Ollie nodded but he was still frowning, "Okay… b-but are you sure, though?" He looked up just a little.
Ollie nodded but he was still frowning, "Okay… b-but are you sure, though?" He looked up just a little.
Wolf looked over to Ollie, lips lifting into a small and friendly smile. "I'm sure. Promise." He scanned Ollie again, finding him attractive in a cute way.
Ollie smiled a little back and nodded, "Okay." He brushed a strand of hair out of his eyes.
Wolf watched the movement, then quickly looked away. Stop staring. You're being weird. He wrung his hands for something to do. "So, uh. I guess we have quite a bit of time on our hands," he started. "And we'll be stuck together for a while…"
Ollie hummed his agreement and nodded, "Yeah, we are," Though he knew it wasn't quite true on his part, "I'm sorry you're not stuck with better company." He huffed a small laugh, eyes glowing for a second again.
"Nah, I honestly prefer you over my friends–or even my siblings, though my twin would be a close second. They'd never shut up. You're… Calmer. I like it." He blinked as soon as he said the words, his cheeks slightly heating up. Damn mouth.
Ollie smiled and he, too, felt himself blush, "Calm…" He said slowly, "That's a knew one, I'll have to add it to my list," He giggled quietly, "I don't think your twin would take it very well that you prefer a stranger over them."
"Cin's pretty cool. She probably prefers music and imagination over everyone else. Especially since she practically babysits everyone–even the friends that are older than us."
"So she's the cool mum friend, gotcha. I don't have any siblings… never have and I never will. I can't tell if that's a blessing or not."
"It is when you look at how freaking annoying they can be," he said honestly. "But then again, they're one of the first people to have your back when things go wrong."
Ollie nodded and little, rubbing at the back of his neck, “Yeah… it would be nice to be close to someone by blood…”
Wolf tilted his head. "You're not close to your parents?" He wasn't judging–he was simply curious. He, himself, wasn't very close to his parents or his elder sister–all three of them expected absolute perfection. Sorry to be a disappointment, but he wasn't cut out for perfection from the start.
He stiffened instantly, shaking his head very quickly at the mention of the worst subject he knew, “No… I’m not and I won’t ever be.”
"Okay, sorry. Touchy subject," he said quickly, feeling bad for bringing it up. "Umm," he bit his lip. "Any other subject you want to talk about?"
Ollie waved a hand dismissively, forcing himself to relax, "Don't apologise, you didn't know," He then shrugged and bit at his finger nails, "Do you have any hobbies?" He asked.
"Ummm," He tilted his head as he thought about it. "Well, you already know about being outdoors. I also like learning languages–preferably dead ones."
Ollie narrowed his eyes a little, head tilting to the side, "Dead ones? Interesting… what ones have you learnt so far?"
"Uh, I'm fluent in Latin, I know quite a bit of Ancient Greek, and I'm working on Old Norse. My sister knows a lot of languages."
"Wow, that's impressive… I can speak Spanish but that's only because I had to learn it in school. Then again, I never really wanted to learn it but Dad made me continue all the way though high-school."
"Well, you're better at Spanish than I am," he said with a half smile. He wasn't too sure how to talk to Ollie, so he was just bumbling through. He was never this awkward around other people…
"You should learn, hermoso. It's a nice language," He blushed a little, looked up at Wolf with a smille, "How long did it take to learn Latin?"
"Uhhhh," he tilted his head as he thought about it. Tufts of his hair fell into his eyes as he did so. "Five years, I think. I was learning other languages alongside it, but I picked up Latin faster than the others."
Ollie's eyes widened a little, "Wow, that's impressive. And learning others at the same time… damn you're talented."
He rubbed the back of his neck, a small blush tainting his cheeks. "I guess I have a knack for it."
"Are you studying in collage or anything right now? And if you're not becoming a linguist I would be very surprised." He giggled quietly, sitting up a little straighter.
