"I… Don't know either," Cicada admitted letting out a long sigh as she went to drink from her own cup of water. She rubbed and her head as if that would take away the pain, "I, I had plans but who knows if they happened now."
"I… Don't know either," Cicada admitted letting out a long sigh as she went to drink from her own cup of water. She rubbed and her head as if that would take away the pain, "I, I had plans but who knows if they happened now."
"Plans? What kind of plans?" Phoenix asked softly, turning his head to look at her. He was quite confused, but wouldn't push it if she didn't want to tell him. No matter how much he wanted to know.
"I, um, was going to tell you…" Cicada's voice trailed off as she spoke. Without the alcohol, in her and the hangover, it was hard to get the words out. She took a deep breath before finishing her thought, "I was going to tell you that I liked you. Like like you okay?"
Phoenix had been waiting expectantly, and his jaw literally dropped when she finally got it out. His heart seemed to stop for a moment as he tried to look for words. He didn't want to keep her hanging. "I- you… you do?"
"Um, yeah I do," Cicada absentmindedly starting fiddling with her hair. Her heart had stopped when he didn't respond, but hearing him say anything made her feel better, "Sorry, for, uh, dropping this on you while your hungover and shit."
"That's okay- I… I um…" Phoenix had been so close to just telling her right then. But he hesitated. Which didn't make any sense, considering he knew she liked him. So whatever this was about, he swallowed it down before speaking again. "I… I kind of like you, a lot, too."
Cicada paused for a moment and her cheeks began to glow red. She messed with her hair some more as she took a deep breath and looked at him, "I, uh, glad? Sorry, um, just feels like you, uh, said this before. But, but I don't remember you doing it."
"I know what you mean… it's all a haze." Phoenix mumbled, trying not to let his cheeks grow pink. "I wish I could remember what happened…" Sighing softly, he glanced over to her with a little smile. He wasn't exactly sure what was suppose to happen now.
"Same here," Cicada replied softly smiling back at him. She moved just a little bit closer to him and hummed a little, "I guess I did confess last night, that might explain why we were snuggling this morning."
"Y-yeah… probably." Phoenix hummed softly, gently resting his head against hers. He sighed a little as he rested his hand on top of hers. "It makes sense at least… though I'm worried to know what else we might have done."
"Given we were both completely clothed, I'm not too worried," Cicada teased him just a little bit. Even with the hangover she was still willing to tease and leaned back against him.
Phoenix's face flushed more, and he glanced down at her. "Cicada…" He whined softly as he drew his knees up to his chest. Avoiding eye contact, he gently pulled her hand up and placed a soft kiss to the back of it. "B-but I mean… yeah. Nothing much… between us could have happened."
Cicada blushed further as she laughed a little at his reaction. She leaned up against him and let out a sigh, "Yeah, nothing really could have happened. Maybe a make-out session, but that would be the worse thing."
Whining once again, he ran a hand down his face. "Yeah… no offense, but I'm kind of hoping not. I do like you, a lot, but I don't think I want to remember if that happened." Phoenix admitted in a soft tone.
"I'm hoping not too," Cicada told him carefully reaching for his hand. She just wanted to hold it okay? After a moment she admitted softly, "I don't want to be drunk if that happens."
"Cicada…" Phoenix scolded a little with a light laugh. He was of course even more flustered because of it, but he also agreed with what she had just said. He just hadn't said it. Holding on to her hand, he smiled a little over to her. "You must really like me, if you want to remember making out with me."
"I, uh, yeah," Cicada blushed a little as she looked away from him. She had had a week to think about everything and yeah, she really did like him that much. Eventually, she managed to look back at him, "I would want to remember making out with a cute face like yours."
Phoenix felt a smirk creep up, and leaned over to gently kiss her cheek. "I'm not that cute, but I'm still flattered. I'd be quite happy to be able kiss someone as pretty as you." He purred softly, gently nuzzling against her cheek. This wasn't much like him, but if she could tease him, he thought it was only fair he could tease her.
Cicada was blushing as she tried to match his smirk, but it was hard. She hadn't seen this side of Phoenix before, but at the same time, it felt familiar. She hummed a little before purring in return, "Aw you flatter me. But I'm not as pretty as you are."
Chuckling lightly, Phoenix pulled back a little. He had a grin spread over his face as he leaned his head back against the wall. "Is that so? I really must disagree, because I think you're quite the bit more attractive than me." He insisted, pursing his lips together.
"Mmmm agree to disagree," Cicada replied leaning her head on his shoulder. She had a faint smile on and glanced up at him, "Because I think you're pretty attractive as well."
"Guess we'll have to then. You're not one to change your mind very easily." Phoenix hummed softly, leaning his head against hers. He was content to keep sitting there, as long as she was nearby. "I can be just as stubborn if necessary."
"Yeah, but we both know I'm more stubborn," Cicada falshed him a big grin enjoying just sitting here with him. She didn't mind not moving as long as he stuck with her, "So, uh, we like each other and now we're all cuddly. So does that mean we're a thing now?"
"I think we might already be a thing, preceding to last night." Phoenix chuckled lightly, feeling a sharp pain shoot through his head. After a moment of sitting there with gritted teeth, he let out a soft sigh. "But I mean… are you ready to be in a relationship? I don't want to rush you."
"I, I don't know," Cicada admitted after a moment of silence. She started to play with her hair since it was her way of distracting herself from the current dilemma, "But, but I'm willing to try. If you are that is."
