snickered lightly, pressing a gentle kiss to Easton’s Wrist as he trailed his free hand along his neck and collar bone. He returned his half-sided, heavy, love-filled gaze to Easton’s. “That sounds wonderful, my dearest. So Beautifully wonderful.” He murmured, following Easton’s hand and closing his eyes as his hair was moved aside. He arched up and pressed a slow, gentle kiss to Easton’s lips, hands twining into his hair and knotting in his shirt as he pulled his beloved face closer.
Mel nodded slightly, a serene smile on his lips as the music started again, and as Mel started to speak about his family. A laugh was hidden behind his hand as Nick explained how he had broken a guitar string, Imagining him as a young child fretting over something seemingly so simple, yet so undeniably important. He pressed an open to hand to his chest, over his hear and bowed his head. “Your father is proud.” He stated softly, his carefree smile growing soft with sadness. He sent a silent prayer to the stars above, comforted in the knowledge that Nick’s father could watch his son grow for the better. His gaze snapped to Mel’s and he gave a tilt of his head. “Me?” He managed out, curiously. He grinned and regarded Mel, honey brown eyes scanning him over. “I can’t imagine myself as someone who makes anyone feel alive. If anything, I’m more of a temporary distraction.” He shrugged and glanced away, mind racing with all those he had been with. All those who had left him for some reason or another.
Easton let his muscles relax when Abrose kiss him. He placed his hand over Abrose's chest, letting his heartbeat course through his body. He kept the kiss long but gentle. He ran his fingers up and down his back lightly before pulling away. "We should probably finish and then clean up." He pulled Abrose up to an upright position in front of him. "As much I would love to kiss you all day, I don't want to be doing this…" he pointed to the pile of things they managed to sort. "all day."
"I wouldn't call you a distraction. Something like that isn't for someone as magical as you. You actually held a conversation with me instead of threatening to kill me, steal my money, and make me wish I was dead. I think whoever thought of you as a distraction is mistaken. I can assure you, you definitely aren't temporary, unless you want to be. The is up to you." He looked up to Mel, his eyes tracing over his features as he played. He played a wrong note and looked down. "I guess you're beauty is a distraction. I can't seem to focus, when I look at you. In a good way! I promise."
Abrose whined softly as Easron pulled away and wrapped his arms around his shoulders as he sat up. "You're right, you're right." He huffed, leaning in for one more kiss. "Is it too late to go back to being non-productive?" He asked softly, giving Easton one last oleading look before shifting out if his lap to put away the last if his things into the bags.
Mel breathed a gentleman laugh and shook his head, though he could help the blush that crept up his neck and to his cheeks. "What is my magic other than an elaborate distraction?" He muttered softly, waving his hand lazily in the air to shift the room from a calm blue to a warm orangy glow, reminicant of the dawn. He needed his lips, a frown appearing on his face. "I wanted that. For you to dissapear. After what you did to Abrose I-" he shook his head and ran a distressed hand through his hair. "But that's far from what I want now. If you'll allow it, I'd be honored being more than someone temporary." He tipped his head as he watched Nick's gaze, a slight smirk on his features. He blinked as the wrong note was ayed and took a chance to glance away, trying his best to compose himself. He chuckled lightly. He leaned his elbows in his knees and gently tapped below his eyes. "Focus here dear. If all of this is too distracting, focus here." He winked and waved to the guitar, silently motioning for Nick to continue
"I'm afraid so, my love." He watched Abrose put the last of his things in the bag. "Do you need my bag for more room, or can everything fit?" He moved from his position as well, helping clean up. "Where do you want to put all the things you aren't bringing? Back in the box?"
Nick stopped playing when he said that Mel wanted him gone. I knew it…he doesn't want anything to do with me… Nick let his hand loosely hang over the guitar. He looked up in hope when Mel said that wasn't the case. "I would like that. I wouldn't say it's an honor. I'm not that special." He gave a shy smile as a faint blush appeared on his cheeks. "I don't know, and I would much rather focus here." He smirked and poked Mel's cheek. "Seems like something much more interesting. Honestly, your voice is just like music. It echos in my head and gives me a warm feeling." Nick could feel his head beating out of his chest but did his best to ignore it. He gave a chuckled before continuing to play to distract himself.
