(Lol, I'm the sort of person who just gets that shit without knowing how to properly explain it… here's a simple way: normal tunnels just carve through stuff without being shorter or longer than the thing they're carving through. A non-Euclidean tunnel would be shorter than the length of whatever you're trying to get through, but would be just as long on the inside as a normal tunnel. A tunnel longer than whatever you're trying to get through would be shorter on the inside, but you'd still get to the other side of the thing. Or… even simpler… Doctor Who's T.A.R.D.I.S. is non-Euclidean. The term infundibular also aplies to the T.A.R.D.I.S. [and I'm not going into that right now, lol.])
Shade shrugs. 4th dimensional now?
(Sorry for the science/math lesson!)
(You explained it well, but like… I still don't get it is stupid and embarrassed)
(You're not stupid, actually. I'm just… me. And thank you. But I'm not sure how else to explain it, lol!)
(Could you just have her… not do whatever she just did? I'm sorry, my brain is refusing to understand)
(Aight, fair enough, lol.)
Shade watches the wall for a single moment, then grins, tossing a small ball into the air, bright as the sun, burning away the mist. Her form was still invisible, and she knew she could use this. Moving quickly, she starts setting up a trap.
Farah narrowed her eyes and searched for Shade's aura. "There you are," she mumbled to herself, and she shot a playful water jet at her mid-step.
Shade stumbles, then turns the water to ice balls and sends it back at Farah. She finishes setting her trap. "Yup, here I am."
Farah melted the ice quickly. She prepared herself for whatever Shade was planning.
Come on, take step forward. Shade thinks, a rippling sheet of whatever the opposite of light is flaring up behind Farah.
Mmm, I think not, Farah replied, keeping her movements small and certain.
Shade sighs. Then I'll bring it to you, dear.
The light on the mountain is extinguished, all forms of light swallowed up. Shade tackles Farah and binds her. "I win."
Farah struggled. "No, you didn't!"
Shade giggles. "You can't escape. So yes, I did."
The lights come back, but Farah's bonds remain just as light-consuming as before.
"No, you didn't!" Farah repeated, still tugging at her bonds.
Shade gets up, and pulls Farah up with her. "If you can beat me with bound hands, you can be the winner. Otherwise, I win."
(So much for the taking a break, lol.)
Farah smirked. "I think you underestimate me." This time, she used the magic of light to hide herself so Shade couldn't land a hit on her.
Shade chuckles. "Getting cocky now, aren't we?"
Her vision changes, the aura view overlaying the normal one. She chuckles, then darts right at Farah, attempting to tackle her.
Not cocky. Farah slipped out of the way and darted to the other side of their "arena." But you should know I'm not using the full extent of my abiliites.
Oh, I know. But neither have I, I believe. Shade chuckles.
She tracks Farah, pretending like she can't see her, turning and looking for her.
Oh? Farah crept around, staying out of Shade's line of sight as best she could.
Oh indeed. If I'm able to get to other worlds, then who knows what else I could do? Shade grins.
Do you even know? Farah asked, a plan slowly coming together in her mind.
