Sterling hummed as he pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant. “I find pretty much everything you do cute, but yes. I do find the playing thing cute.”
Sterling hummed as he pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant. “I find pretty much everything you do cute, but yes. I do find the playing thing cute.”
“You’re weird,” Eden chuckled as she unbuckled her seatbelt and stepped out of the car. She walked over to Sterling’s side and leaned against his car while she waited for him to come out.
“How is that weird?” Sterling questioned, chuckling as he got out of the car. He stepped in front of Eden and cupped her cheek in his hand, brushing his thumb over her cheek.
Eden closed her eyes and leaned into his touch, a soft smile on her features. She lifted her hand to rest against his, the one on her cheek. “I don’t know. I just—everything that I do, Sterling?”
“Pretty much, yeah,” Sterling laughed softly, leaning in to press their lips together gently.
Eden hummed against his mouth, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him closer. “Good to know,” she murmured. “Cute.”
Sterling smiled before pressing their lips together a bit harder. “Have I told you how good you look today?”
Eden pulled away slightly to catch her breath, though their lips were still touching. “No, no you have not.”
“Hm. Well, you look great today,” Sterling murmured, pecking her lips again before pulling away and looping her arm over his own.
Eden leaned against him as they walked, a smile on her features. “Thank you,” she looked up at him. “You do, too. But then again, you always do.”
Sterling snorted and nudged her playfully. “Thank you, beautiful,” he murmured as they stepped into the restaurant. “I’m glad you think so.”
“I’m not the only one, you know,” Eden chuckled, nudging him with her elbow. “Who thinks you’re handsome, I mean.”
“Yeah, well, you’re the only one who matters,” Sterling said with a wink as they stepped into line.
“Damn right I do,” Eden muttered under her breath, but hid it with a smile as she hugged his arm. “What’re you getting?”
Sterling huffed a laugh and pressed a kiss to the side of her head. “You’re hilarious,” he chuckled, looking back up at the menu. “Probably the Asian chicken salad. That looks pretty good.”
“Of course I am,” Eden responded with a chuckle. She hugged his arm tighter. “Sounds good. I’ve never had it before.”
“Do you just want to get a large one and share it?” Sterling suggested, smiling down at her softly.
Eden bit her bottom lip, chewing on it thoughtfully. “A medium would work better,” she murmured. “I don’t want there to be leftovers.”
“I’ll probably eat whatever you don’t,” Sterling said with a shrug. “And then I can save anything left over for later.”
“But we’ll be going back to school,” Eden reminded him. “You’ll leave the leftovers in your locker?”
Sterling blinked, frowning slightly. “Oh. Right. Well, then, I’ll just finish it all.”
Eden laughed, wrapping her arms around his waist. “You’re so adorable,” she murmured, chin on his chest. “It’s adorable.”
“That’s not adorable. You are the adorable one,” Sterling protested, shaking his head before kissing the top of hers.
“Am I?” Eden poked his chest twice before she pulled away. “It’s almost our turn. C’mon.”
Sterling chuckled and kept an arm around her as they moved up in the line. “What are you doing on Saturday? We should go out again.”
