"Mmkay… maybe after dinner. Is it dinnertime?" He asked.
"Mmkay… maybe after dinner. Is it dinnertime?" He asked.
"Ah… yeah," Samul said. "I should probably get on that, huh?"
Larkin nodded a bit. "What are we having today?" He asked curiously.
"Well, what about some chicken and rice?" Samul hummed, kissing Larkin's cheek as he moved to get up.
"Sure. Sounds good to me." Larkin yawned a bit and huddled closer. "You know how I like my protein."
"Mhm…" Even if it was just a bit more expensive than other things they could eat. Meat wasn't cheap, but Samul had gotten good at looking for bargains. He stood, kissing Larkin's head again.
Larkin whined softly when Samul left him, but allowed his boyfriend to get up anyways, knowing he needed to cook. "I love you…"
"I love you too, sweetie." Samul ran his fingers through Larkin's hair, going to the kitchen to get started on their meal.
Larkin curled up on the couch to wait, pouting now that he was alone.
Samul hummed, looking out to check on Larkin occasionally as he cooked.
"Love you!"
"Love you too~" Larkin sprawled out on the couch to wait for Samul, humming idly to himself.
Samul chuckled some, turning back to the food. He flipped the chicken and stirred the fried rice, patient, until it was cooked.
"Food's ready!"
"Yaaaaay…" Larkin got up off of the couch and headed into the kitchen, humming happily at the smell of the food. "Smells great, love."
"I'm glad you think so," he said, smiling. He offered Larkin a plate, kissing his cheek.
Larkin returned the kiss and accepted the plate, filling it with food soon after. He then sat at the table and started eating. "Mm~"
Samul sat next to Larkin, taking a bite as well.
"Yummy…" He mumbled to himself, smiling.
Larkin nuzzled against Samul's cheek affectionately when he sat down, but quickly began eating again, seeming pretty pleased. "Where'd you learn to cook so good, huh?"
"What can I say? My mama always did make sure I knew how to care for myself. Even if she'd always insist on cooking for everyone anyway." Samul chuckled, taking a few more bites of his food.
Larkin smiled softly and kept eating. "I wish I knew how to cook good… do you think you could teach me?"
"I do! We could make a day of it sometime." Samul smiled, eating another chunk of chicken.
"Okay!" Larkin smiled brightly and kept eating. "That sounds like fun! When should we do it?"
"Well, how about tomorrow? I doubt my moms will want us over so soon." Samul was grinning, eating with Larkin as they finished up.
"Yeah, sure. That sounds good to me." Larkin nuzzled against Samul's cheek again, seeming to be in a good mood.
Samul smiled as he set his plate to the side, hugging Larkin. He was glad his boyfriend was doing better, for sure.
Larkin hugged Samul back, holding tightly to him. "I love you~" He murmured softly.