"i think everything can fit." He said over his shoulder, setting his family's heirloom box beside everything else in his bag. "I might have to put some extra clothes in your bag but other than that I think everything else can fit in here."
He glanced back at the broken viles and withered sprouts. "Yeah, I don't think we'll be able to save any of that. We'll find replacements when he move and settle down. He gave a hopefully smile before closing his suitcase and zipping it closed.
Mel blinked at being poked, a breathy laugh rising from him. "Really? I've never had anyone describe it quite like that." He mused, his smile only growing. "I'm not entirely sure how accurate your kind words are, according to Veda, I sink like a crow." He giggled lightly and shrugged, closing his eyes as Nick started to play.
"Okay then. I think we're done. Now we can go back to being unproductive. I can kiss you till you drop." He hummed, giving Abrose a soft kiss. He looked out the window and it seemed to have gotten dark. "Let's head out tomorrow. Maybe in the morning or whatever time. I just know I'm tired and I want to hug you all night and tell you how beautiful you look." his voice was low and calming the more he spoke. He stood up and flopped on the bed with his back facing the ceiling.
"You could never…" Nick whispered. He watched Mel as his eyes closed. He got to take a good look at Mel's face. I should not be looking at him like this… The way Mel's hair looked and how it was perfectly shaped to his fit his physic. How his lips looked so soft. Mel's clear skin, and to him, Mel was glowing. Nick wanted to see those eyes open one more time so he could get lost in them. Stop, Mel trusts you as a friend, so don't ruin it… his thoughts seemed to down out as he moved closer to Mel. After one inch, he stopped himself and gave a warm gaze even though Mel couldn't see it.
Abrose hummed softly at the kiss and lightly rested a hand against his chest. "Till I drop, huh?" He laughed softly, following Easton's gaze to the window. It was a clear, beautiful evening, one he would have been excited to go out in to harvest nocturnal blooming herbs and flowers. But now there was no need for that. His attention when as brought back towards east as he spoke, giving a confirming nod. "The ship to the southern continent usually leaves around mid day. We have until then to make it to the docks. Otherwise we'll have to wait four days for the next one to come." He murmured, giggling lightly as he watched Easton pull away and drop on to the bed. Abrose followed after and settled by his head, gently combing through Easton's hair with his his fingers. "Shower first my dear. It may be the only one you get in the next few days." He cooed softly, gently tracing Easton's features.
A flicker of a smile crossed Mel's features "then you the first to say so." He muttered, voice soft and low as he took a rare moment to fully let himself relax, both in mind and body. His breath even out and he let his hand draped over the edge of the lounge go limp. With his fae senses, he could hear everything, from the distant calls of birds making their way back to their nests to Nick's nearing breathing and heartbeat. Mel lazily tilted his head and opened his eyes only halfway. "And to what do I owe that lovley gaze if yours for, hm?"
"It's a shame you took a shower without me this morning otherwise I would ask you to come to join me." He hummed, melting into Abrose's touches. He kissed the palm of his hand before getting up and going to take a shower. "Could you set out some clothes for me Darling? I wouldn't want to make the floor all wet when I come out of the bathroom. Unless you want to join me." He smirked, stopping in front of the bathroom door.
"W-What?" He played a sharp note startled that he said something. He stopped his playing. "No, it's just um-I-well-you." He couldn't find the right words to say. "I didn't think you would see it. You had your eyes closed and I guess I don't really have an excuse. I just love looking at you. You're beautiful." He put the guitar beside him and turned his body to face Mel. "Respectfully of course." He added. "I wouldn't want to make it weird when you've given me a second chance."
"as unbelievably tempting as that offer is, my love, somehow I doubt we'd leave anytime soon." Gently brushing his thumb along his cheek before standing to find new clothes. He grabbed a comfortable shirt and pants as well as underclothes and passed them to Easton, pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek and nudging him into the bathroom. "Or you can take a quick refreshing shower and join me in bed." He smiled softly and went back to their bed, snuggling underneath the heavy sheets and nearly disappearing underneath.
