He sighed, letting his shoulders relax. “I forgive you,” he said awkwardly. He’d thought they already went over this. “But are you sure it’s me you should be apologizing to? You slapped Evan, not me. I understand why you were suspicious of me, and you did embarrass both of us, but really, it’s him you should be apologizing to.”
He rubbed his neck, still a little nervous. Funny, he wasn’t sure where all those words had come from.

"Right- Well I'm sorry to the both of you." He put a hand on his neck, evan smiled softly at Trent. "It's okay trent, we both forgive you." He looked over at Alister a small thank you in his eyes, before trent nodded and sat down to finish his food.
"Noel? You nervous for the mission?" He asked, trying to let Alister know it was okay even more.

@Tired-but-passionate

Alister caught Evan’s gratitude and smiled sheepishly.
Noel had arched her brow at Evan and was about to reply when the door to the inn opened and the search party entered. Arabelle stood and embraced August, then shook hands with a tall woman with red and silver hair and bags under her golden brown eyes; Vixen O’Shea. Arabelle went around shaking the other’s hands, and patting Shun on the back, all of them murmuring with each other. Then she motioned Evan, Alister, and Noel to come over.
“… No, Evan. I just want to find Malachi,” Noel said as she got up and went over to the others.

He sighed quietly, nodding with what Noel said, he just wanted malachi to be okay when they found him but the sooner they got to him more opportunity that they had that he wasn't hurt by the lab and that he is okay.
He gets up from where he is sparing a glance at Alister and then at Trent before looking back at the approaching search party. He went towards where he was being gestured to, waiting for either questions or the opportunity to speak.

When they joined the others, Arabelle nodded at them and said, “Alright. Let’s get introductions out of the way. Vix, Shun, this Alister Storm, Noel’s brother. Alister, Vixen O’Shea and Shun De Luca.”
Vixen nodded her head at him, and Shun waved amiably with his bandaged hand. Alister returned each nervously.
“Now, who wants to go with them?” Arabelle prompted. She continued rather reluctantly. “August, I understand you must go anyway.”
She gave a sad, loving smile. “He’s our leader, and my friend. I have to find him. Eli, Ethan, why don’t you sit this one out? I don’t want to put you through any more.”
Ethan glanced up. “Ah, alright. Good luck. I hope you find him.” He nodded to Evan, Noel, and Alister. Though there was a hint of disappointment in his voice, he and Ethan left quickly as if they were glad they were taking a break.
Arabelle waved him off, then stared at Shun. He glanced away nonchalantly. Then Vixen put a hand on his shoulder.
“Kid, you did good. But we don’t want any more burns, alright?”
He sighed defeatedly. “Alright. I just wish I could do more.”
“Hey,” August spoke up. “Without you, I don’t think we would be alive.”
“Yes De Luca, you were amazing. From what you’ve done today, you definitely have the potential to be a valuable asset to this cause.” Arabelle said.
Shun blushed, like he hadn’t been expecting such high praise. “T-thank you, ma’am. He turned to Evan and the siblings. “Good luck to you.”
Alister watched the scene in fascination. Shun looked nice, maybe he could get to know him. Vixen intimidated him slightly, but she looked like a seasoned rebel. Maybe she could teach him some things.
He walked out the door. August spoke first.
“Alright, I think the next place to look is the District 6 prison. We could check with the rebels there, see if he made it there or if they can track him down. I’m sure Emery could think of something.”
Arabelle smiled, happy that they had a plan. “Alright then. You ate at the De Luca residence?”
August nodded.
“Wonderful. Are you three ready?” She turned to Even and the siblings.

Trent got up and went over to the group,
"I'd like to volunteer! To go be on the mission and search for malachi." He spoke as he stood near the group enough for them to hear him.
Evan nodded to arabelle when she asked if he was ready, he felt he was ready but he wouldn't truly know until he got out there. He would brace whatever came against them even if it was the girl he had seen.
He turned a bit both shocked and not shocked that trent was volunteering to help after getting back so soon.

@Tired-but-passionate

Noel nodded as well, then nudged Alister when he hesitated in doing the same. He gave her a look, then murmured his confirmation.
Various expressions crossed the others’ faces when Trenton volunteered. Noel started staring intensely at him, analyzing his strengths and weaknesses. Her brother rubbed his neck, looking more nervous than before. Arabelle stared at him as well, then turned to August inquiringly. “What do you think? He’s yours.”
Noel piped up. “Trent, are you sure? After all you’ve been through in the prison?”
“Yes,” August said. “It might be better if you stayed.”

