August ignored his command, wrapping his legs around his waist for support as he shrugged. "Probably ashed up. Boss throws them in the fire after he's done." He says, resting his head in his neck, sighing.
August ignored his command, wrapping his legs around his waist for support as he shrugged. "Probably ashed up. Boss throws them in the fire after he's done." He says, resting his head in his neck, sighing.
"Well then, let's go find your boss, as soon as you get off of my back," Luka replied, stopping in his steps and crossing his arms across his chest. He didn't mind the male on his back, but it didn't make it easy to stay on guard, or kill someone if needed. Someone hanging on his back was just another liability.
August whined, hopping off with a pouty-lip. "Hmph. Your no fun…~" he huffed, stuffing his hands in his pokets.
Luka nodded once, then continued on his way, "I have a job to do, which unsurisingly, isn't letting you act like a backpack on me. I'm finding your boss, I'm giving him my thanks, handing you off to him, and going on my way." He glanced at August, rolling his eyes.
August paused. "I'd rather not." He muttered. "Boss ain't the friendly type. He abuses us, and literally beats us black n' blue…" He muttered, sighing.
He paused, frowning and looking over at August again, "Why do you work for him then?" Luka ran a hand over his dagger to comfort himself, adjusting his sleeves and continuing through the building, searching for this boss he had heard about.
August sighed. "I had no choice."
"I don't get to hear any more of a reason than that? Just 'I had no choice'?" He asked, once again glancing at the shorter male and raising an eyebrow in question, "Nothing more than that?"
August looked away. "I'd prefer not to go into detail." He muttered, holding in a shiver.
Luka nodded, slowing his walk and looking around the hallway they were in, "Well, can you at least tell me where you think this boss of yours will be?"
August sighed. "Upstairs, the room to the left, then in his office straight ahead…"
"Perfect, let's go meet this boss of yours. If he's as big of a douche as you say, I'll just get rid of him," Luka replied, tugging out his dagger and pointing it at August for emphasis, "This isn't just for you by the way. You tick me off."
August rolled his eyes. "Sure, sure." He said, waving his hand carelessly.
He glared in return, but didn't say anything as he followed August's directions towards the bosses office. It was strange for him, but as they neared it, Luka actually felt nervous, even though it was his job to do kill people, this felt different. Having August around was making him nervous.
August looked up at him. "What's wrong?" He whispered.
"Nothing," Luka lied, shaking his head and tightening his grip on his dagger.
August sighed, knowing he was lying but remained silent.
"Do I knock, or should I just go in?" Luka asked when they neared the door, his voice calm and quiet.
August sighed. "Just go in- He won't care."
He nodded, pausing at the door before opening the door and walking in. Luka looked calm, cold and very much like a professional assassin was supposed to look as he glanced around the office.
August stayed by the door, biting his lip nervously. He was scared.
"Anyone in here?" He called calmly, looking towards August but not forcing him to come in. Luka almost preferred if he stayed at the door, that way he could focus on work.
August paused. "Uh oh-" He muttered, hearing footsteps as he rushed away. (Brb)
(Gotcha)
Luka watched the shorter male rush away, rolling his eyes before turning towards the direction of the footsteps.
August saw another person, before grinning brutally. It was his dear brother, Kip. He tackled him, and the two rolled down the stairs, as Kip yelped. "Not funny!" He hissed.