Mel have an easy smile as Nick spluttered an explanation for his staring. "I don't mind having all of your undivided attention, dear." He laughed softly, resting his head against his hand, his cheek pressed into his lam. "You don't have tobworry about that. Believe me, I've been through weirder interactions than being attracted to someone who attempted to get my friend murdered, believe it or not." He shrugged nonchalantly, refusing to look at Nick in the eyes as he shifted in his seat
Hearing the wonderful message said to him, he took a shower as fast as possible. He quickly put on his pajamas, making sure his hair was dry. He checked how he looked in the mirror and opened the bathroom door. He shuffled over to the bed. "Hey, do you mind if I sleep on your chest tonight? Or maybe you can sleep on mine if that's more comfortable." He climbed into the bed, waiting for Abrose to answer before he got settling in the sheets.
Nick chuckled. "Yeah, I guess you're-wait…" He took a second to process the entire statement just made to him. "You find me attractive?" He watched Mel shift in the seat. Nick couldn't help but smile. It would not be sensible to say it now, but he figured it was only fitting. "I find you attractive too, in case you haven't figured that out yet. I feel like I made it much too evident without even realizing it. It's getting late, and I don't think I'll be able to go with them tomorrow. Besides, even if I wanted to go, I did not want to be there while I saw them cuddling and kissing on the ride over. The more I see it, the more lonely I feel. Could I tag along with you?"
Abrose peeked out from underneath the covers. "One mention of cuddling for the night and you take one of the fastest showers in the world, huh?" He teased, scooting over in the bed to make room. "I don't mind at all darling. C'mere." He reached up and made grabby hands towards Easton. "I'll always want to cuddle with you sweetheart." He cooed, gently tugging at Easton's shirt to draw him closer.
Mel shyly nodded, fidgeting with his hands. "I do. But not just only in looks! I hope I don't come off that shallow, that's not my intent." He added quickly, blinking at Nick's response. "Admittedly you didn't make it subtle but I didn't want to say anything on case my assumptions were wrong." He breathed a laugh and nodded "I wouldn't mind at all. It gives me a chance to hear your beautiful paying." He smiled and nodded his head. "Believe me, being constantly surrounded by mated individuals can get tiresome for a lonesome male. Though I'm glad for those two, they seem very happy together."
Easton grinned and placed himself on top of Abrose. His eyes were to his chest as he pulled the covers over his shoulder. I can hear your heartbeat, you know. It's very soothing." He mentioned, letting the warmth consume him. "Of course, I'll take the fastest show because cuddling with you is my number one favorite thing to do with you. In second is kissing you." He pecked his lips before tilting his head back down.
"No, of course not. I could never think that of you." He gave a shy smile. "Thank you for letting me tag along with you." He looked back to the door that led to the hallway. "Yeah, I'm happy for him too. After what I said to, him I'm glad I could find someone. He said that he liked me, and I rudely rejected him. I'm just glad he wasn't too hung up on it. Either way, if I did say yes, I probably would've never had the joy of meeting you."
Abrose happily wrapped Easton in a secure hug, hands coming to rest in Easton's hair and upper back. "I feel calm around you. You're my comfort person." He admitted with a smile, as he started to run his fingers through Easton's hair. He laughed softly and kissed back, gently cupping the back of Easton's head. "You're allowed to take longer shower's dear. I'm not going anywhere, I promise." He teased, massaging Easton's head.
Mel have a light laugh. "You refected him because you weren't interested in being with him personally or him as another male far?" He questioned, not out of judgment but out of curiosity. He shrugged slightly "I think we would have met one way or another. Even if Easton wasn't interested in Abrose romantically, I feel like you both would have pissed me off enough that we would have inadvertently met. Though maybe not as pleasantly." He flicked his gaze up towards Mel's and gave a small smile. "A joy? So you're into others telling you what to do in a life or death situation?" He quirked an eyebrow and gave a sly smile
"Oh yeah? Well, you're my comfort person if you didn't notice already." He mumbled, hugging Abrose a little tighter. Easton hummed when his hair was being played with. "Mmm, you should do that more often." He chuckled. "And even if you aren't going anywhere, cuddles are essential to my way of living. You know, it's like how when you need to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, you don't just have one; you need both. That is how I feel about you. I need cuddles, and you are the only person who can make that happen. I love you, Abrose. Sleep well tonight, alright?" he closed his eyes, half-asleep already.