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

Trent nodded,"I want to go help find malachi, and make sure hes okay. I could help the group should anything happen i have my strength." he looks between AUgust and arabelle before looking down and nodding at Noel.
"Yes im sure, im fine and i want to help."
Evan looked at him, "i would feel a lot better if trent came along."
Trent looked at him in thanks while evan nodded back.

@Tired-but-passionate

August and Noel shared a glance. The former looked back at Trent and said, "Well, I suppose we have room for one more guy."
"You're in, idiot," said the latter, sticking her tongue out playfully.
"Then it's settled?" Arabelle said, looking over them all. She sighed with a kind of sadness, her gaze settling on August again. "Please, try not to get hurt again. Will your shoulder hinder you?"
She gave her a loving smile. "It might. But I'll be careful."
They hugged, Arabelle murmuring, "Just come back safe. All of you," she added when they pulled away.
"We will," August reassured.
"And we'll come back with Malachi, too," Noel said.
The '7 leader flashed her a smile. "Then you better get going."

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

Trent smiled at them, all of them thankful for the chance to get to go on the mission, he let out a exhale as he nodded with the leader of seven whos name escape me personally at the moment. "yeah, we should get going."
Evan nods as well, waiting for the rest of the group to be able to move out and go look for malachi. i imagine they all got all packed up and ready to go, Trent and evan waiting for Alister and noel by the door.

@Tired-but-passionate

(Leader of 7 is Arabelle Collins. Search party: August, Noel, Alister, Evan, Trent, and Vixen. Huh. That’s only two adults. I know Trent is 18 but the poor dude is hardly an adult. Ah well)

speaking of which, the reason i asked was so that i could maybe pop another character in the search party but im guessing this is enough people)

The mission had begun. They traversed the streets of District 7, the sheer white, boxy buildings contrasting with the green, twisting vegetation that had been made space for in the various buildings and greenhouses. Trees stretched out from alcoves in the buildings and vines blanketed the clean walls. Solar panels made up the roofs. They were in the richer part of town, one which had been preserved instead of decimated back in the Extraterrestrial Invasion. The aliens seemed to value it, perhaps because the humans were healthier and more useful. It was nothing like where Alister and Noel had grown up.
Sometimes they had to take the back streets, or August had to share her invisibility to keep their movements hidden. The market was near the border, which was good because the other sentient beings helped hide them as well. The smells and the shouting and the confusion were at times overwhelming, though, and they had to hold hands so they wouldn’t get lost.
The gates were just beyond a crowd of aliens participating in an auction for human slaves. Two families, a band of men who seemed to be anywhere from 20 to 35 years old, and a young androgynous-looking person, maybe in their late teens, all stood on a raised platform with a tall, dragon-like alien speaking their rough, gravelly language to the others, showing off one of the men’s bare chest and limbs.
O’Shea raised a hand for them to halt. “This is bad,” she murmured. “We need a plan.”

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

a little boy, still having the remaining shackles on him though the chains had been mostly removed so what remained was the cuff links. His clothes were thrashed and torn through. The little boy noticed the rebellion and ran over to the squad, tugging on Alister's sleeve, trying to pull him away a bit.

"hey mister…yous guys are with the rebellion right? I can help yous guys get past them."

He didn't let go of Alister's sleeve for a while till he finished speakjng, before pulling on it and pointing somewhere around the way of where the aliens were speaking.

@Tired-but-passionate

August had been muttering about how they should have never gone through the market and instead gone through the back alleys when the boy approached. Alister tried not to make much noise despite his surprise. Wasn’t he one of the slaves being auctioned at the platform? He was too busy staring at the boy and deciphering his strange speech to pull his arm away.
Noel had come up behind him, looking a little miffed. She was just about to propose the plan she’d come up with, and the boy decides to make his presence known? But her eyes followed where the boy pointed, and her expression softened, becoming incredulous.
“How had I never noticed that passage?” she muttered.
“You really think that’s the right way? We’re going to District 6,” Alister told the boy quietly. By now the boy had grabbed everyone’s attention.

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

The boy nodded to Alister's question, seemingly ignoring the rest of the group and focusing on alister and noel, Alister mostly though.
"yes, i thinks it's the right ways." He would try and pull them towards the gate and if anyone gave the boy a look he would give them a sassy look back.
That made evan chuckle softly and silently, he was glad that this kid still has something in despite having been auctioned for being sold.
Trent however just stared at the little lad as he tugged on alister the little boy smelled heavily of aliens but he could guess why just by what the little boy was wearing.
"I think we should follow him." He whispered.
