Kenzie finally managed to force the smile from her face, and decided to take a quick shower. She was in and out shortly, but had spent the whole time thinking over the parts of her day with Keith.
Kenzie finally managed to force the smile from her face, and decided to take a quick shower. She was in and out shortly, but had spent the whole time thinking over the parts of her day with Keith.
Keith finally managed to fall asleep with the thought of Kenzie playing the piano, instead of in a dingy old concert hall she was in a beautiful gazebo, in a simple yet stunning dress in the middle of a moonlit clearing
Kenzie slept fitfully that night. Strains of music she'd never heard plagued her dreams, and shadowy figures with billowing curtains obscuring their figures. Keith was there, but when she walked towards him, he vanished and reappeared farther away, over and over. Until she woke up.
Keith awoke in the early morning hours and got dressed for the day. He packed his things he would need for classes later on and headed off to the campus cafe, hoping not many people had arrived
When Kenzie finally dragged herself out of bed, she couldn't muster the energy to look nice. She grabbed one of her hoodies and threw it on over the same leggings she slept in, and headed out to get some coffee.
Keith found a seat in the back and sat down, grabbing a mocha latte and a muffin. He opened his laptop and started to work, his hood over his eyes.