"I rejected him because I just wasn't into him. I think. I don't know why; I just didn't say it the way I was supposed to, you know?" He rested his head sound on his arm. "In either situation, we wouldn't have met pleasantly. In either situation, I would be doing the same thing, so I guess you're right." He chuckled tiredly and sighed. "I take it your sleep in your room tonight. Not that you would be sleeping anywhere else, you know what I mean."
Abrose huffed a laugh, leaning forwards to press a kiss to Easton's head. "So I'm your peanut butter to your jelly? That's adorably, if not a bit weirdly sweet my dear." He have a soft smile and started to ever so gently pet the bridge if Easton's nose. "I love you too, Easton. I'll try my love." He murmured, shifting on his side and curling around Easton for warmth. He tugged the blanket over them and slowly drifted off to sleep.
Mel simply hummed and nodded slightly. "I guess you're right. I wish we would have met differently. You're an intriguing individual Nick." He murmured, hiding a yawn behind his hand. "Hm, it is getting late. Would you rather I sleep here? I wouldn't mind the company." He asked, ignoring the heat rising to his cheeks. "Not together, of course. You there and I'd sleep here but in the same room…"
Easton smiled when he felt a hand on his nose. It was surprisingly relaxing. He kissed the palm of Abrose's hand once he was asleep. He managed to fall asleep a little bit after Abrose as well.
Nick scoffed. "I don't think I'm fascinating…" A slow grin appeared on his face as he watched the blush appear on Mel's face. He chuckled from his rambling on where they would sleep. "It's nice to see that you get flustered at times, too, and I wouldn't mind if you slept here. Dare I say that I would prefer it. I know we wouldn't sleep together, Mel. That's moving much too fast." He added. "I'll stay here while you get the blankets. It's not like I would be able to help anyway."
Abrose didn't sleep as well as he had wanted to that night, dispite being with easton. His dreams were plagued with images of fire and his family. Throughout the night, he found himself hugging Easton, needing the reassurance if not being alone. Eventually, he was able to relax enough to sleep peacefully, only waking when the first few rays of sunshine shine through their large window. He sighed softly and snuggled close to Easton, a small smile tugging at his lips. "I could definitely get used to this." murmured, peppering Easton in kisses and nuzzling him, content with staying in bed with the one he loved so much.
Mel pouted softly, not sure why he was having such a reaction to being around Nick. He's had plenty of other people in his home, more than he'd like to admit. Despite that, he had always carried a confidence that had kept some part of him separate from all his relationships. But with Nick, he felt like he didn't need that facade of confidence, nor did he want to have a wall separating his true emotions and thoughts. He nodded slowly, also unused to the slower pacing that this was taking. He had to remind himself this wasn't like his onenight or month long relationships. Thsibwas a friendship, at least the start of one and he was genuinely happy to explore that further without the looming expectations of sexual intamacy. "Maybe tomorrow you'll be well enough to walk around a bit." He have a small, hopeful smile before slipping out of the room to find extra blankets and pillows as well as to take a quick shower and change into something more comfortable to sleep in
He chuckled from all the kisses he was receiving. Easton hummed in question. "Get used to what?" He mumbled. A grin appeared on his face as he started to kiss Abrose's Jaw and neck. "Good morning." He cooed. His gravelly voice came through as he spoke. Easton's hand glided along Abroseo's jawline to his cheek. He was too warm and comfortable to move from his position. His eyes were still closed as he laid there tracing over Abrose's features. Easton's heart was beating weirdly fast since he had just woken up, he was certain that Abrose could feel it. "You know…what you do to be should be a crime." He dragged his hand down to Abrose's and interlocked their fingers. Easton kissed the back of his hand carefully.
Right then Nick wanted to give him a head pat before he left but figured it would be disrespectful. Instead, he waved as Mel left the room. As soon as he was out of sight and let a sigh of relief come from his lips. While Mel was gone he mentally prepared himself to not say anything the next time Mel walked in the room. He took deep breaths in and pretended like he was staring at one of the paintings.
