Luka had turned his attention to the office until he heard someone yelp, followed by various noises that sounded suspiciously like someone falling down the stairs. He sighed, keeping his dagger in his hand and walking out to check for what had happened.
August accidently caused a nosebleed from Kip, and paused. "Uhhh- I did nothing- Go back to sleep-" He muttered, as Kip growled, and punched him in the arm as August rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah. I love you too. Now- SHOO!" He pushed him to give him a boost as Kip fell face-first to the floor. He was out..cold-
August froze. "Okay, that works too." He muttered, walking back up the stairs with a small bloodstain on him. "Sorry, my brother came up and I tackled him." He muttered. "Boss is probably at a club or something, I don't know."
"Ah, brotherly love," Luka replied, rolling his eyes and tucking his dagger away, "Well, I'm going to go find your boss. You can stay here with your brother." He started down the stairs, eyeing the bloodstain on August but not pointing it out. It couldn't have been his blood after all.
August nodded. "Okay." He muttered, before slapping Kip, who whined. "I don't wanna get up. You bloody threw me down the stairs!" He huffed.
Luka rolled his eyes again, barely muffling a snort as he walked past the pair with no intention of stopping. For the first time all day he would actually be doing something productive, and it felt awesome. No being tied up and behind schedule, no August following him, nothing.
August sighed, now bored. "Welp. You stay here on the ground and let everyone kick your ass. Imma go."
He didn't stop walking, a tiny smile on his face at the sound of commotion, most likely from someone discovering the body of the man he had killed earlier. Luka didn't bother turning towards it, just followed the path out of the building, hoping that August was actually going to stay with his brother, no matter if it would make it more difficult to find his boss or not.
August hummed, before snapping and he was with Luka. "Hey doll~ I'm back~!" He whispered in his ear, smirking.
Luka stepped to the side as August popped up next to him, looking quite unfazed, at most disappointed about his appearance. His faint blush reappeared as he grumbled in response, "Oh joy. I thought you were staying with your brother?"
August smirked. "Nah, he's out cold." He muttered, swinging his knife on the tip of his finger.
"You knocked him out again?" He asked, barely sparing a glance at him and continuing on his way, "I have one stipulation if you're sticking around me. You have to be helpful. Do you know where your boss could be?"
"Most likely at a club, as I said-"
"Thank you for that briliant insight," Luka replied, rolling his eyes, "I was wondering if you would have any specific clubs in mind? So I could narrow down my search. Or even just a description of what he looks like?"
"Hm, black hair, blue eyes, a scuffle thingy on his chin, and hes quite strong- He also smokes cigars-" August huffed, gagging.
He nodded, tucking the details away in his head and motioned to his shirt, "What would he most likely be wearing? And is he tall or short? Thin or heavier set?"
"He's tall, and thin, kinda heavy at the same time."
"That doesn't help me, August," He replied with a small sigh and a roll of his eyes.
"Well, I hardly get to see him, unless if I'm getting my ass beat!" He huffed, stuffing his hands in his pockets.
"Do you know if he has any scars or tattoos I should look for? Maybe styles his hair a certain way?" He asked, trying to get anything else about this boss to work with, "A name at all?"
"He slicks his hair back, or parted to the side, he's quite handsome, and I think his name is Bryan."
Luka nodded at this, satisfied with the information now that he had a name to go with. He didn't say thank you at all though, just nodded once more and continued on his way, trying to wrack his brain for the clubs in the area. He didn't frequent them himself, but he had targets who liked them, and so he knew the names of most of them.
August followed him. "Wait- Why do you wanna kill boss anyway?"
"I haven't decided if I want to kill him or thank him. I'm deciding on the way to find him," Luka replied, tapping his dagger, "On one hand he did take care of your pesky friend, on the other hand he sounds like an absolute prick."
August froze. "Or is it because you care about me~?" He purred, smirking.
"I care less for you than I do for any bug that crosses my path," Luka grumbled, a faint blush giving away that clearly it wasn't true, even if he didn't say it outright. "Don't flatter yourself."
