"Well, there you go. Asexual something. You want ice cream?"
"Well, there you go. Asexual something. You want ice cream?"
"Huh. Alright. And sure to the ice cream." Lin yawned a bit and thought a bit more, wondering what the 'something' in his 'asexual something' was.
Orion got off the interstate and pulled into the Dairy Queen driveway. "What do you want?"
"Just like… vanilla ice cream is fine. I'm boring." Lin shrugged a bit. "Or you can surprise me if I'm not exciting enough for you. I don't care either way."
"One vanilla cone and a small Oreo Blizzard with chocolate ice cream," she said to the person at the window. She pulled up to the next window and paid, then handed Lin his ice cream.
"Thanks." Lin started quietly eating his ice cream, trying his best to keep from making a mess. "What direction are we heading first?" He asked.
"Um. Whatever way I'm driving right now? I don't exactly have a plan. I did see a sign for a gay bar up ahead. So If you're comfortable with it, I wanna go."
"Oh, um… sure. That's fine with me. Are we even allowed to go in?" He asked curiously. "I don't believe we're of age…"
"Oh, live a little, kid! We sneak in. Worst case scenario, we get busted and drive to the next town." Orion pursed her lips.
Lin rolled his eyes a bit. "Fine, fine. If we get arrested, I'm blaming you though." He kept eating his ice cream with a soft huff.
"Nobody said anything about getting arrested." She ate a spoonful of ice cream. "Why would you say that? Now all I can think about is getting arrested."
"Because if we get caught sneaking into a bar underage, they might arrest us, that's why." Lin rolled his eyes a bit and kept eating his ice cream.
"Well when you go into surgery you could die but people try not to talk about it!" Orion gripped the steering wheel. Jesus."
"You do?" Lin asked, seeming genuinely confused. "Huh. My parents never spared me the details or possibilities with that kinda thing. Wanted to make sure I was prepared for every possible circumstance or something."
Orion ate more ice cream. "What time is it?"
"Uhhh… like two in the afternoon. Why?" Lin asked curiously.
"Deciding how long I want to drive." She looked out the window.
"Alright. I mean, I could try to drive some, but I don't think it would go well considering I don't know how to drive." Lin shrugged a bit.
"Absolutely not. I am most definitely not letting you drive." She got off the interstate. "I'm not insane."
"Yeah, yeah. You could teach me how to drive if you wanted me to at some point." Lin stuck his tongue out a bit and crossed his arms.
"Sure I could teach you. But I'm not handing over my car to you if you don't know what you're doing." She pulled into an abandoned parking lot with an empty warehouse.
"Oh, like… right now?" Lin asked, looking out at the empty parking lot curiously as they pulled into it.
"No, not right now. I just saw this warehouse and thought I wanted to explore a little bit. What do you think?"
"Yeah, sure. Do you think there's anything inside?" Lin asked curiously, looking up at the empty warehouse with a soft hum.
"We're about to find out, aren't we?" She took the keys out of the ignition and climbed out of the car, shielding her eyes with her hand.
