Alto watched him leave, the smile fading from his lips. He turned and hugged Kris again, burying his face in his shoulder.

Kris hugs Alto gently, kissing the top of his head. "I've got you." He says gently. He picks Alto up and carries him to the couch. "Let's just relax tonight, okay?"

Alto nodded and relaxed into Kris’s arms, gazing sadly down the hallway at Halo’s door. He sighed quietly and rested his head on Kris’s chest.

"What's on your mind, love?" Kris asks gently, rubbing his hand along Altos arm soothingly.

"I just feel bad..I feel like i'm not there for Halo as much as I should be.." He said quietly, squeezing Kris's hand gently.

Kris kisses his forehead. "That's not true. You're concerned about him, you took the day off to be with him." He says gently.

"I know but..He needs someone who can be with him every second of the day and that should be me..but it's not."

"Easy. You have school, you're trying to take care of your brother. It's okay." Kris says gently.

Alto looked up at him worriedly. "And you! I could never forget about you, you're amazing." He smiled a little.

Kris smiles and kisses his forehead lovingly. "And me. That's a lot to deal with. I'm sure Halo understands."

Alto sighed quietly but nodded. "Yeah..I guess." He said, leaning forward and kissing Kris gently.

Kris kissed him back softly, wrapping his arms around the other.

Alto closed the door quietly after Kris left and walked over to Halo's door, raising his hand to knock. He paused for a second, wondering if he should just leave Halo alone, then decided against it and knocked softly.

Halo was sleeping soundly when Alto knocked. He slowly opens his eyes. "Come in…" He groans sleepily.

Alto opened the door and went over to his bed, draping himself over Halo and wrapping his arms around his brother.

Halo smiles as his brother joins him. He shifts so he was facing his brother and held onto him in return.

“I love you..” Alto said quietly, closing his eyes and holding onto Halo’s arm.

"Love you too…" He whispers softly.

Alto sat up sleepily, looking down at Halo. He suddenly realized that his homework was still sitting undone on the counter and jumped out of bed, accidentally tripping over pillow and falling over. He let out a little yelp and scrambled to his feet, running into the kitchen.
